Horrendous behavior, from the waiter/owner, absolutely disrespectful, very arrogant and hypocritical. Food quality is below average, what you read on the menu has nothing to do with what you are served. Serving size is astonishing, for instance you can order half an olive for 6 euros. Wines were not up to standard in terms of quality taste for the price that you pay. The owner does not except constructive criticism, instead he says you do not have taste for wine and food.

This is a quaint little wine bar, and our host , Julio was extremely knowledgeable about the wines, in addition to being very warm and welcoming and friendly. We learned so much about the different regions in the making of wine and we ended up taking a bottle home with us. I highly recommend stopping in this place for a tasting or two.. We did not order any food here, but the food that we saw certainly looked delicious 😀

Pros: Sommelier Julio Barluenga is a gem. He has delivered the best customer service experience in the restaurant ever. The curated selection of natural wines is exquisite. If you are into wines and would like to taste natural wines produced by non-mainstream makers, it is definitely the place to go. Excellent selection of wines of various styles, a very knowledgeable owner happy to advise and tell you more if you want to learn, nice food and the atmosphere. You can also buy wines to take back home. Many thanks for a great evening in Malaga and lots of new wines on my list.

Amazing steak tartare and good wine, albeit not cheap. The other food looks fab too. Unfortunately they charge 4.50 for water and bread (which wasn't particularly good - the crust was so hard). An extra 9 euro charge on the bill (for 2) isn't too bad if you're having a 3 course meal, but when all you want are a couple of glasses of wine and a little to eat to accompany it, the bill being bumped up by 9 euros is too much. Because of that, I'm not sure whether we'll return.

1st time visit to this new Wine bar. Great selection of wine. The guy knows his wines and is recommending what you might like. Great experience. The food is delicious as well. It seems that most of the dishes are prepared freshly. The place itself is cozy and the only not so nice thing is that we were sitting at the table right below the aircon and that constant breeze of cold air is not that pleasant. Try to sit at any of the other tables 😊

Marvelous natural wine bar with a really skilled and humble sommelier 🍇🍷. Elegant tapas and food selection that let's the wine shine 🥩🧀. Nice variety of wine styles and production locations from Europe. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere with a minimalistic and clean design. Absolutely essential for wine lovers to dine at this gem when visiting Malaga! 😎

We visited Vertical in December 22 and were charmed with food, service and wine!!! There was one person in the kitched, a lady, and owner providing service in the front. We had appetizers, mains and deserts all with wine pairing advised by the Chef who has 3 Michelin starr experience which is visible! Intrully recommend anyone to visit in this cosy, upscale wine bar in the center of Malaga!!!

We stopped for a glass of wine. The owner has an amazing knowledge of the wine he serves, where they come from and how they are harvested. We got a fabulous taster of beef tartare that was so tasty. We’re going back for more. Beautiful wine bar with really comfortable seating.
