Amazing place Maria Lisboa, authentic Portuguese in the heart of Malaga! The chef come to greet us and her suggestions were perfect for my boys. They clean the plates up 🤩 Definitely recommend this place for a family with children. We will be back as my boys asked for carrot soup and the chef said “yes no problem”!!! Loved the attention we received.

A little quiet gem in the center of the city, staff is very friendly and you get a taste of Portugal away from it. The pasteis were very good, a bit too sweet for my taste but happy we can remember Portugal with this in Málaga.

I don’t like to write reviews but I was really dissapointed. Went there mostly bcs of the good reviews and for Pastel de Natal. Very overpriced for what you get. 15€ for a cheese plate, on which were more apples than cheese. Also only two sort of cheeses. Payed 18€ for a toas. There was absolutely nothing special on it to cost this much. Besides that, there was a hair on it. Pastel de Natal didn’t taste that good either. The Lady (i think she’s the boss) was very nice tho.

We love this place. We visited a couple of times last year, and again yesterday on a brief stay in Málaga. The staff are friendly, the food is very good - a welcome change from the routine tapas and raciones, and the location is great. It’s a little haven of peace and sanity a stone’s throw from the tourist throng of central Málaga. If we had been staying longer we would have been back to sit drinking their excellent wine in the evening. Next time…

Lovely little spot down a side street from the busiest area, great food and great service! We ordered the special, Maria's cod, which was tasty and hearty, as well as some other smaller plates. Everything was good! The custard tarts made for a delicious dessert.

Maria is an absolute sweetheart! She makes you feel like your family the moment you enter. She makes the best sangria you will try in all of Andalucia. My wife and I spent 7 days traveling all the small towns tasting sangria and Maria's by far is the best! And her natas are the best for a sweet treat after dinner. Highly recommend.

Theres one table outside. Inside more tables. It is a more calm side street. Beautiful resteraunt. The service is very good. Loved the food and the quality. Was looking for something vegetarian. Great quality of the food. Lived the pastel de nata. Would recommend coming here again.

What a lovely little place! Hidden in the alley that runs behind the touristy new part of the city and Calle Larios area, this quiet little gem offers a small but delicious food menu and a great selection of wines from various regions of Portugal. The owner is so lovely and very happy to speak to you about her home country and city of Lisbon, explain the menu and wines and even offer you a selection of pretty plates to buy as we witnessed when two young German ladies came into the cafe. We ate on two occasions - lunch one very hot Sunday afternoon and we chose the Maria special sandwich which is sausage and various meats, covered with a special spicy sauce and topped with an egg. The second occasion was a quiet Tuesday evening when we tried the scrambled eggs, potatoes and cod with salad and something similar to a pork schnitzel with a lovely creamy sauce. We also tried some lovely wines. On both occasions we had the Pastel de nata which are absolutely the best we have ever tasted and fresh daily. We will certainly be back next time we're in Malaga 🙂

Very nice brunch with decent Portuguese food! We only took the picture of the egg tarts and indeed every option is fantastic. The service is also wonderful, with a lovely family atmosphere 😊

Really nice food. Really small shop with limited sitting in a casual setting. Family atmosphere! The sangria was probably the best we had in around our 10 days of touring in Madrid, Mallorca , Marbella and Malaga . It has real fruits inside with a generous size glass. Food is very good , very fresh ingredient for the salad ! And the Cod (Bacalao A Bras) was extremely tasteful with good mix of onion, potato and cod! Better make a reservation first or go early. Small shop.

Beautiful little Portuguese restaurant I just happened upon in a quiet laneway. Definitely has a following. Service was warm and friendly and tapas were delicious.

Tasty food, great service! Loved everything! Bacalhau a Bras on bread was so delicious! My mom mistakenly left her phone behind and the staff kept it safe for us. The restaurant is situated down a cute side street. Pro-tip: reserve ahead of time in winter if you want to sit indoors. A must-visit when in Malaga. Thank you!

😠 Hi. We didn't have a pleasant experience at all. 1st we checked for available tables there were none and looked for a waiter and no one came.. Okay.. Moving on we got in line to get food for takaway and if a spot opened up to sit down. That on one hand the line was where the door was going straight...
