The apartments themselves are decent. Maintenance respond fast and the maintenance guy is great. He even tries to keep the ground and outside clean. My biggest issue with this place that is really starting to annoy me is the lack of enforcement on dog rules. A pitbull jumped on my sister due to a dog owner not paying attention and little to nothing was done, dogs poop on the middle of the sidewalk constantly-nothing is done, dog owners let their dogs walk over my patio and knock my stuff over nothing is done and the day that I’m writing this there are 2 big dogs walking around without an owner or a leash and when I called the office the ladies response was “we don’t know what to do. We called the dog pound and they couldn’t take them because they have collars so we don’t know what else to do” 2 big dogs are just walking around without an owner and the property managers response was “we don’t know what else to do”. I do not hate this place. This is my biggest issue with living here. I am just genuinely fed up with dog rules that aren’t enforced also I don’t know what happened to Vicki but things were better when she was running the property

For those reading the reviews, Vicki is no longer with the company unfortunately. The apartments are clean (but the appliances are a little outdated) and the area feels safe. It's especially nice for big dog owners who don't need to worry about a weight limit and might not have anywhere else to go. I would say that is the main great thing about the complex. I've only had positive interactions with the other residents, though there's not much of a community vibe. The HUGE complaint that I have is that staff are incredibly inaccessible. Almost every single time I try to reach out to them, which I'm doing during business hours, they're not in office. Another frustration is that the office hours are strictly during the time when most adults are working, so it makes it even less accessible. There used to be a couple of weekend hours, but that is no longer the case. You will have a very hard time trying to get in contact with the office, which also means things like maintenance requests take longer for processing. I'm currently without ac in the living room, a request submitted early yesterday as high priority that still hasn't even been processed. And it definitely won't get processed today because once again, no one is in the office. I really wish that office staff were more consistent because it's the biggest frustration of living here currently.

I have been living here for a few months, for the most part it is an okay apartment complex but there are a few glaring issues. Pros: -Quiet and friendly neighbors -Good location, close to Maumee, Holland, Perrysburg, and West and South Toledo - Lots of trees in the area adds a nice feel to the grounds - Most of the maintenance staff, especially James and Morgan, are friendly and knowledgeable. Cons: -The buildings are older, resulting in issues with plumbing under kitchen sink coming apart, flooding underneath the sink (twice). High humidity and little ventilation in the apartments is also an issue. - It is extremely difficult to reach the leasing office, especially by phone. Oftentimes they are at the other apartment complex across the street. - The inside of my apartment was very sloppily painted, and at move in the bathroom was absolutely filthy. - The laundry facility has old washers and dryers that are prone to occasionally staining your clothes, and will often leave lots of lint on clothes. Overall, not a terrible place to live, but certainly not a place that I would recommend at the current price until some of the issues mentioned above are fixed.

I was suppose to meet up with Scott, one of the leasing agent to look at a unit tour however he didn’t show up. So unprofessional and I tried calling the office several times, no one answers. I don’t recommend. So inconsistent and I’m sure they don’t care about their residents

Vicki in the front office is the best and I could not have moved without her help and caring attentiveness to my needs, me being someone with a disability needing to move states. Vicki in particular went absolutely above and beyond, and she is always friendly and has a smile for all the tenants. Makes you feel welcome. She and the other staff have been accommodating to my needs without grumbling, and though there were some last minute maintenance needs when I moved in, the maintenance staff took care of it quickly. The apartments are a bit on the old side but they handle sound well, and they are comfortable at an affordable price point! Additionally, the apartment staff are making efforts to beautify the space by adding a green area in the area outside my building. Overall I am pleased and hope to stay here for a long time.

I lived at Whispering Timbers for almost 3 years and it improved more and more each year. The apartments are spacious and area is safe! The office manager Vicki is super helpful and responsive. The complex is adding a community garden that I wish I could have been there to see!

I’ve lived here for three years and my lease is ending at the end of August. First I would like to say it has been a great experience all in all living here. It’s a quiet apartment complex with a nice open field to walk your pets or for yourself. They’ve added a dog park, and they truly are pet friendly unlike others that make you jump through hoops. One star taken away because the pool I moved in for was closed and landscaped over so a years worth of construction put a damper on daily life, though I understand the costs and are turning it into a nice area. They are in the process of remodeling, though when I moved in my apartment had no updates or remodeling including old carpet from prior tenants with stains. Small potatoes in the big picture and far better for family living or a quiet couple. I’ve never had to worry about my place getting broken into though my car had its catalytic converter stolen but that happens everywhere so don’t hold it against them. In the end it was the cost of living here which drove me away not the community itself. Maintenance is on point and management listens, I have changed my thoughts on referring people and have directed them here based on these upgrades and the quiet/polite neighbors. I can’t speak to how move out will go since I’m still here. However, if you are looking and are comfortable with the monthly rate of rent then I’d give this place a thumbs up.

I honestly wish I could rate this place 0. Every week it seems to be a problem, and we are stuck here until August. Management really doesn’t seem to care about problems, and there have been issues that go days without being looked at, with my boyfriend even calling the other apartment nearby since they are owned by the same company. Maintenance has even come in and done stuff while my partner has been in the shower, which is totally inappropriate. First, the walls and floors are paper thin. I can hear my neighbors next to me when they listen to music or move a chair, and the people below us hate us because they can hear every footstep and movement from us above. I can hear dogs barking 250 feet away in the nearby neighborhoods with all doors and windows closed. Management also did not seem to care about updating and making the place safe between tenants, as when we moved in, the towel rack in the bathroom was almost split in half and almost hanging off the wall, the windows grow mildew and condensation every night, (their only suggestion was for us to buy a $200 dehumidifier) and the freezer stops working, rising the temp to almost 50 degrees (we bought a thermometer and that’s in the danger zone for frozen food). Every problem has been met with a lack of urgency, and when maintenance comes, one of them tries to fault us with problems. For instance, when the kitchen sink pipe came loose, he blamed us for pulling on it or when he came to finally replace the towel rack, he blamed us for putting too much weight on it. The kitchen sink also had to be replaced, and we’ve had to buy caulk for the bathroom sink, as it leaked. We had it fixed by maintenance once, and it leaked again, so we had to fix it since mold started to grow on everything under there. The last straw was today, when I was doing dishes and heard a loud thud under the sink. I looked under and found that the pipe had come undone again, weeks after he had fixed it, and dirty dishwater was flooding everything and anything underneath. I spent 25 minutes trying to clean it up so it wouldn’t mess up the wood underneath, but anything not made of glass and plastic is now ruined. Lastly, the washer and dryers are disgusting and keep going up in price, which is unfair considering that they do not service the machines, as washers have gone almost months filled with nasty water and every load is filled with pet hair and lint. Just an overall poor experience, especially with a first-time apartment for us.

I've been here for a month, and have been very happy. Maintenance has been prompt and friendly. My apartment is spacious and perfect for me. Vicki, in the office, has been super helpful and sweet. I left a very stressful and difficult situation, and moving here has brought me so much peace. My dogs and I are very happy!

Vicki was really great and instrumental in helping us move into our new place with a very short turnaround time. My only complaint would be that the office phone doesn't seem to be working and would disconnect the call when I try to reach out. However, Vicki was very responsive to emails which made up for it. Other than that, the apartment and the overall apartment complex looks good and we are happy to call it our new home.
