My husband and I had actually walked around wood Street and were looking for a nice place to have lunch and we seen this restaurant in Victoria st we thought we might have a look. I am glad we did, from the start I was smitten with its feel. The owner David greeted us and was extremely pleasant, the food was amazing and now we are both leaving with very full bellies. Would recommend you come in and try for yourself especially the Lamb Shank. Thank David for both your beautiful hospitality and compliments to your chef for delicious meals.

Absolute worst dining experience I have ever had. $117 down the drain. Everything about this place was DISGUSTING. I had the beef cheeks with red wine jus. That “red wine jus” tasted like a coles brand packet of gravy. The “beef cheeks” were just beef fat. I could only have one bite of meat. I dined with 6 people and not a single person enjoyed their food. You should get paid to have to eat such poor quality food, not pay for it. The bathrooms were also disgusting. Service is disgusting. What a disgusting experience. Do yourself a favour and get maccas take away, because that’s what I had to do on the way home

High quality food. Definitely recommend the duck. The korean noodles was a little overpriced for what it was, kind of like ramen but spicy. For dessert the apple rhubarb crumble was delicious, the addition of macadamia ice cream was a brilliant touch. Creme brûlée was a bit of miss. Overall beautiful and ambient restaurant.

I came to Fusion 128 with high hopes. The price of the food was expensive in contrast to the portion size and what you get. I ordered a steak, which was beautifully cooked. Compliments to the chef. The let down was it was served with vegetables, well cooked again, but for the price, it was not worth it and I will say that is subjective to my opinion. The steak was 270 grams for $39.99 and one third of it was in gristle or tough inedible meat. If it’s the cut of the steak, then why wasn’t it discarded or better quality sourced? When you are paying that price, you want to eat all your steak, not 2/3’s of it. The service was standard, nothing above and beyond and nothing bad. Maybe it was just my experience with the steak, maybe it’s a consistent thing that happens. I’d like to try Fusion 128 again.

Service was excellent. Atmosphere was also nice. Wish they could clean the toilets a bit more. We had the Beef cheeks and Lamb shanks. Food was good, slightly overpriced. Overall a great experience. Would recommend

This cosy, beautiful restaurant in the middle of Mackay had amazing food. I had the duck which was cooked to perfection, complimented by the chocolate lava cake for desert. Absolutely top shelf, from the presentation to the friendly staff.

More like confusion than fusion. Was not impressed at all. Nothing made sense on the plate. Flavours were not bold and lacked. Poor value for money.

We travelled from the sunny coast and stayed here in Mackay and decided to go here for dinner worst decision ever. The man who served us no customer service, we ordered entree and was served 3 chicken wings with coleslaw which tasted like it was from a supermarket, and the twice cooked pork belly which was burnt and again only 3 pieces, no taste. Had a expresso martini and had a thick layer of chocolate on it again wasn’t nice. Decided to not order mains and left. I wouldn’t recommend this place too anyone.

This is only the 3rd time I have been to this restaurant and it will be my last. The guy that served us was really lovely but - we had to change tables because the flues on the inside of the dirty front window drove us mad, the food was really ordinary. I’ve never before had butter chicken where I had to dig my way through, what looked and tasted like cabbage, to find the couple of measly bits of chicken. That’s the first time I have ever had a bad butter chicken, even the cheap Indian chain stores sell better food. Once again very disappointed with this place that amazingly has 5 stars from google review. They are not at all deserved.

Had dinner here last night for my birthday with my family and was truly one of the best dining experiences I've ever had in mackay. The food was just to die for and as were the cocktails. The service was truly outstanding! If you're looking for your next night out, Fusion 128 is most definitely it!!

Ordered the laksa and the Korean spicy noodles. My partner enjoyed his noodles However the laksa was extremely bland. I really wanted something yummy so I ordered the Japanese Raman which was also bland. The prices are absolutely ridiculous for these 2 minute noodles. Also I must admit the beef that came on the noodles was absolutely delicious and the pork starter was amazing. Over all the camp food I get at work is better than the 2 minute noodles they served us for 140 bucks. Never again.

The food was really nice was a wonderful dinner. For entree we ordered oysters and mains grilled barramundi best restaurant and great atmosphere staff were very pleasant

This place is such a huge rip off. Its sad as Mackay doesn't have the best food scene and we were excited for a fine dining experience. This was not the case. What we got was extremely average food at a fine dining price. While the waiters were polite and lovely, the owner was strange. We noticed he went from table to table asking if people wanted to see his magic tricks. Lots of people said no and I felt sorry and said OK. He did the magic tricks then we paid and I asked if he could take a photo of us in front of the restaurant sign. He said no...too busy. The restaurant wasn't even full, it was probably not even half full. A weird way to talk to a customer who could have potentially posted the photo on social media encouraging others to try Fusion128.

This is the best in Mackay, the food was outstanding and top it up with the professional service from David the owner that talked and play games with mostly all the customers. and the little Asian girl that served us. Thank you and compliment to the chef. If you ever visit Mackay you have to visit Fusion 128 before you leave. Well done. And we will be back. Junior and Kevin.

Excellent quality food, some of the best in town. It's not cheap, but it is good value. Good service, particularly from the main waiter. I would recommend the duck or the beef cheeks or lamb shanks. Plenty of other things on the menu I wish to try. Worth checking out!

This restaurant was great, ambience really nice 😍, we like it, the staff nice and any staff will be give you magic show and we was really surprised cause his guess really true and giving future good stories for out relationship 😍

It was extremely quiet being a Thursday night, but the food was pretty good. Staff were great, place is clean and modern with a variety of comfy chairs.

Had the pork belly entree and it was delicious. Friendly, attentive staff. Not the biggest selection of alcohol but still a great restaurant. Very clean. Christian friendly.

First time to this restaurant - pleasantly surprised. Recommended by work colleagues whom enjoyed the night also. The menu was diverse and the food was better than expected. The owner was both attentive and entertaining - personally greeted each table and ensured everything was in good order.

Great menu. Superb food. Lovely ambience. Good, keen, friendly staff. Affordable. I will be back!
