You probably need your own transport to drive up to this exclusive property perched on the cliffs fronting Lake Lucerne. Parking is complimentary for all guests and is located in a huge basement structure. Luxury sports cars and celebrities are a common sight here. The property is luxuriously maintained with stunning views of the mountains at the back and the pristine Lake-views to the north. Do yourself a favor to book the lake views with balcony. It is the only way to enjoy the stunning Panoramic views Burgenstock is known for. You will then enjoy access to the spa (another post) and all day picturesque view of the blue waters and luscious greenery in the summer months from your balcony. All guest enjoy unlimited ferry transport to Lucerne and back. The breakfast is legendary with service provided at a very high level. As of this post, the breakfast is enjoyed a La Carte at the famous Spice restaurant that has a Panaromic view of the lake. The spread and quality of the breakfast is 5 stars. Tip : take a trip up the “Lift” which is covered to another post. There is a cafe up there where you can enjoy a small picnic with breadth taking views

Careful, if you decide to get a coffee by the reception and you're wearing (clean) hiking clothes (what else would one be wearing in this weather) you'll be told by the staff that "we just wanted to say that we normally have a dress code but can accommodate you this time and we won't ask you to go home and change". Also, the cappuccino was mediocre.

The best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. Pricey but worth it. The photos do not do justice to the view! The service was generally good and staff were helpful. Our check in process wasn’t very smooth but the staff tried their best to rectify it. The spa, swimming pool were exceptional, I wish I allocated more time for them. The gym is pretty well equipped too, of course it also had a great view.

Small rooms. You can't open the window. No balcony. Very narrow room. I felt like a fish in an aquarium. Actually claustrophobic to stay in..... Super expensive stay, I presume because of the location and view. Very limited Manu at outdoor pool.

Just wow! This hotel is outstanding. The spa is out of this world with breathtaking views. The hotel is dog friendly and the staff are fantastic in every way possible! We felt very welcome and were given complimentary moet, chocolates, dates and truffles. The breakfast is delicious with great views. I can not recommend this hotel enough. We will be back again.

Lovely rooms, spectacular views amazing service. Staff anticipated your needs and were always there to help. 7 different restaurants, we tried 3 all were good. My only complaint was we wanted to try several amenities and were told they were complimentary but we would need to get tickets from the concierge. When we went to the concierge we were told the amenities were not complimentary for our rooms

We have been there on a spontaneous weekend to enjoy the view and have our lunch. Due to bad weather we couldn't enjoy the views, however our lunch at Spices was awesome, it was probably one of the best Asian food experience in my life so far. The downside was, we have to pay additional 50CHF for funicular to enjoy the lunch.

Well worth a visit if in Heidelberg. Think it was €9 to get in. Huge site of which half is occupied and half derelict. Gardens at top are vast so is good to have plenty time, we only just caught closing time (6pm). Walk up and down are tough on knees but not impossible. Very pretty as is most of the old town

Very friendly and considerate service. Exceptional view of the lake and the surrounding landscape. Especially magical in the wintertime!

Unfortunately not sustainable and few certified organic foods. Optimized for people with oil money. Don’t care about the planet.

The first thing that made me wonder about this place was -"how on earth did they manage to build such a structure on a mountain like this?" Absolutely stunning view from up there. 2-3 restaurants to choose from. Great cuisine. 👍 I haven't stayed there, so I can not comment on the rooms. Am sure they are exorbitantly good.

Amazing hotel and location and very helpful staff. The food is amazing and the service in the restaurants was perfect. We loved almost everything, the food, vibe and the service. Small comment, they didn’t make up the room yesterday till we called them at around 3 pm (despite the fact that we lift the room around 9 and turned on the green light). In Addition they left the strainer of the shower open as they cleaned the room in the afternoon And the real disappointment was as we wanted to cancel the couple massage it was not possible because of the 24 hours cancellation policy, which I fully understand usually but the weather was not really good today so we have the options either to pay and not get the massage or wait for 2 hours for the massage. And they couldn’t move the massage to any earlier time which indicate how busy they are But overall it was amazing

Celebrated a special birthday at their Asian restaurant: amongst the best Asian food in Switzerland it must be said. The Team / Staff are exceptionally friendly and professional.

The Bürgenstock Resort is definitely an experience you need to make. The view from there is absolutely amazing, if its the Lake Lucerne or the beautiful mountains and land scape. The Resort has so much to offer for you, they have a cinema, tennis, golf, a big selection of culinary adventures, hiking trails and then there is the Alpine Spa. This spa is huge and so well and beautiful designed. You have a very warm ambiente in the indoor-areas and they have a lot to offer there. The couffeur is amazing, they have a very cool kids club and a big selection of bookable treatments. The infinity pool is THE spot in the spa area everyone wants to see. I reccommend to go there outside of the splash&flash times, because then there are not too many people and you can enjoy the breathtaking view by yourself. The hollywood pool is also very cool and if you are into sunbathing, then this is your place to be. There you also have the OAK-Grill, where you can get a refreshing drink and also some snacks and food. The rooms are beautiful designed and the view from the rooms, no mather if lakeview or alpineview, is amazing. If you want to learn something from the history you should visit the history walk on the right side of the building. Also a big Shout-Out to their gardener and floristic team, the whole place contains so many beautiful and well-treated plants and the flower arrangements in the lobby are OUTSTANDING! The staff there is super nice, the valets and the three receptions in the lobby are extremely welcoming, same applies to service, housekeeping and spa staff.

I have only been to the restaurant, once for the Afternoon Tea and another time spontaneously for a boat ride, both very pleasant experiences, the service is very good, friendly, the view is Fantastic, elegant, modern and cozy, I hope to be able to stay with my husband celebrating one of our next anniversaries.

My stay at the Palace Hotel was really wonderful. I couldn't imagined such a magical lake view from our balcony. The room was absolutely fantastic, very confortable and luxurious. The service was excellent from the beginning to the end - employees are very attentive to your needs and take care of you. It was a lovely experience I definitely recommend to my beloved ones. The Spa is a wonderful place to relax and disconnect - I could have spent hours there, enjoying both panoramic view and infinity pool. I am looking forward to another stay at the Palace Hotel !

Iconic hotel. Worth it, next level luxury beyond 5 stars. Great for couples or solo, or even as a treat yourself weekend if doing business nearby ;) all views from the room are majestic. spa is unbelievable and can’t find something like that anywhere else. Breakfast was lush and lovely and seafood at the main restaurant for dinner was amazing! Highly recommend. Worth the added travel time.

It’s a fantastic resort to relax, I would like to recommend to people who enjoy Maldives. Beautiful view and great services, although the food is not that nice, but overall is great! The pool is sooooooooo good, I think it’s desired for lifetime!

We were here for an early afternoon tea, and we enjoyed it so much. The view is spectacular, the service is 5 stars and everything here is luxurious, also the prices. The quality of the food and the teas is outstanding, we loved the pistachio cake and the cookies. Better to book in advance your spot.

Beautiful views from the property and spa, particularly from the infinity pool. The staff were friendly and helpful. They really made our stay as part of our anniversary trip special and we hope to go back for longer some time. The included catamaran to Lucerne was a nice day out. They were also very dog friendly and provided a good quality dog bed.

Our new favorite hotel. definitely in the splurge category but totally worth it. Loved that they don’t nickel and dime you once you get there. Breakfast is one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel and spa has to be experienced to be believed. I would not recommend using American Express platinum as it’s a better deal just using the packages from the hotel and they don’t honor American Express platinum upgrade. Also do NOT go to their Parisi Restaurant- their food is good but the service is nothing like the rest of the hotel; very young, inexperienced staff. Also full of toddlers and babies which is nuts for a formal, coursed restaurant. Not at all relaxing and was an unfortunate way to end our trip. especially at $120/pp menu. The whole crew at Spices Restaurant is amazing though- best hotel/restaurant staff we’ve ever experienced!

Impeccable experience. Everything was amazing from top to bottom. Great service at the lounge, valet, and spices restaurant. We loved everything we ate. The views are just insanely beautiful. Rooms were large updated and clean. The spas and gym are amazing. Definitely stay here. It's a relaxing treat.

Luxury at its finest. Our room had a spectacular view of Lake Lucerne. The spa facilities were peaceful and relaxing with a great view from the infinity pool. This was by far our favorite hotel while visiting Switzerland.

We charged car in the hotels garage while we’re in the spa. Unfortunately we’ve got a problem with the car and couldn’t drive from the garage. Hotel staff was super nice and helpful and tried their best to make us comfortable during our time spent stuck there. A special thanks to Alex at the reception who was very accommodating.

I will never forget this experience. Clean, friendly and comfortable. We were made to feel so special on our honeymoon! And the view speaks for itself!!! I will be coming back when I can!

Such a disappointment!! The staff and service is below 1 star hotel. The reception and the concierge is useless they will never help you with anything when you ask them for the info they face would change and does not want to answer or talk to the guest. The room was okay but not as expected from 5 stars hotel. When we arrived in the room the was leaking on the floor from the coffee machine and we have to ask them to come and clean up since they have not check the room before guest have arrive. After we arrived it’s start to rain the terrace is actually flood and the water nearly reach the room once again we have to call the reception and ask them to do something about it. The breakfast staff took ages to bring food and coffee. The dinner at Verbena is a nightmare the staff is actually shouting at you when you order. Would not recommend this hotel if you don’t want to pay overpriced hotel for a 1 star service.

Super lovely experience. Even the travel to the hotel and restaurant is already a fantastic jorney: you first brought in super stable two floors high catamaran from Luzern and after that brought to the mountain with a historic funicolar. The restraunt's design is very relaxing and stylish. You emerge in atmosphere of pleasure and relax. The menu is cared with a great attention and expertise and the service is really excellent. The panaram and arounds are simply fantastic. Breath keeping views on the nature masterpieces around this magical place. Amazing day to remember.

First of all, I really want to thank you very much for your kind hospitality and for the complimentary arrangements you did for me and my wife's 21st wedding anniversary. You basically pampered us and made it truly memorable. But I felt it was my duty to take the time to congratulate your Human Resources Department on recruiting truly professional personnels all over your property! The helpfulness and friendliness of Haithem Maalaoui at Reception and check-in. The flexibility of ever-smiling Our waiter Mr. Ariel at The Spices Restaurant in tailor-making the menu to suit our taste and demands. Our ever-friendly waiter Mr. Jose at the lobby Coffee and Bar. Mr. Tomas Opocensky, the Operation Manager, who managed to provide a table with stunning view for us on a very short notice. And the ever-ready to go out of his way to assist Mr. Maik Ringwelski at Concierge. They basically demonstrated exemplary dedication to work that any property management should brag about. They basically had passion to their jobs and seemed to care not only about guests' comfort and satisfaction, but they also took seriously your property reputation and image. And I must mention that they showed unprecedented teamwork spirit, friendliness, and dedication to their duties. Kindly extend my sincere appreciation for the way your marvelous personnel treated us. Their various nice gestures have left very positive impressions on me and on my family members about your property. Thank you. Best regards, Yousef Alsuhaimi

Great viewing, esp in a clear night. Take boat from Lucerne, with train up and enjoy. Traditional hotel resort site with history turned into a modern resort with remarkable architecture. Worth a visit of the hallway with the photo about the history and development over the last 100+ years.

Nice design brand new room, spa with temperature pool outside has amazing view though depending on how clear the sky would be. Breakfast is good. Expensive.

We went to the spa for the day. Impecable, amazing spa! Staff was incredible, especially Marlon! He is such a nice, friendly, respectful guy. The views are stunning. We had an amazing time! 100% recommend.

Unfriendly to ecologic buses. You will bring them 140 guests with 4 buses and you are not allowed to park the bus by the hotel even they have marked parking for buses next to the hotel. They send you 3km away to Obbürgen and do what you want… One shift tells you U’re Ok to park there, another shift on the Front desk tells U’re not!!! They are wasting our time and we, drivers, have to be well relaxed.. to be 100% safe!!!

A beautiful place with a stunning view, yummie food and drinks served by an open minded team and - really important for me - a great cigar lounge with a well sorted variety of cigars in the walk-in humidor !

We where guests of the Restaurant. I parked my car outside and used a Parkscheibe as it was unclear to me that you have to pay extra. They gave me a 50 CHF fine and refused to wave it even I was a guest there. Overall very arrogant staff. They will never see me or people from my company again!!

It’s a truly awesome experience which feels generally under appreciated. In particular, every Swiss resident who can should do one less ski weekend a year and instead enjoy the Alpine Spa for a day!

  • 5/5 Yumna K. 1 year ago on Google
Beautiful experience. The room, the view, the food, the funicular ride to the resort, all extremely memorable. Will visit again.
