Lovely place, where a nun introduced us to an 80 year old Coy Carp in the pond in the beautiful garden. Stunning setting, in the valley. The cafe near by serves amazing cakes too!

Nice walk from train station Münstertal. There is an easy, wheelchair accessible walk as well as a more exciting one on the other side of the valley with caves and narrow paths. The church is beautiful and the campus picturesque. Definitely worth a visit when in this area. Recommended.

Lovely church. Easy to get to. The statue wept a tear every few minutes.

Walking up to Kohlerhof, and then towards Münstertal, after a good piece of wandering, seeing the mountains and beautiful valleys, you suddenly you see the Abbey, far away. An incredible sight, and one senses what those, hundreds of years ago, that had been on a pilgrimage to the Abbey must have sensed, seeing this spectacular view.

According to tradition, St. Trudpert's Abbey originated with Saint Trudpert, an Irish missionary and martyr in the southern Black Forest in the first half of the 7th century. He established a hermitage in Münstertal which became a monastery in the 9th century, and which by, at the latest, 900 had expanded to a monastic community supported by the influential noble family of the Liutfride. It is recorded that relics of Trudpert were translated to the abbey in 901 and shortly after 965.

We loved this place!!! Soo beautiful in springtime. There is a lot of hiking paths in the area. Flowers, streams and breathtaking views from the hills if you walk up on one. Will come back! Hope they set up a parking space to sleep for motorhomes soon!

Fantastic convent with a fantastic group of energetic mums who toil day and night fighting for good against evil. Admissions are free.

Main church open to visitors, not the abbey itself. Wonderful walks in the surrounding hills

Kloster St. Trudpert is a gem amidst the Black Forest's beauty. The well-kept cemetery, serene courtyard, stunning altar, impressive pipe organ, and intricately adorned ceiling all make it a must-visit for those seeking both spiritual and visual inspiration in a picturesque setting.
