Great little Museum. If you didn't catch everything your guide tells you about the discovery of Machu Picchu it gives you a second chance. Best to take the bus to Machu Picchu and hike down the 3000 ft back to Agua Calientes, hang a left at one of the last roads(there is a sign). The Museum is free included in your price of admission to Machu. Also check out the Botanical Garden.

The museum is fairly small, but still worth the visit.

Interesting museum, bigger than I thought. Worth a visit as it's included with the MP ticket. Guy on the entrance must have been having a bad, he wasn't very friendly and told me several times, "no photographs".

Great history of Incas, its a must too ser, IF go after 12:00 PM with macchu Picchu tickets its free tô visit, there is a botanic Garden by The side free too

Apparently, the admission is only free with your ticket if you visit after 12. If you want to visit before, you have to pay 20 soles. We didn't have time to wait, because we had to get back to our train. So of course, we got off the bus, but once you get off, it's a 20 minute walk back to town, because you can't get back on the bus to complete the trip.

Last entry 3.30, not 4. Not really realistic to fit Maccu Picchu and the museum into one day unless you have the sunrise tickets. Feedback would be to open later. Was really disappointed to not get in 👎🏼

Very interesting good place to visit for students also.

It is a small museum with a very small display of relics. But it does teach you a bit more of the history and significance of Machu Picchu.

Quick and interesting time at the site museum. Need to present your passport at the reception before you can start your self guided museum tour. Complimentary with Machu Picchu tickets. We were instructed to not take any photographs. This museum has cool information on Machu Picchu’s discovery and introduction to the world in the early 1900s as well as plentiful information on historical context during its peak in the times of the Inca civilization.
