I had reserved a king size suite. It comes with a small table and jacuzzi tub. Then the usual amenities... it has fridge, coffee maker, and microwave. This place also has a indoor pool not sure if it is heated in the winter. However, the room was great and the have a complimentary breakfast if you would like one... I just order DoorDash... lots of options... Sheets were clean only three small pillows but it was only me so it was fine...jacuzzi was great.. Pool was for the most part good. This place does have a little structural issues one of the stairs was closed during my visit. But other than that the staff was friendly and it was a good affordable place to stay. I would book this again.

I'm a weekly patron of this hotel, the staff is very friendly, the rooms are impeccable clean they offer breakfast and have a pool... Far far far better establishment than the one down the street named colony motel .. the colony motel is dirty and the staff is racist all blacks can be boarded in one nasty corner of the motel... I'm forever a patron to the Rodeway Inn

Would have given them four stars considering its nicer than we expected for the price. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The reasons I'm giving two stars instead of four (listed from least to worst) are as follows: 1. They are very stingy with the towels. My husband had to go to the office twice to ask for more towels so we had enough for the pool and the three of us. 2. Its minor, but the toaster for breakfast had to be held down while you cooked your toast/bagel etc. Not a big deal, except the guy working there made it sound like it just started happening that day. It was this way all four mornings we were there. 3. This was the one that made us actually grumpy and if it wasnt for this, I'd probably have given at least three stars. We stayed here for the pool. On day two, the pool was "closed indefinitely"...fine. Things happen. Except shortly after we were told it was closed, we saw one of the off-duty staff members playing in the pool with her kids. They were there for several hours. Pretty hard to explain to my six year old that the pool (the thing he was most excited about on our vacation) was closed while he could clearly see other kids in there playing.

Pools great, inside needs more tlc around the pool but pool itself was Clean & great.. Don't bring rowdy kids here... Its not a place for them. It was nice to relax without rowdy kids too ;) .. Clean though. House keeping does good job ..you can tell they did/doing remodel some. Bathrooms small..bed is the only reason i didn't give it 5 stars. The bed was extremely hard & for king bed two people we only got 3 small pillows. I booked with booking.com asked for extra towels but was none... The staff here is great though. I prob could of asked but just wanted to chill in room. They serve breakfast inn morning. Price was still lil much but its a tourist spot. I didn't know until i got here.

We spent nearly a week there. At this reasonable price, we didn't expect luxury. The personnel is very kind and nice people. Overall, we liked the hotel but the major problem is the cleaness of the room. Especially the carpet. We asked to change the room because of this and we got a better one but still the carpet was little dirty. Many people seem to say the same thing, I don't know why they don't address the problem. The breakfast is also correct. Once again the personnel is really kind. I don't think i'll come back to this hotel again. To visit Chicago, you can use the train but I personally preferred to take a 7 day-pass with the local transportation company (CTA) and leave my car in their metro parking (blue or pink line 15 min by car). The pass is 20$ and you can use it nearly every where in Chicago for a while week.

Front disk stuff was so rude for no reason when I came to check in . No smile and felt like someone forced her to work for free or something. I would never come here again or recommend it to no one. And absolutely does not worth $100 a night.

You get what you pay for. It’s an outdated hotel that needs some remodeling, but the staff was nice and the room was clean. There wasn’t any water pressure in my bathroom sink, but the shower was fine. Also, walls are thin and you hear pretty much everything that’s happening outside your room. I traveled by myself and stayed here for work, the surrounding area seemed a bit rough (I didn’t get to explore much) but I still felt safe. I don’t think I will come back but I don’t regret having stayed.

Great little hotel with amazingly friendly staff. Breakfast was great, rates are more than fair, and unlike most other hotels (even 4/5 star) that have used covid as an excuse to not provide room service, this place provided amazing service every single day. 11 out of 10, will DEFINITELY stay here again!

Great for the price. The guy who helped us at the desk was extremely friendly and personable. The indoor pool fell a bit short, as it didn't seem consistent temperature wise. And we noted a strange "film" layering the top of the water.

I gave it 2 because there was a horrible draft they had draft guards but the black floppy ones they need alien tape other than that its fine the rooms are clean besides having to smoke outside I was told that I have too much foot traffic i got the room i work doing my cosmetology and had clients lined up to come see me at the room and was told if I had one more person come I would be asked to leave. I haven't been back since.

25-30 minutes from Chicago when accounting for traffic. Overall clean room, a couple old stains but nothing that would’ve indicated the room wasn’t cleaned between guests. All staff members were nice. Pool is lukewarm, it’s overfilled. I was too short for a height shorter than me, caught me off guard when getting in. Aside from that, never felt unsafe, no excessive noise complaint and it served my need!

If you like warm water, a key card that works, and electrical outlets that charge your phone then pass on this place. I had to get my key card programmed probably 4 times. Cold showers the first day and cold sink water my entire trip. The curtains were broken, missing towels or towels with holes. The outlets near the bed didn’t charge my phone so I had to charge it far away not something I enjoy when in a new place. There was a giant bug in the room 2 of the nights as well. Even with the cold water I could not get another room like all I want after a flight is to shower and hop into a comfy bed, which by the way all 3 pillows had a different firmness and I hated it.

given the price I am reluctant in leaving a review, but our biggest issue was that the door doesn't locked. if it wasn't a late night after a long flight we may have relocated, the front desk told us once door is closed from inside it cannot be opened without the key-card :-( and she assure us that there was manager onsite. the overall stay was ok! the room is big and clean. To keep your guest safe and content i would suggest repairing locks because I think safety should be priority, there is too much wild, crazy things happening in our world today.

Place is outdated. We stayed here to go to the arcade nearby. You get what you pay for. Not much information was given for check out time or when pool opened or closed.. I wouldn't stay here again but the stay was pleasent. If you don't want housekeeping in your room while you're gone put your sleeping sign on your door.

This place is disgusting. Please spend a little more money and stay elsewhere. I stayed here for work and tried to save a little. Not sleeping and worrying about bugs is not worth the money you say. I did not see any bugs but there was a gap under the door that would allow them in.

you can't expect to get hotel slippers here. Regarding hygiene, you can find two soaps and one miniature shampoo in the room. two filter bags for coffee, cafemat, microwave, refrigerator, TV. the air conditioning is noisy but if you are very tired you won't hear it :)

You get what you pay for. Didn't pay much and got a clean, safe, very basic room. There's a pool and breakfast which I didn't take advantage of. One of my kids and my grandkids live a couple mins away. I'll definitely stay there again.

Quite little inn, great for a relaxing vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the city, but a little too far from the main Chicago attractions. You get a microwave and a mini fridge with an adorable mini dinning table and ac/heated rooms. The breakfast waffles were really good. We enjoyed our stay.

It is quite good. A pretty good value. The half bath is the size of a small closet. You might want more breakfast than continental. Do it yourself cold and hot cereal, bagel English muffins, orange juice.

The rooms were clean and the location was great. We only had to walk across the street and down about 1/4 of a block for some of the best Mexican food we've ever had! The one Complaint I have is the bathroom. There was no tub and the shower was flush with the floor instead of having a slightly angled floor. So we stayed 2 nights and our floor was finally fully dry a couple hours before we checked out. It's not enough to keep us away though. The rates were VERY good!

Have stayed here several times over the years. Rooms are clean, staff is friendly. Pool area is clean also. Maybe the only hotel I have ever stayed at that didn't have a phone in the room, so that's a little weird. If you have a question you have to use your cell or walk to the front. Parking lot is small and congested but for the price, it's a good place to sleep and shower for the night. I wouldn't spend more then a night or two here but that's all I needed it for so it was perfect. And I was able to check in early after a long drive which was also nice. And I wasn't surprised by some absurd deposit either. It was the same price I saw on the choice website that I paid when I arrived. Which I was thankful for. Many hotels will surprise you with a deposit once you actually check in. I will stay here again and appreciate the affordable, clean and safe rooms they offer!

Heating/cooler system was noisy if you don't put it on 'continues' hence 3 star. Need updating. Everything else is good. Rooms, pool, bfast, staff location... Oh, please add more pillows...

Rooms were older but it was very clean. Bathroom was way too small. Water got all over when I showered and the floor was slippery. Overall, it was a good place to stay

Okay yes it is, technically, a 3-star rated hotel. But, it's cozy. The shower, toilet, sink, lights, and TV all work. The bed is comfy and cozy. I didn't have any issues with other guests and such. So yeah, I'd stay here again

Too bad you can't get -* Rodeway has turned into lousy DUMP! First room was infested with gnats. I asked for refund, clerk said she could only move me to 2nd floor room. I'm disabled but moved upstairs. That room had 1.5 inch gap between door bottom and floor, so with heat on highest level room never warmed up. I finally put all the towels on floor to try and block cold air. Had to use my suitcase to keep towels against door. Please stay in your car before going there 😠

!!!STAY HERE IF YOU LIKE BUGS IN YOUR ROOM!!! Check in was okay, nothing out of the ordinary, not amazing customer service, but I did check in pretty late, and upon entry to my room, there was a dead fly on our pillow! I decided to wash that off with a shower, and when I turned the water on, tiny black worms started to crawl out of the cracks in the shower walls and floors!!! SO NASTY!!! Then I looked up, and there were a ton of tiny flies! There are even some in the main room, now that I am looking for them!
