Today I finally made it to the Food Yard during opening hours (unfortunately only open at lunchtime) and what can I say, I'm extremely satisfied, excited and full! Finally a restaurant in Aachen that is healthy, tasty, fresh and beautiful to look at! Simply wonderful, after the first forkful of my green bulgur with sweet potato mash, every one of my cells screamed hurray because the composition of the whole dish tasted so well and you not only saw the fresh and high-quality ingredients, but also tasted them. The small, fine menu, which changes every week, offers seasonal dishes and you can hardly decide what you would rather like. As a vegetarian, I was in better hands here than I have rarely been in Aachen. The only thing that's a bit of a shame is that the Food Yard isn't open in the evenings, I would definitely be a regular customer and I hope I can make it there more often at lunchtime now! Absolutely recommended for health-conscious pleasure lovers! Ps: The service is also very nice and the restaurant is modern and minimalist, could also be in Hamburg-Eppendorf :)

Coming to food yard for lunch is like getting a home cooked meal from your friend who happens to be an amazing chef. I say home cooked because it can be hard to find good restaurant food in the area that is healthy, made from quality ingredients, and still feels like a treat. I came here for lunch twice during a week long trip in the area and the food really warms the heart. The first time I tried the udon noodles - you could taste how complex the broth was and how much care the chef put into the preparation. The second time I had an excellent beef stew - super hearty and delicious.
