Can't beat the location of this hotel and our water view room with balcony indeed had a wonderful view. Unfortunately, the good news pretty much ends there. Most importantly, the room had virtually no place to put anything. There were three hangers (four if you count one for the bathrobe they provide) and three tiny shelves in the same small closet. We ended up living out of our luggage. Showing how clueless the hotel's management is, they provided a huge boxed cake that was as large as the small table in our room. Between lack of space in the room and how unappealing it looked, we returned it. Daytime highs were in the 70's while we were there, so our south facing room got very warm during the day and, unless the windows were left open, it was stuffy at night. I kept turning the thermostat down, imagining it would eventually cool down, but apparently they can only run the heat OR air conditioning at one time. They chose heat. It would have been nice if they told us that, but they only mentioned that when we told them how hot our room was on our way out. Even if we knew, resolving that problem would have required us to leave the sliding door open so the room would have been very noisy from the busy intersection downstairs all night. Few Marriotts have a great deal of charm, but we can usually expect a reasonably functional room. Not this time.

The restaurant is very cheap for the quality. I'm not satisfied. We waited 1 hour for 2 salads and 2 dishes. I was served a salad entirely with green tomatoes, and the main course was not tasty enough. 2-3 waiters served us and there was a discrepancy in the orders. We placed an order and after 10-15 minutes another waiter arrived who mentioned that no order had been placed ... and again waiting. I asked them not to have onions in the salad, but they served us the salad with onions and we waited again for a new one. I ended up leaving hungry. The view is wonderful, the wine was also good, but they do not meet the requirements in the kitchen. There are other panoramic restaurants in the area.

We’ve stayed three times at the AC Palacio Málaga, twice for extended lengths of time. From Amine at the front door greeting us with a smile, to all the helpful front counter workers, and the service staff in the terrace restaurant and bar we’ve had nothing but friendly, warm interactions. Because we’re also working while we travel, we needed help a couple times and the staff went out of their way to accommodate us. We look forward to staying here again!

Stunning views from the rooftop bar across the city. Very friendly staff and decent prices for cocktails and some danach food. We loved it up there.

Great Location. Awesome rooftop bar. Terrible elevators… waiting 10m is standard. Also the worst irons of any hotel I’ve stayed in for a while. Usually here for business and they are awful with no steam function.

Nice room with a view. The WiFi in my room was not usable, but the hotel handled it really well and gave me access to a conference room which had excellent Wifi. Breakfast was okay. The location at the harbor and the edge of the old town is excellent. The hotel doesn't follow the Marriott policies for elite members.

The hotel's rooftop bar is open for other visitors as well, not only for hotel guests which is great as you can go up and admire a wonderful view over the city, especially during sunset hour. :) What is a downfall is that the place can be crowded so you won't necessarily be able to find a table and a place to sit, or even stand, and it's the matter of luck as you cannot make a reservation if you're going up only for a drink. But, you can always just wonder around until some place becomes free (and it probably will after 10-15mins), and admire the view. The good thing is that when you pay the entrance fee, one drink is included and the place has some really nice cocktails. :)

Front desk people were very accommodating and friendly! Our room is big, nice and clean, only problem is they don’t have enough power outlets to charge your gadget, other than that our room was perfect. Breakfast was also great, food were all good and fresh, you can order omelette if you like. Service was excellent, Gilman and all the service staffs were very friendly and accommodating. And the security/door people were also very nice and smiling all the time. Thank you AC Malaga Palacio

Four-night stay overall was average. I would stay here again because the location is perfect for walkability around the city center and the promenade across the street. However, I will insist on a quiet room away from the elevators. Customer service at check in/out was decent. However, the security guard at the door asking me every time if I was a guest was annoying, especially since it was the same person who open the door for me each time. I get that it's his job, but c'mon. I was even blocked from entering once because the guy didn't believe I was a guest, even though he was the one who open the door and helped me with my luggage when I checked in. Upgraded to a Standard Sea View King, which was nice. However, the noise from street activities and the port across the street is a reason never to book this room type again. Room was unseasonably warm and A/C didn't help cool it down. Had to leave the balcony door open to let in air to cool the room. Wi-Fi in room was very spotty. Work well in the bathroom, but not well at the table in the room. Room lightning was adequate. Bathroom was nice. Enjoyed having a nice hot bath after walking the city. Suitable amount of amenities like soap and bath tissue. Bed was comfy, but noise from outside and being next to elevator affected my sleep. Elevator are extremely slow. Waited eight minutes for one to arrive. I would've taken the stairs as they were much faster had I not had luggage. Breakfast was edible. Nothing special and not worth getting unless included in room rate. Rooftop bar restaurant had nice views, but menu left something to be desired. Expensive for what I ordered, and the food wasn't very good.

What a great place to get away from the hustle of the city centre but still be in the heart of it. And WOW the views. We had a fantastic bottle of wine with appetizers served by wonderful staff. Miriam was simply the best, so attentive and knowledgeable about the area. Much appreciated!!

Amazing service. Doorman, reception and cleaners were extremely pleasant. Lucky to get a status room upgrade and the views across the ocean were incredible - I’d argue the hotel offers the best view in the city. Room was lovely and very clean and came with welcome gifts which were appreciated. Housekeeping were very attentive and flexible. Quick access to nearby parking at a discount. (€23 a day). Gym was good enough for a quick workout. Pool area is nice but does close fairly early to allow for the many external visitors of the bar. The pool could also do with some refurbishment.

Modern and comfortable hotel in a great location right by the cathedral and close to the sea front. We were lucky enough to have a room with a sea view and loved the sounds of the city, with the parakeets in the palm trees, though light sleepers might prefer a quieter room. Really loved the Korres toiletries and the stunning bathroom. Staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

(rooftop only) This is by far the best rooftop bar I’ve ever experienced. The entrance fee was reasonable (8,5 euro) which includes a drink. The views are amazing, personnel was friendly and there’s quite a few seats up there too which makes it ideal for a drink during the evening. And with the pool in the middle, that just nails it.

Love this hotel, very central to everything including shopping, restaurants, bars and the Picasso museum. Hotel is very clean with a couple of great bars. The service we received at the ground floor bar was excellent, staff very attentive and always happy to help. Breakfast was okay for the price but if you don’t fancy the breakfast, there are lots of little independent restaurants around the corner to choose from each morning. Can be a little noisy at the weekends with passer-by’s but this is out of the hotels control. I would personally get a room facing the port as the street next to the hotel is quite loud at weekends. No issues during the week. All in all, this is a fantastic hotel with plenty of choice and staff are always very accommodating. Housekeeping were also excellent, coming back to a lovely cleaned room after a long day was great.

I had made a reservation for the rooftop restaurant. Upon arrival, I was informed that they were fully booked. I mentioned that I had made a reservation, and after about five minutes of checking, they allowed me and my husband to go upstairs. Once we reached the rooftop, I noticed that there was plenty of space. It was a bit odd, but I understand that they want to reserve space for hotel guests. However, there was definitely enough room, and I had made a reservation. The view was stunning, and I highly recommend going there for a drink and enjoying the scenery. As for the food, I wasn't particularly impressed. My husband's entrecote wasn't tender, and it was slightly overcooked. I had the octopus dish, which was decently good. The service was prompt and friendly.

Unbeatable location. A stunning rooftop bar and pool area. Rooms are clean and just what you would expect from the AC hotel brand. Note, parking is not offered at the hotel. The area is great for seeing the old city, the castle and the port area with its many restaurants. Overall, a great stay and highly recommend.

Great location near port and loads of bars and restaurants. Short walk to Plaza de la Constitución . friendly staff. Room had a king size bed and faced the Cathedral on the twelfth floor and was quiet. The lobby was decorated in a super festive way.! The view from the rooftop bar is excellent.

Excellent location, great staff, lovely room. Arrived late to find the holiday company had not specified a double room so they had us down for a twin. When I was not happy with this they upgraded free of charge to a king with a view of the park. So they did good there. Lots of choice at breakfast. All the staff are very friendly and efficient. Rooftop terrace is amazing with the best views and a decent size pool and nice bar with music. People queue and pay to go to the terrace at night but of course for guests it's free of charge and accessible straight away. Great city and hotel. Hope to come back.

Although the rooms were nice, clean and the hotel was in a prime location, the lobby was way too hot and the rooftop bar was so popular that as a guest it was hard to get in. Parking although close by is between 27 euros or 22 (with the limited hotel vouchers). Overall still a very nice hotel.

The view from the rooftop alone deserves five stars. The staff at the reception, in the lobby and all others are very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, although there are signs of use here and there. But this has no influence on the rating. Everything as it should be. Thank you.

Very good location in the city near to the port and many food options. Spectacular views over the city and the port. Rooms are clean and nice although not new. Rooftop terrace with pool is amazing (but also open to outside guests). Sleeping comfort is good.

The rooms were beautiful and we had an amazing view of the Cathedral, which was perfect for finding the hotel after a late night. The roof top bar is amazing with incredible views. We did not use the pool but it was beautiful. The perfect place to stay in Malaga.

Everything works well, room was spacious and perfectly temperatured. Beds are good, I’m always afraid to have too hard one. Cleaners were so nice, they really made an effort in cleaning the room. We even got a welcoming cake to the room. Terrace pool is very nice and it has the best view in the whole area.

This was my first time staying at a Marriott, and also to visit Spain. Super impressed, treated with excellent service and respect (I am a female and appear young) and felt so comfortable here. I highly recommend - it is the best place in Malaga. The rooftop restaurant had amazing food, while enjoying the beautiful views of the entire area. The pool was relaxing also. I will definitely stay at these line of elite hotels for my future travels. Thank you so much for welcoming me here and a beautiful place.

It deserves 5/5 for many reasons, most importantly the service. The Team is willing to help you before, during and after your stay just to make sure you have the best experience. Rooms are perfect, at least the ones we stayed at. Location is amazing. We have no doubt in using it next time we plan a visit to Malaga! Great Team; Eva, Carmen, Paula, etc..

Wonderful location with beautiful views of the surrounding landscapes. The staff was super friendly and welcoming. One of the best hotel experiences I've had. Restaurant on the top floor is also highly recommended, good food and drinks.

Centrally located and a perfect spot to watch the Semana Santa 2022 from our huge balcony suite. We were upgraded to a suite room because of my Ambassador status and the free welcome gifts were very much appreciated🥰. The room and hotel facilities are clean. Staff are very professional and friendly. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this hotel!⭐️ -Anna

Haven't stayed here but went to the rooftop to watch the sun set. Stunning views of the city. They charge you 8.50 to go up but you get a free drink with that. Table service is good and they give out free nuts with your drink

One of the most beautiful hotels I have visited. The cleanliness of the rooms and toilets is impeccable. The room service was quick and delicious. The staff was top notch! Friendly and caring. Without forgetting the location of the hotel: the Cathedral of the Incarnation is 2 minutes away on foot, and the old town 5 minutes away. If I return to Malaga, I will definitely stay there another time. Everything was perfect!

Rooms overlooking the water have a beautiful view. Rooms were nice and clean. Great smelling shampoo!!! Front of the house staff was all very nice and accommodating. Great location for beach and city! Seemed to a slight issue with plumbing in the building during our stay (sewage smell) but would definitely stay here again if we return.
