I was searching for a park with picnic tables, and like Goldilocks I could not locate a park just right. However, I was opportuned to stumble upon Wagner Park, and discovered they do indeed have picnic tables! Better yet, they're covered picnic tables, and even have a little charcoal grill next to it. I had a nice little picnic, and there are also covered garbage containers next to them to dispose of waste.

This is a great Lubbock Park for family cookouts and get togethers. The children are always pleased with the amenities. I saw one little one simply roll back and forth in the playground sand for what seemed like a half an hour. The kid seemed to be having so much fun I considered trying it out for myself...

One of the best things about Lubbock is its parks. This one adds to the prestige of the common areas of Lubbock.

Tennis and volleyball? Sounds too good to be true. That's because it is. The volleyball courts are concrete

This is a great park. Come when it's cooler evening or morning as the equipment is not in the shade but it's a great park! My bigs love the big climbing rocks

Beautiful neighborhood park! Lots of grass and trees to sit under, and a great playground for the kids. The main complaint I have is the sidewalk circling the park is crushed granite instead of more solid concrete or pavers, and can therefore be rough for walking our son in his stroller, and can creat mud patches after rain. Still a great park!

Cozy park with playground, tennis court, and gazebos. During the summer, Westwinds performs concerts. Great for kids, cookouts, and simply enjoying time outside.

The trees and landscaping are immaculate. Peaceful, clean, gazebo, good for walking. It is hard to believe that you are still in Lubbock, TX because it's so wonderfully beautiful.

Home sweet home. So cool to see all the neighborhood kids gather here. You can't go to this park and NOT see someone you know.
