Nice big size lots for larger rig. Close to go in and out of town if needed. Campground was just opening up for the season- didn’t feel like they had a lot of time to chat with campers but I will assume they had a lot going on. They were awesome to let a few of us in a night earlier. Washrooms were clean. Pool wasn’t operational yet (it was still cold/rainy). Laundry room is quite cold on the cooler days so make sure you have a jacket/sweater. Some of the machines could use a little TLC. Dryers were 48 minutes but some of the clothes still were not dry and our clothes are usually dry within30 minutes (this was our 92nd campsite in 2 years so we have something to compare it to ;0) ) Lots of room to walk your dog or just go for a walk. Some full timers but lots were kept fairly clean.

This is a great home base when visiting Halifax and the South shore. Parking was very easy with drive through sites. Family staff was very helpful and friendly. Truly a gem of a campsite so close to the city. Thank You for your hospitality. Marsh family

Love this campground. The owners are great and really take care of the place. I was a new camper and they helped us get settled in. The prices are a bit higher than I would like, but you get good services for the money. It is basically right across the road from the Hatfield Farm. It has a nice pool, and good washrooms. They have some wooded sites further in, and some open sites on top of the hill where you first come in, and where the office is. We chose to stay on the top of the hill and had a beautiful view of the hill and grounds of the Hatfield Farm. We got to see the farm animals, horses and cows roaming around the entire time, which made my mother very happy. Lovely views from this particular area of the campground. Our campsite didn’t have a fire-pit, but they delivered it, and they sell fairly good-sized bundles for $7 dollars each. I don’t think they sell kindling, so bring your own. I didn’t ask though, so they might. They have good bins for the garbage which we didn’t notice until we were driving out, and we had left our garbage in the washrooms. We will know better next time, and I would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in a good location. We picked our European motor home up from Halifax. The toilet cassette has broken and needed to source one. The staff were really helpful and couldn’t do enough to assist us.

Woodhaven is by far the best place to stay when we head out on the road with the RV in Nova Scotia, We love how convenient the location is, so much to do around! With the country on one side of you and the city on the other. The ownerships pride they have for their park shows through their Hospitality, Landscape and cleanliness. Their washrooms are extremely clean and so is their pool! Which the kids LOVED! Oh and did I mention it’s WARM ! Definitely a must when travelling NS !

We stayed 2 nights with a 3 way hookup, pull through. The site was spacious, clean and level. There is pizza, swarhma, liquor, gas, and a small market all within a few kilometers. The road out front is very busy, but no noise reached our site. I would recommend this place.

Very clean, very well managed park. The owners work hard to keep things running smoothly and still find time to be courteous and friendly. You won't find a better countryside setting, with the same countryside hospitality anywhere North of Georgia.

This was our first RV park experience. So good! The amenities are top notch. The staff is super helpful. The internet is solid. The bathrooms are clean. Plus the spaces are pretty spread apart, making it feel like you have some privacy. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Once again. Karrie-Ann and Bernie went beyond ,and I mean above and beyond, this is my third visit and will definitely go back ! A great location for visits to Peggy’s Cove, and downtown Halifax. If you are in the area of Halifax looking for a campsite, look no further… you found it at Woodhaven!

Such an amazing campground. As soon as we went to check in we felt super welcome. I absolutely love my site and it is a great size. The playground is awesome! It’s got a slide, lots of swings, and monkey bars all of the things kids love. The pool is heated! And it’s so nice on a hot day, they keep it so clean and it always looks spotless. Can’t explain my love for this campground! <3

I stayed here for a week. It's a great park, the staff work hard here and you can really see it in action. They escort you to your site and deliver wood to your site as well. Washrooms / laundry are all clean. 3 dollars for a wash and same for dry. Maintenance is on top of their game here. Great people.........good times.........

This is a fabulous campground with accommodation for all. There is everything from pull through to smaller areas to accommodate tents. Many are treed to allow for some privacy as well as aesthetically pleasing, The laundry facility is large enough to be comfortable and has several large washers/dryers. There is a pool and lounge area around the pool as well as a lounge building. The campground is large and the owners very friendly as well as hardworking, we saw them working constantly and it shows. The location is fantastic, near stores and restaurants and within commuting distance to Halifax without being in the downtown core. We look forward to returning to Woodhaven RV Park where the owners go out of their way to make your experience a positive one

Great quiet place. Spent 5 nights here very much enjoyed it. Bathrooms and showers well taken care of and clean. We used the laundry $2 wash $2 dry no issues and very clean. Sites are very well sheltered and have decent privacy with lots of room. Playground was great for kids and the pool was also nice. Easy walk to garbage and recycling. They sell ICE on site but much cheaper at the Irving or shell station up or down the road. Owners are very friendly and helpful. Camp ground is very quiet after 11 everything shutdown. Close to Halifax 20min and 30min to Peggys cove.

We have camped and used the Storage facility at Wood Haven for the past three years. Woodhaven is family owned and operated with pride. Great location, well run, clean, nice camp sites and with all amenities. If you would like to tour Halifax, The South Shore or the Annapolis Valley, Wood Haven RV Park is the best place to stay. Highly recommend.

We loved this park, it’s central to everything in Nova Scotia, but it also offers enough amenities for you to relax and just camp if you prefer. Friendly and helpful owners, staff and neighbors. There’s also a playground, a swimming pool, plenty of space to walk and it fits any size trailer. We camped with a 44ft fifth wheel and had enough room at our site. If you love camping and you’re at NS, make sure to stop by.

Our family with three young boys has stayed seasonally at Woodhaven in 2019 and now for 2022 and loved it!! We live nearby and find the location so convenient! The kids love the pool and swim every chance they get! I personally love to take in the summer sun that shines from all angles on the pool deck Adirondack chairs! The boys bike to the playground and around the campground and always try to swindle KA at the office for candy! lol This is a family owned campground and along with KA, Bernie and Dustin are always working hard around the property, guiding guests to their sites, repairing the driveway after a heavy rain, mowing, building or maintaining the beautiful trees on site. They have well positioned rules and I’ve never seen anyone breaking them, it’s a relaxed, safe and respectful camping environment! We’ve met wonderful people from all over and our family all loves watching when a really cool caravan of Air Streams pulls in! We’ve attended movie night fundraisers in the beautiful new rec building, chased bunnies around the park and had a quiet glass of wine or coffee outside our RV in the early mornings or late evenings, listening to the birds chirp! If you’re tired of your camp food, be sure to order the pepperoni pizza or the classic fish & chips from Acadian Fish & Chips just up the Hammonds Plains road, they’re unbelievable! Thank you, Woodhaven, you’ve been a place to create some amazing family memories! We even had a Christmas ornament made with a family photo from our first stay! :)

We thoroughly enjoyed this park. Lots of shade and centrally located to Halifax and many other areas you would want to explore in Nova Scotia. Our only complaint was spaces are pretty close together but the sites are all kept up and the couple that runs the park are wonderful.

Campground is family owned. The owners are wonderful hosts and do a great job maintaining the sites. Most sites have pull thru ability. You might say we are 'hooked'

Wonderful campground! Staff were amazing, friendly and hard working. Very clean and spacious. If there was a 6th star, I'd put 6 stars. Will visit again. And yes, I did stay there for 9 days.

Woodhaven RV Park Stayed in Woodhaven RV Park for 35 days. We had a fabulous time during our stay. We traveled to Halifax for Canada Day and celebrated. We saw a live canon display at the Citadel. We saw The Tattoo at the Scotiabank Center also in Halifax. We went to the lakes, beaches and Peggy’s Cove. Just down the road from Peggy’s Cove is Shaw’s Landing we had the best lobster roll ever. Thanks to Karrie-Ann for recommendation. Woodhaven RV is well maintained. The grass and greenery around the park is constantly being cut and groomed. During our stay the weather dropped six inches of rain in one night. The next day Bernie and Dustin were fixing the washouts in the roads around the park. Our site drained very well. After 6 inches of rain in one nigh we did not have any standing water. Our site was a pull through with big pine trees on both sides giving us privacy and as is was corner site we had lots of room for our MC car trailer our car and Jeep CJ Bernie, Karrie-Ann and Dustin where great hosts. We will be back to Woodhaven RV park.

Clean restrooms and showers, spacious sites, easy hook ups, organized process and very close to Halifax, Peggy’s Cove, etc. Has laundry facilities…. You need change though… should have a change machine. Otherwise I would definitely stay here again.

The park was easy to find. It is located about thirty minutes from the Harbor Walk in Halifax. There is pavement all the way until you arrive at the park entrance. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient, informative and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. The interior roads are gavel and in fairly good condition Our site, C3, was a that was pull thru plenty long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were to the left side. The sewer dump was pretty high in our site but still workable. Distancing is not great for a rural park. Most sites had a vegetation privacy barrier. Each site has a table and a fire pit. Our site was a little uneven but not overly bad. We sloped to the left rear but our levelers had no difficulty. Overall the park was clean and quiet but a little rough looking. The park included wifi worked well for surfing and email. We were informed that streaming is very frowned upon. Their system was not engineered for heavy DL. There is no cable TV but we did find some OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of trees. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. The men main bathroom looked bad only because the glazing on the tiles is lifting badly. The laundromat was clean and the washer driers worked well. There are no restaurants or stores within easy walking distance but just a short drive away you can find food, shopping and convenience stores. We found this park to be a good base for visiting local attractions. We paid $49.28 inc tax per night and we feel we received fair value. We bugged out earlier than we wanted to because Hurricane Fiona that was bearing down on the area but we will be back if in the area again.
