THEY HAVE NEW OWNERSHIP I have been going to Granny’s soul food for 7 years. When I was pregnant I went every other day! As a person who cooks extremely well, this was my “go-to” spot when I didn’t want to cook. I knew that I would get quality food and the candied yams were my favorite. I knew all of the owners, staff AND all of the cooks. They were all so friendly and personable and you could feel the love in the air. Even during COVID, they would bring my food out to my car so I wouldn’t have to go in with my toddler . The last couple of times I went, I noticed a difference. The first time, I chalked it up as a one off because I had seen new faces and thought maybe they were on vacation. Today I went and it was a totally different vibe. It was a cold and unwelcoming spirit when you walk in. I waited 3 minutes at the counter (when there was nobody in there) because the staff member was sitting down having a conversation on his phone). They “forgot” to give me a fork with my meal. I stopped by gas station to get one. The food was so bland. Greens tasted like they were simply blanched in water with no seasoning; yams Tasted like they were just over-boiled in sugar; the ribs were too tough to even share with my toddler. It wasn’t even worth trying to doctor it up. I threw the food away. A waste of $20 (oh yeah and all the prices went way up). Let me be clear, this is NOT GRANNY’S SOUL FOOD. This is new ownership Completely Granny please take your name back and make them change the name of this restaurant. All of your hard work legacy is going down the drain. I’m saddened.

I had the turkey wings, which was okay no gravy and I only received one. The collard greens and broccoli and rice casserole was good. My husband had the beef tips and rice meat was tender but dry no gravy. A nice portion for the price, but had to make some gravy when we got home.

Baby listen....this food literally reminded me of my granny's cooking. EVERYTHING was delicious! From the cabbage to the chitterlings sends back down memory lane. I live an hour away and will gladly make the drive to come here again. If you're looking for a good, home cooked meal please come and try them out. You will not be disappointed! Danielle, the chef, was amazing in helping me decide what I wanted.

If you haven't eaten here before you need to! Some of the best Catfish around! If you know where better catfish is then please let me know. I've also tried the rib tips and the oxtail. Most of the sides are the absolutely amazing. I would only consider a couple of them as just "okay" (compared to everything else) I eat here every time I'm in the area. I'd probably be broke if I lived closer.

Chicken was good and so was the barbecue sauce. The macaroni and cheese and cornbread didn’t have flavor. I appreciate the service, good luck.

Don't tell anyone I said this but Granny's Soul Food will give my grandmother a run for her money! I always over do it when I got there. I got the turkey wings over rice and gravy, collard greens and candied yams. But that's not all I got fried pork chops, Mac and cheese and cabbage as well as(2) two more individual turkey wings. Just greedy!

First time going here, I’m new to the area and this spot was recommended. Customer service was perfect & the food is good, the portions are good. Will def be coming back

My first time ordering food from here. We ordered two vegetable plates with macaroni & cheese, green beans, black eyed peas, yams, cornbread dressing & lima beans. Everything was tasty & flavorful. Staff was great! The price was $24 for 2 vegetable plates, 4 veggies per plate.

I really enjoyed my food from Granny's it's truly soul food that you can enjoy. I love the fact that it is reasonably priced. Some of the food is cooked to order and I got the chicken with collards and macaroni. The chicken was very juicy and flavorful I enjoyed having it fresh. The macaroni was okay it needed a little seasoning but it still was pretty good. The greens were just as expected just like Grandma used to make. If you're looking for a reasonably priced soul food that tastes like soul food should then please stop by Granny's they have a great selection of options. If you're going to order online just know that the prices are more expensive online than they are in the store. We enjoyed the food so much we doubled back the next day and got some. If you're in the area you won't be disappointed. I was also able to try the banana pudding on the second day and it was very good definitely homemade.

The food tastes like it was cook with no love. The leg quarters wasn't properly clean. The mac and cheese taste like something out of a box. But the greens were okay. I have no problem giving credit. If it was good. But in this case they don't have to worry about me coming back.

Food was awesome and fast. When I tell you I will be back soon. I most definitely will be going back. If the buffet was good. I'm looking forward to trying the made to order menu.

Let me tell yall...I had to stop eating to write this review right now. This is the best damn soul food I ever ate in my life. The turkey wings are so tender. I have yams, rice and gravy and collard greens and when I tell you Im in heaven right now!!! This deserves 🙏🏽 for guiding me to this heavenly.place.. I also want to add my beautiful queen with the purple hair is soooo sweet. She let me sample before buying since it was my first time there so thank you. You will not be disappointed at Grannys❤🤗

My boyfriend and I went here for our first time… and honestly I feel like Granny needs to give it up. I ordered the turkey wings with rice and Mac and cheese with candy yams and honestly the candied yams was the best thing on the plate and they tasted like they were out of a can but added vanilla and sugar. The rest was untouched because the turkey wing was dry so I’m glad they only gave me one. The rice was not seasoned . My boyfriend ordered the barbecue chicken with squash and Mac and cheese. He said he never tasted barbecue chicken that wasn’t seasoned. He said the squash was bout the only decent thing on the plate.Both of us agreed that the Mac and cheese also had no seasoning and I said it was kind of mushy and could be better. No flavor or color. Will never come back again. It’s a 3 out of 10 for me.

I enjoyed my Mac and cheese, yams, and dressing. I had a veggie plate. My greens were salty. My husband had the rib plate. He said the ribs were tough and the black eyed peas were extremely salty. He did like the yam. I will visit again but please reduce the amount of salt. Thanks!

Whoever cooked those Turkey necks today babbaayyy Chef's kiss! Cleaning my plate! Seasoned to perfection served over rice and I got yams (bussin) and Mac! Everything was amazing. I clearly didn't think to take a Pic until it looked like this 🤣🤣🤣 but it was a lot of food. Great portion.

It has been years since I tried this place because the service was too slow. I came back since new owners & the lady serving was extremely slow.taking 20+ minutes take my order. I came back twice since then and was extremely impressed with super fast service times of 3 minutes & 5 minutes in & out service. 3 stars are for the food experience I bought the BBQ chicken (skin was tough meat dry) Mac cheese (blanket of cheese with nearly plain noodles underneath) Turkey wing (good 1st time, tough the next time) Fried chicken (very hard batter) green beans ( like water) dressing (like boxed stuffing) yams(like simple syrup without holiday spice)... The quality of the food is at best average 😞. Perhaps I'll try again one day.

I got a rib dinner. First off everyone was nice but the food wasn’t good to me. The ribs are to oily and did not have enough barbecue sauce. I also got greens. The greens were very bland. The cabbage had more flavor but still was to oily. The prices are not bad but due to the poor food I wouldn’t come back here.

After driving all day, nothing like a real plate of soul food. Everything was very enjoyable. Brought back memories. The oxtail, delicious! The staff, like family!

Won’t ever eat here again. The turkey wings are nasty. The collar greens was burnt. But Mac cheese was decent. And candy yams good. But they give small portions like there afraid to give you any food. An corn bread. Not good.

I got a veggie plate with collard greens, squash, Macaroni and cheese, sweet potatoes and a cornbread muffin. I thoroughly enjoyed my food and the squash was exceptional. The food was well seasoned and delicious. I will be going back. The price wasn't bad either; it was $10.99 plus tax which came out to $11.65. The customer service was great, as well.

Best soul food ever I had been trying to catch them open for months and ever time I visited atl I tried but never succeed until yesterday I got a baked chicken plate with 2 sides and a turkey plate both with sides and corn bread it was fresh and hot it was so good I forgot to take my pics but I promise to take some my next go around.oh and the owners /employees are very friendly nice men they deserve every tip they get.

This was my first time here. The food was great. I got turkey wings and rice, yams, cabbage. My husband got oxtail, rice, greens, peas. This food reminded me of food "back home" in North Carolina. My husband even got a plate of ribs for later. Jay was AWESOME. THANKS TO ALL OF YOU GUYS.

I ordered off Uber eats so I have no idea how they’re service or atmosphere is truly but the food I was served was really good and I’d definitely recommend it! That’s a huge compliment coming from me. Had the whitening yams, greens, okra, and squash. Good southern flavor fish was good size 2pc. Plate is $18+ tax and $25 on the Uber eats app sides is $5+

I discovered Granny's taking a back way to the interstate. Completely caught me off guard. I swerved in (literally) when I saw Granny's Soul Food. Any place with a grill bigger then the front door has got to be good!! I was not wrong!!! It was 3 weeks ago when I found this place. Now I have eaten here every other day since and yes I have gained weight but I ain't mad at it!! They have that sweet cornbread. Reminds me of being back home in Savannah!! Would have taken photos but the food did not last long enough. Every time I go in I think I know what I want but everything looks so good I ended up choosing something different and AM NEVER DISAPPOINTED!!! KEEP IT UP GUYS❤👍👍🍽 I recommend!!

The only thing good about this place is the customer service. But the food here is very disgusting the worst place I ever ate at..... I don't really talk bad about a restaurant but I got to let y'all know before y'all go and spend your money... I will give this place -3 this place don't deserve a 1 🌟..... I may not know much about collard greens, (these were 10/10) but I know about ribs and fried okra. Im not sure how high your horse is let me tell ya somethin' - this food is damn good. I did BBQ for a long time; you cant find ribs like that just anywhere. A little bit of sweet tea from the sweet cashier after working out of a hotel for a week and a half.. this was the home style meal by body so craved. Hunched over ravenously in the car, forgot I even had a drink. Whew. Georgia on my mind!

I came here from Mississippi for a six flags vacation and stopped here. The guys have great service and the best ribs I ever tasted! I went to other restaurants and I can easily say I enjoyed Granny's the most. I highly recommend this place to everyone that's in the six flags area. Check em out!

I drove 30 minutes to receive my food & when u get home to open & try it my baked chicken is very uncooked. I tried to call right before they closed the lines were busy. Very disappointing I’ve heard so much good things. Overall the meal was not good.

This restaurant is a hidden gem. They’re located next to a gas station, so they are hard to miss. But the food quality and service are beyond exceptional. The restaurant is very family oriented. Everyone gets treated like family, just how a soul food restaurant in the south should be. I’ll definitely be back for another visit.

This was my first time at this restaurant. I was hoping that the food was good. Turns out it was GREAT. I purchased the fried pork chop and put gravy on it, with Broccoli rice casserole, green beans and cabbage 😋 👌. I brought my sister a plate. This is my Soul Food home now. Can't wait to try the other dishes 😋.

Some of the best food I’ve tasted stopped here to get food from being on the road and I’m glad I did yams were delicious soft and flavorful Mac n cheese was nice and cheesy beef tips were cooked to perfection also has red velvet cake it was moist and a must have again I suggest you stop

Stopped by looking for some Soul Food and Google Maps led us Granny's. We were a bit suspect with the location; it's attached to a gas station convenience store. We decided to give a try anyway. The pork chop plate with Mac & Cheese and Collard Greens was very good and tasty. My wife had the turkey wing over rice with Sweet Potatoes and Mac & Cheese. She says the gravy could've been thicker. Otherwise, she was satisfied with her food. We'll tag this location for a future visit before we give it more consideration for our bucket list of Soul Food stops in the area.

I tasted this place for the first time on lunch at work with some coworkers. Therefore it was a pretty big order. I gave the atmosphere five stars because I didn’t go. We had someone go get it. On to the food. I was highly disappointed. My cheese on my macaroni wasn’t melted even after I microwaved it. The candied yams weren’t that sweet and tasted like they came out the can. The fried chicken still had red on the bone. I know sometimes these things happen, but I would rather they not happen on my plate especially for the price. I want my food cooked all the way through. I’m also not sure if it was the porters fault or their fault but there were items that were forgotten in our order and we had to go back to get it.

Been eating at granny’s on and off atleast 15 years I enjoy my service and food each visit will be back again

I called before I drove over here. They said they closed at 745 and said i had to come because they didn't take orders over the phone. I arrived and called them at 7:35 lights were off but 3 of them liked at me parked right outside the window and didn't have the courtesy to tell me they were closed...I wished my experience would have been better. I was looking forward to trying you guys out.

I got just sides and they were fantastic. The chocolate cake is good the others not so much.

The people that work here put the soul. In soul food. Very delicious and customer service is warming. I eat here on the regular. Always treated like royalty.

When I worked down by Six Flags this was the place to go. I always tell people about this place. The food is amazing.

Not only are the employees pleasant, and down to earth~ But the bbq here is out of this world. Sometimes the collards are a hit or miss, either too salty or just right. The cornbread comes in two flavors. Perfect or burnt. Still doesn't change my opinion. The people and food are top notch. Always have something different daily. They bring out the grill on Saturdays and throw down. Their ribs are amazing. Their cakes are, also, delicious. Moist and satisfying the sweet tooth. My personal favorite is the key lime cake. Give it a try!

This was my first visit and last... the food wasn't hot at all... honestly if i didn't want macaroni that just came up it would have been a waste of money and time we bought 3 plates and no one was satisfied with an entire plate only one item they liked and that's bad we never goin back again the guys work there was so aggressive about the food and it wasn't good.... next time im setting for some hot wings smdh talking about a granny place she must be dead food was horrible.

My plate was good BUT the pound cake was nasty. It was wet and soggy. I don’t know if they drizzle something over it after it’s done but whatever it is please STOP! Other than the wet/soggy pound cake I enjoyed my plate from this spot.

I really had high hopes for this place but it just was not what I was expecting. The food looked good but taste is a different story. I was going to get the baked chicken but opted for meatballs instead. They were dry and the gravy did not taste fresh. The cabbage was okay but the mac and cheese was bland. My daughters didn't enjoy their food either.

Very nicely balanced and flavorful selections. The staff were all very friendly from the lady at the reception to the bar tender and the waitress. The atmosphere and ambience was very nice!

Food is good. However it's nasty on the outside premises. Also not so clean along serving line and near the drink fountain. They serve food without gloves. Bare handed handling food between serving line and cash register. Use small plastic cup to scoop up gravy juice to pour over food.

The food was great and I loved that they had German Chocolate cake with all coconut icing. Ran out of oxtails but we enjoyed our meal. Their wore masks and repeated instructed customers to space themselves 6ft apart following the feet on the floor, and they wore gloves. Kudos there.

Visiting from Texas and stopped here because of the ratings. Customer service was terrible!! One of the workers insisted we stand 6 feet apart even though we are in the same family AND wearing masks while the workers and another patron were not. I almost don't want to tell you how good it is because it's about the only place I can get good food in a 30 minute lunch break. Yesterday I went and got the beef tips and today, I invited a date to meet me there for lunch. I had the 4 veggie plate. He had the country ribs. It's the best food around, hands down. I am pleased! It is a powerhouse of flavor. I can attest that nary a sprinkle of salt nor pepper is needed. All you need is a place to store the leftovers until dinner. I can get 2 full meals out of one order. We are having 3 meals worth of leftovers tonight and we will both be stuffed! As the man with the ladle said, he can't guarantee that you can stay awake for more than 5 minutes if you sit still after eating a plate of Granny's soul food. He was right.
