The Hummingbird Festival at the Station was fantastic! The bird bander, Cyndi Routledge, was amazing to watch & so patient to answer everyone's questions. A definite must experience for anyone that loves hummingbirds. The Station has lots of great animals to see & learn about.

I remember coming here as a child and it's crazy to be bringing my kids here now! We love it, the animals are in clean enclosures, they look well fed, and it's awesome to see what's in our neck of the woods! Would recommend! It was only $19 for 2 adults, 8 year old & almost 2 year old.

The staff are all very friendly! This a neat experience where you can get a close-up look at some native animals. The owls and raptors are worth the visit alone!

I came here on 9-22-23 with my husband and 6 year old son. It was neat to see the different animals and owls up close that you do not get to see on a regular basis, I do love the fact that these are rescue animals. The play area was ok and restrooms were clean. They have a small souvenir shop. I Did not use the picnic area and I did not have a dog. But it is not very handicapped accessible. It is not a paved walkway. It is dirt and wood chips. When walking down around like by the wolf, coyote, and the wild turkeys it stunk like poo and the place was mosquito infested I was miserable walking it. I mean I know its outdoors and in the woods but come on they have stuff to keep the mosquitos away. It was boring cause normally my son would like things like this but even he was bored. We only got to see approx 6-7 animals out of about 25 animals. The reason for 3 stars is the smell, mosquitos and not being handicapped accessible. To me it is not worth the $7 per adults and $5 for children that they charge.

Absolutely recommend. The Nature Station is very informative. The Honker trailhead starts from this parking lot. I would rate this as easy/moderate 4.5 mile loop. Easy enough for dogs in decent weather & the dam is essentially the halfway point. Peaceful and not insanely crowded. Moderate hill towards the end, but very easy. To tour the station there is a small fee, but reasonable. Also, junior ranger badge for those collecting!

I've visited this place ever since I was a toddler, and now I'm 54. I love what they do to help rehabilitate the animals and educate the public.

Great place to see a few special animals either in recovery or handicapped. Frequent visitations from many species of birds including humming birds. Definitely worth the visit. We saw rare Red wolves, eagles, coyotes, turkeys, deer, turtles, snakes and a wide variety of birds including 🦉, 🦅 hawks, hummingbirds and other species. Military passes are free most M-F except special events (check their calendar).

This place is amazing and great for kids and adults! You get to see several types of birds and animals which call LBL home. Most have an injury which keeps them from returning to the wild. We had a wonderful time and stayed for the Bald Eagle learning session. Highly recommend you visit if in LBL!
