THEY
HAVE
NEW
OWNERSHIP
I
have
been
going
to
Granny’s
soul
food
for
7
years.
When
I
was
pregnant
I
went
every
other
day!
As
a
person
who
cooks
extremely
well,
this
was
my
“go-to”
spot
when
I
didn’t
want
to
cook.
I
knew
that
I
would
get
quality
food
and
the
candied
yams
were
my
favorite.
I
knew
all
of
the
owners,
staff
AND
all
of
the
cooks.
They
were
all
so
friendly
and
personable
and
you
could
feel
the
love
in
the
air.
Even
during
COVID,
they
would
bring
my
food
out
to
my
car
so
I
wouldn’t
have
to
go
in
with
my
toddler
.
The
last
couple
of
times
I
went,
I
noticed
a
difference.
The
first
time,
I
chalked
it
up
as
a
one
off
because
I
had
seen
new
faces
and
thought
maybe
they
were
on
vacation.
Today
I
went
and
it
was
a
totally
different
vibe.
It
was
a
cold
and
unwelcoming
spirit
when
you
walk
in.
I
waited
3
minutes
at
the
counter
(when
there
was
nobody
in
there)
because
the
staff
member
was
sitting
down
having
a
conversation
on
his
phone).
They
“forgot”
to
give
me
a
fork
with
my
meal.
I
stopped
by
gas
station
to
get
one.
The
food
was
so
bland.
Greens
tasted
like
they
were
simply
blanched
in
water
with
no
seasoning;
yams
Tasted
like
they
were
just
over-boiled
in
sugar;
the
ribs
were
too
tough
to
even
share
with
my
toddler.
It
wasn’t
even
worth
trying
to
doctor
it
up.
I
threw
the
food
away.
A
waste
of
$20
(oh
yeah
and
all
the
prices
went
way
up).
Let
me
be
clear,
this
is
NOT
GRANNY’S
SOUL
FOOD.
This
is
new
ownership
Completely
Granny
please
take
your
name
back
and
make
them
change
the
name
of
this
restaurant.
All
of
your
hard
work
legacy
is
going
down
the
drain.
I’m
saddened.
