This place has been my go-to coffee place/ breakfast book/ comfort zone while in vacation in Edinburgh. The staff are super friendly and welcoming, the smashed avocado toast (see photo) is to die for, and the coffee is spot on. If you get lucky one of two soft leather armchairs might be available, the best seat in Edinburgh! The books are for reading, not for sale, unfortunately.

I comer a friend for coffee here and it was perfect! I have walked past many times but never been in - but that is set to change. The interior of the cafe is beautifully adorned with wooden furniture, armchairs, old bookcases and a cosy winter feeling as if you are in a ski lodge in Scandinavia. The atmosphere was relaxed and perfect for a catch up with friends, but also quiet enough to get work done on a laptop of you wanted to. Service was very friendly and the coffee - I had a latte - was warm, smooth and creamy with chocolatey tones and a lovely artistic design in the foam. Will definitely be back for more 🩵☕️

A cozy cafe that has the best chai latte in town🫖 I really like it. The smashed avocado toast I tried today was delicious and very filling, with a decent price too🥑 The staff members are always friendly and welcoming. They really stand out from the other cafes in Edinburgh. Honestly I'm mad at myself for not finding this cafe earlier! You can also get a 10% student discount.

Cute little cafe that is open till late (rare in Edinburgh) and looks cosy inside. Think of a holiday chalet with stone walls with decoration, comfy chairs and wooden tables. Plus delicious coffee good food or treats. Definitely will be back🤗

I came here to do some work on my laptop, and was then joined by my sister for a catch up and to play some games we'd brought. It suited both purposes well, although I didn't need to charge my laptop and we played a game that didn't need much space as the tables are small. There's not a lot of space, but the 2 armchairs at the back are sooo comfy, and the normal chairs are really comfy too! I love the decoration with books and cool lampshades, and the general relaxed vibe. I had a lovely gingerbread latte, and a good cheese toastie and apple tart (no other desserts were left sadly). The food was good but not amazing and fairly expensive. The service wasn't fast, but not too slow. Friendly staff and I love that's it's open late so I could keep working until meeting my friend later on.

I saw this place on instagram and curiously walk in as I am on my solo trip. This place is such a vibe. They served nicely brewed coffee. Staff are friendly as well.

I visited last week and ordered a white mocha, by far the best I’ve ever had :) The cafe has a lovely relaxed atmosphere with a variety of seating, great for if you’re catching up with friends, reading, or getting some light work done. There’s also a 10% student discount which is great!

We ordered an oat chai latte, carrot cupcake, Nutella latte and a Brie toastie with chutney, avocado and salad and they were all delicious and beautifully presented. Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere, great place to work as there is free wifi and plug sockets by most of the tables. I definitely recommend!
