Great food. Relaxed and n8ce staff. Only issue is they dropped sauce on my wife's dress. The staff didn't say anything and waited till we left.

Usually very delicious food however on this occasion we had to send back the lamb chops as they were too salty and we had to wait nearly 1/2 hour to get our meal. I have to admit the chicken wings starter and lamb curry on the bone were absolutely amazing so they made up for it.

The food is as delicious as I remember it, and there was plenty of it. A little bit pricey for tapas (I would expect smaller and less pricey dishes so I could order a few). I couldn't really order more than 2 dishes so I went for a tapas dish and a main, however they were veeery tasty and enough to take a bit home too. We had the lamb on the bone, the chicken on the bone, squid and paneer. Love the authentic food which is made fresh and the sauces are not out of a war, which happens in most cheaper Indian restaurants. I also had a lovely mocktail, and the others had wine and beer.

Very nice appetizers, good wings. Mains not bad but quite typical. One star off as the staff wears really dirty aprons. We were the first customers in which means the clothing was unchanged from last day or lunch and just looked really dirty. Made me wonder what else they do not clean here

I used to love papa j but ever since they have changed their chef the food is really disgusting. Today i have spend £12 on lamb bhuna but the dish is tasting like it is burnt and the quality according to £12 was very less. It was half a box. I just had the curry because i didn’t cook anything at home. Very very very disappointed . Prices are already too high plus food is not worth it.

Had a really nice evening at Papa J’s. Food was really good service was excellent couldn’t fault it once. Food came out delicious we even received free drinks and a dessert for my birthday which was a special touch. Thanks to everyone especially to Adrian, Amay and Meet for being so polite and helpful.

We went to Papa J's for our iftar meal after Maghrib today, but this time we were totally disappointed with the meal. The naan breads were soggy and half done, we didn't even finish our whole meal. The chicken curry was also not fresh. Totally lacks in service standards Definitely will not go again and will try Karvaan instead.

    - Decent vegetarian choices - about 5 mins walk from car park - gets busy during evenings - nice tapas choices, great starters, Biryani can be a bit spicy

After eating non veg for several day I thought to try veg food and choose Papa J’s restaurant and they didn’t disappoint me. The food was tasty and staff was also very friendly. I recommend every one if you are in Luton and want to eat veg food ( non veg I didn’t try) please give a try.

The food was delicious and well spiced. We had the King platter. Some of the chicken and lamb pieces were a little dry. The quantity was more than enough for 4 people. Garlic naan was good too. The staff was very friendly and took good care of us even though we arrived quite late in the night.

We have been going to PJ since it opened. All the food is really very nice. There are several other nice Indian restaurants in 🇬🇧, however, having been born and brought up in Mumbai and being a “foodie” I can assure you that none other establishment in 🇬🇧 comes close to Papa J in Luton. I know what good Indian restaurant food is and it is right here in PJ. A great place to go with your family or friends, relax and have a superb meal. The staff is also very nice; professional and non intrusive with very good hospitality.

My second experience in an indian restaurant. Just loved it. The food was really tasty. The personnel is absolutely polite. They insisted that some dish (atomic wings) is really spicy, trying to make sure I avoid doing a mistake ordering it. Just cute. 😁 My best spicy experience.

It was a nice evening out with work colleagues celebrating a birthday. We started off with the king platter as pictured and the atomic wings, which went down well before we all chose our main course. Service was good and food was great.

Went to Papa J’s with some friends. It was the first time we have been there. The waitress was very patient and helpful (we had lots of questions) and her recommendations were spot on. The food was exceptional and we had a thoroughly enjoyable experience. The staff were all very polite, friendly and enthusiastic. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Overall enjoyed the food, ordered poppadoms between 9 and only 3 chutneys were given. Ambience was good
