This
is
the
international
airport
of
this
(big,
little)
city.
It
is
possible
to
get
here
via
public
train
or
bus.
Generally,
I
take
the
public
train
which
takes
me
to
the
Puhinui
train
station
and
then
I
jump
on
the
Airport
Link
which
takes
passengers
to
the
domestic
or
international
terminal.
There
is
an
airport
upgrade
happening
at
the
moment
so
lots
of
roadworks
and
be
prepared
for
detours.
The
international
terminal
is
24/7
which
is
great
but
this
doesn't
mean
that
all
the
stores,
eateries,
exchange
kiosks,
etc.
are
also
24/7.
Pretty
good
airport
but
would
be
ideal
if
the
domestic
and
international
terminals
were
connected
either
underground
or
by
monorail
so
that
travellers
don't
have
to
deal
with
traffic.
There
needs
to
be
more
amenities
for
travellers
with
really
long
layovers
e.g.
pool,
gym,
spa,
sleep
zones.
Departure
area
is
pretty
good
with
a
couple
of
duty
free
retailers
and
a
range
of
other
retailers.
Air
conditioning
could
be
amped
up
all
round
(especially
during
summer).
I
like
that
there
are
lifts
and
a
few
scales
to
weigh
luggage
before
checking
in.
