Great hidden gem! We were traveling through and looking for something other than fast food. This place was great! The lasagna and chicken marsala were delicious and the beer and wine selection was impressive. The staff was incredibly friendly and informative. The outside patio was charming. I highly recommend trying this place. Also, the owner ran after us after my wife left a sweater at the table, which was a very appreciated kind gesture.

We wanted to stop for a quick bite on a road trip, but we were tired of fast food. We read the reviews & decided to venture off 95. So glad we did. Adorable eclectic place; friendly staff & owner. Great concept: delicious food and wine bar, and showcases very talented local artists with art & craftwork available for sale. The blue cheese on the burger was outstanding. The shrimp po boy (a special) was one of the best I ever had. Wish we could have stayed longer for dessert but we had an event to go to. We hope to go again on our way back home. Go. You’ll be glad you did!

I love love love the total vibe of this place. The owner is really nice and our server was great. I loved the purple room and the whole concept all together. The food ? Totally delicious!!! Def a keeper ! I love that the little side bowl is handmade as well.

I absolutely loved dining here! I really wish we had a place like this back home. The food was very good while being reasonably priced. But my favorite part was the environment. The decor is very eclectic and homey which i enjoyed a lot. They have paintings from local artists that you can buy. They have varied seating options. If you have a big party you can dine in the back which is an open space with multiple tables. There are also separate rooms that are more closed off if you want a more private dining experience. I definitely recommend stopping in to eat here.

We held the celebration of my mom’s life at Happenings on Elm earlier this month. My mother was an artist, and the owners worked closely alongside us to put together a tasteful, intimate, and artistic event in her honor. The food is great and they offer a good selection of local craft beers and wine. My husband and I look forward to returning to Happenings on Elm whenever we are visiting Lumberton. This place is a unique local treasure!

Celebrating a recently marriage and with family decided give this place a shot. I can see why they have an almost 5 star rating. Beautiful vibe, staff is nice and food was awesome. The owner even gave us a cheese cake on the house for just getting married! We'll be back! Thanks!

Thank you, Thank you Thank you to Phillip, Annette and their staff for hosting our dinner event. This place has charm unlike any other. They support local artists by showcasing their work which only adds to the eclectic décor. From start to finish the appetizers, main course and desserts were off-the-hook. The lasagna was some of the best I've ever had. Our guests were raving about it and asking Phillip for the recipe. As great as the food was, what made our experience so special was working with Phillip and Annette. They take pride in what that do and they made you feel like an old friend. Definitely plan to come back next time I'm in the area.

This was a great find in Lumberton NC on a work trip in the area. Very friendly host and servers - food is made from scratch and tasted great. Interior decor is bright and artsy. Good beer on tap and wide wine selection.

Love this place. Owners have never met a stranger and the food is excellent. Usually overdo it because it’s so good Favorites include the charcuterie boards, cheeseburger, fettuccine, Reuben, and Cuban Always had a great experience there

Amazing! My husband and I found our new date night spot! We enjoyed the awesome atmosphere with great food, wine and dessert! Everyone was friendly and nice! We highly recommend
