Can I give something like negative 5 star. One of the worst places you can stay. I will list what all were wrong in the two rooms I looked at: 1. The room smells of smoke 2. Room lock was not working 3. Almost half of the lights in the room were not functional 4. Carpet and bed looked unwashed since ages 5. No coffee machine in room 6. Front desk guy was not cooperative at all It took me 5 minutes to decide that I will not stay - better stay away and have some needed mental peace after a long tiring day.

My family and I went to Lubbock, Texas for the weekend to see the Texas Tech football game. Our stay was for Friday, October 13 thru Sunday October 15. Our reservation was made in advance for a family of four. We arrived in Lubbock during the day and before going to the hotel we visited the university, had lunch, and did some shopping. We arrived after dark, went into the lobby, and paid for our stay. Our room was 210 but there was no room number to be found. After finding the room and entering we were shocked at the condition the room was in. The door security lock was broken, drapes hanging off broken rod. Nails driven through the ceiling, no blankets on the bed, and stains on the mattress like someone gave birth on the bed. The chairs were stained and disgusting, used towel throw on the sink counter, and broken bathroom door. Absolutely disgusting and sickening. The pictures donā€™t even show the nauseating effect it had personally standing in the room. The parking lot had people sitting around drinking out of paper bags and we did not feel safe. The hotel would not refund our credit card. The enclosed invoice and pictures are included with this email. Sam Emmerson

This was the worst motel experience Iā€™ve ever had. The room had a very strong smoke odor. The smoke detector was handing off the wall. The bath tub was filthy. The remote to the tv was not working. I was able to switch rooms. Although this new room did not smell of smoke, there was no bathroom tissue, the linens appeared dirty, and the sink faucet was broken. And to top it all off, the smoke detector needed a battery change and Kept chirping all night. This place is seriously a joke. Stay away.

If i could rate in the negative i would. This hotel is not as advertised. 1. The linens were not cleaned or changed. There were stains on the pillow cases and crumbs in the bed. 2. i requested a double queen bed, got fulls. 3. The room smelled like smoke. 4. there were unpatched holes in the wall 5. The bathtub was disgusting, there was a hole due to rusting and breakdown. 5. The floors were sticky. carpet AND bathroom. 6. there were dead flies everywhere. All around i felt unsafe in the environment. i didnā€™t feel clean or comfortable. i stayed there long enough to find a new hotel. luckily, the man up front gave me a full refund and was very nice. This hotel needs to do better and advertise what the place actually looks like. cause these pictures arenā€™t it.

Location was good. Staff was AMAZING, however cleanliness is an issue. We pulled the blanket down to get in bed. There was a bar of soap under the sheets and a wadded up ball of tissue....hair in the tub. The bathroom was extremely small . Samson in the morning was a lot of help and very friendly. The young man that checked us in was also very nice. He had long braids, but I didn't get his name. Clean it up and it won't be a bad place at all

Our Uber warned us right before dropping us off not to let them place us near the back end. That area is exposed to an ally where there was lots of transients roaming by. The front desk clerk told us that if we wanted to stay closer to the front, we would have to get a room with two beds instead of the king. We agreed. Once in our room, we noticed right away how unkept the room was. Stains on linen, towels and walls. Broken wall A/C adapter and cable box. The toilet had very low pressure and it took a good 5 flushes to get everything down the bowl. No complimentary hand soap or shampoo. The sofa was so disgustingly stained that we absolutely refused to sit on it. We bought our own cleaning supplies just to feel comfortable enough staying there. Staff was friendly enough but overall, itā€™s clear management does not have standards when it comes to the rooms presentation. Would never stay here again. šŸ‘ŽšŸ¼

First of all, they charged $194 per night. On the plus side it did not smell. Most everything else was wrong though. Linens were dirty, the room was unfinished, they were holes in the walls. The toilet was not clean and had pee stains from the previous tenant. All of the elements to make coffee were available in the room, however, there was no coffee maker. At some point it should be criminal to offer these rooms. The door did not even have a security lock on it. If it had not been after midnight, and we were so exhausted, we would have checked right back out.

Worst hotel in the world. Every room smells like mold, smoke, or urine. We went through 3 rooms. 173,210,217. 173 had a door handle that was barely hanging on and a poor shower. You can see the water damage above the bed. 210 had no curtain with no rod to hang it. 217 had half the lights working, you have to fight the shower if you want a temperature other than ice cold. The hotel does not represent the pictures online. Drugs, escorts and other riff raff just hang out. My recommendation is too not stay here. Ever. The owners donā€™t care. We didnā€™t even have a comforter. When we requested one, we got a small throw. Lubbock is the worst and we found the worst of the worst. Pay the extra money, stay at the double tree. Itā€™s not worth the stench that stains your bags or your animals.

This hotel is filthy and dangerous. It is falling apart, a building hazard. The room stunk, was dirty and torn up. Bullet hole in the door, with tissue stuffed inside the hole. Nasty stains everywhere. Do not stay here! We had to leave. The worst place I have ever seen. The front desk person was nice.

Staff issues with Noel Victor. Flew into Lubbock for business. Decided to try this hotel since it was so close to where I was working. My flight landed around 10:00am and my Uber dropped me off at the hotel around 10:15. Upon approaching the counter I was rudely greeted with ā€œCan I help you?ā€ When explaining I needed to check in Noel Victor was visibly annoyed. He found my reservation and told me if I wanted to check in Iā€™d need to settle for a different type of room then reserved. I told him Iā€™d be okay waiting for my reserved room. I asked him they had a chair I could sit in till my room came available. He began to raise his voice and told me I needed to leave his lobby or check into the different type of room. I asked why I couldnā€™t wait in the lobby and all he said was no one is allowed to wait in his lobby. I explained I got dropped off and had no where to go and he said he didnā€™t care, I needed to find another place to wait, or check in. I proceeded to cancel all the rooms I had reserved.

Filthy, halfway house of a hotel. Flies and roaches in the room. Filthy furniture and carpets. Stinks of smoke. Cigarette stains everywhere. Nice hole in the bathroom wall and door. I can go on and on. Not worth it unless you crave roach motels.

Sheets were damp in one room, ripped in another. Stay here if you smoke, have a dirty job and want to sleep in your clothes. If you donā€™t want to feel like youā€™re in a hookah lounge on a back alley, look elsewhere. This place was probably nice at some point and could be again, but itā€™s like the people in charge have become alcoholics and/or have lost the ability to care and to lead. I do appreciate the sincere young men at the desk who politely refunded my reservation.

This is a horrible hotel. The pictures published are not even close to what it actually is like. Our king, non-smoking room was not cleaned and it smelled of smoke. We were given another room. It was horrible as well. No room phone, no toilet paper, soap, cups etc. There are homeless people all over. There was no handles on the shower to turn water on. There are holes in the sheet rock. The smoke detector has no batteries. The list goes on and on. I am a Wyndam Member and frequently stay in Wyndam hotels for business, all over the country. I cannot believe this is a Wyndam property. I also have no idea how the Lubbock Fire Marshall and the code enforcement allows this hotel to be open. Do not recommend. I would rather sleep in my pickup on a railroad track, then stay here again. This place should be bulldozed.

Can I give zero stars??? Soo.. my company put me up in a room for the night. Usually a good place. Baymontā€¦ usually a solid choice. Nooooā€¦ nooooooooooooooo. Wow, where to start Āæ?Āæ Walking in the room : first glance ok. And thenā€¦. Only one sheet on the bed. (No problem, Iā€™ll keep the air conditioning moderate) Whereā€™s the remote control for the television Āæ? Not in this Or that drawerā€¦ no controller Bathroom: door has a fist puncture like the 70ā€™s (ask your mom) No problem, Iā€™ll just throw away my minimal refuse intoā€¦, nothing (unless you count the toilet). Thereā€™s no waste basket. None. Should have known, cause as soon as the front door opened, the grill on the A/C unit dropped off and hits the floor like a dying house fly. All splayed outā€¦ Itā€™s been 15 minutesā€¦.. Iā€™ll be sure to find something more, God bless if I HAD to use the shower šŸ™šŸ» Hey folksā€¦. Just ā€¦ .. . No God bless, save your money. Thereā€™s probably a decent homeless shelter nearby that takes last minute campers in desperate need of shelter. (Iā€™m only half joking)

Horrible, my room was dirty. Sheets were dirty and there was leftover McDonaldā€™s in the fridge. They tried to give me a different room after and these are pictures from that 2nd room. A plunger by the bed and a broken in door frame with a broken lock. They ā€œcanceledā€ my stay and i went elsewhere. Still havenā€™t received my refund with Priceline cause this hotel canā€™t even verify it was canceled. This was a month ago.

This building is falling apart. It is a dangerous environment full of drug dealers and drug addicts, they actually have drug addicts working there. Their rooms are filthy they have kids around whose parents are dealing out of the rooms. There was a lot of in and out traffic in a majority of the rooms. Do not recommend, it should be shut down.

This was by far the absolutely worst hotel experience I have ever had. First the I walk in and see flies all over the room. Then, I walk in to see no shower head. Just a raw pipe. The room wreaked of smoke. And as if this all wasn't enough to send you packing....I saw half a sub sammich covered in cockroaches. The guy at the counter said he canceled my reservation but to get with Wyndham about getting my points I spent on the room back. Wow!!!

Yuck. This place is dirty. When we got to our room and turned down the sheets (no blanket on the bed, no comforter) they were dirty...crumbs and hair in the sheets. We did not stay. We thought that since it was a Wyndham hotel near a concert venue, that the quality would be good, but...no.

This was the absolute worst experience I've ever had with any hotel! Don't believe the pictures you see of the "so called" luxurious rooms! They are trash! So we checked in, but got our room and the TV did not work! After endless calls, I maintenence nor management responded to us. They blew us off! I'm going for a refund!

  • 1/5 Frances T. 11 months ago on Google
We did end up canceling the day of for a full refund*** This place was not at all the same as what's pictured. The building is blue and the rooms are white and blue, no other colors whatsoever. Our room stank of weed/cigarettes immediately. There were various stains all over the room (see pictures) and cracks in the wall lining the door. It's not what is pictured above AT ALL. When we got to our new hotel, they confirmed that this is typical of this hotel and they commonly get people that leave this place for other places. Do not recommend at all!!!

Absolutely DISGUSTING!!!! Pictures are deceiving. Booked a non smoking room and the room was filled with the smell of smoke! No covers just sheets.. tv didnā€™t work.. everything about the room was just super nasty. Iā€™ve stayed in better motels for less. -1000000 DO NOT RECOMMEND TO ANYONE!!

If I could leave negative stars, I would. Upon first entering the room, we noticed the sheets were dirty and it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. There was trash on the nightstand, floor, and stuck to the wall. There was someone else's groceries in the fridge. In the bathroom, there was hair on the tub. The toilet was disgusting with pee stains everywhere. I would have rather used a gas station bathroom. Good thing we didn't want to shower because there was no towels, only two washcloths, and no hot water. We did ask for the sheets to be changed, and they did do that for us, but we couldn't make ourselves stay the night. We left and drove home rather than staying in such a nasty place.

No towels in the room.. called front desk who said he'd bring them up but never arrived. No blanket, just the sheet on bed.. combined with a heater that only blows cool air made for a sleepless cold night's stay. Sheet on one bed had makeup stains. TV stuck in DirecTV provisioning mode. Missing light bulb at desk; one of two bulbs at bed lamp out. Electrical wiring definitely wouldn't pass inspection. Dirty toilet didn't flush due to disconnected chain.. fixed that for you, I'll send you a bill.

Scary bad! Rooms were filthy and filled with flies. since I arrived late I had a little choice to but to stay the night. They gave me a second room but it was only better in that there were no flies. Dirty, smelly, old, in desperate need of renovation. Upholstery on the chair that I wouldnā€™t sit on was torn. Stain sheets, stained tub, only one towel, no soap or shampoo. Just bad in every way it could be bad. By myself OK but I would never have stayed in this room with my family! The next morning I went to tell the manager it was false advertising - the photos that were depicted online vs the room(s) I actually received. Rather than apologize he became immediately argumentative and rude for no reason. I asked him how long he had been in the hospitality industry he said ā€˜none of your business!ā€™ save yourself, read the other reviews, and avoid staying here!!!
