Longest wait I’ve ever had at a McDonald’s. 45 minutes and still waiting for a take away order. Staff seen standing around talking and people made to order on the stands instead. This is meant to be fast food.

Manager tried to tell me this was a full serve of a medium shake. This is after I sent the first one back because it was NOT a thick shake. Employee basically slid it across the counter, if I wasn't paying attention it would have ended up on the floor. Poor customer service.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. Honestly the worst experience I've had with ordering food in my life. Ordered online and they messed up the toppings on two burgers and forgot another entire burger. I am a broke backpacker and we wanted to treat ourselves to McDonald's and had to put up with this absolute incompetence. How someone could be so terrible at a simple job is beyond me. I rang to get the burger dropped out and a lady was so rude on the phone telling us we'd to come collect it even though it was their mistake and I hadn't received the food I paid for. The woman offered no help and told me to take the issue up with menulog. She basically wanted me off the phone as fast as possible and didn't want to help me at all. It ruined the entire order. McDonald's should close this place down as they have got an absolutely incompetent workforce here and it ruins the entire brand. The entire order was 84 dollars and I want my money back. If you want McDonald's DO NOT GO HERE.

This McDonald’s has been almost a second home for me on my holiday in Mackay. I appreciate the air con, excellent staff, prompt service, fresh food and clean environment. Their toilets are always immaculate and smell fantastic. The meals are always prompt and the food is hot. Their Big Macs are some of the best and its a stopping point for me most days to get an ice cream cone with a Flake. 👌😊 The team are warm and hardworking. Many visits I have seen the team out cleaning tables, wiping down chairs and doing a general tidy up. One of the cleanest McDonald’s I’ve been to. The access to free Wi-fi is also excellent. That too has helped me immensely. I’ve watched the team Steve other customers and they always speak politely and with manners. I use the Maccas app on my iPhone and of late have had some trouble paying(only due to the fact that I actually cancelled my bank card because I lost it! Nothing at all to do with Maccas or their app, completely my fault!😶) The team were patient and respectful through my frustration at myself. The recommendations I have are that McDonald’s in general provide more bins outdoors and that Mackay provide more spots for people to lock up their bikes!! Looking around I noticed for a beach town with many push bikes 🚴 there are not sufficient facilities to lock up your bikes. 😑 Thank you

Worst customer service. Constantly fail to notify cust of 'out' products. I just waited 40 minutes in drive through and all I got was 'yeah we are under staffed?' Mate, maybe yell me that so I can decide Wether I want to wait 40 minutes. I will NOT be back 3 strikes and your out. They have messed up multiple times ( to be some what expected) but this has tipped me.

Worst McDonald’s experience ever. No staff were at the counter ready to serve, waited there for about 15 minutes. Looked out the back and saw all the staff who all knew we were at the counter, but didn’t do anything about it. Not to mention that all cold and frozen drinks were out of order. The chair I sat in had fresh gum chewed up which stuck to my shorts. I recommended this McDonald’s to no one, and fire all the staff because obviously no one there was qualified to serve a customer. 0/10.

No front desk service at all 15min standing there no one came out. $60 order in drive through all tastiest were just bread not even warmed. Completly missed the macaroons from the order. Absolutely disgusting service and food. Given sweet chilli sauce instead of maple for the hot cakes

Took 30minutes to get through drive through and then they forgot 2 burgers in our order. They wouldn't let us in the restaurant, i think because there was dozens and dozens of teenagers hanging around outside the building so must of been a safety issue?? so we had to go back through the drive through again, another 30 mins which meant the rest of our order was cold.. when I got home everyone started eating their food but didn't finish the burgers cause they were cold n dry and the chips were inedible.. fail.... aaand my biggest problem is: maccas is so bloody expensive for such low quality food and the order is always wrong every single time! Never again.

It's McDonald's. One of the smaller ones but as ever, a go to place with known menu and clean and reliable. A safe choice and one less thing to worry about when you've a lot going on.

Mackay McDonald's - Dangerous and unsafe play area. How can this not be fixed or playground closed off??? Large Perspex window is broken on the upper level. Kids are hanging and climbing out of it. I don't know if someone is going to fall out of it first or cut themselves on the edges - maybe both!? Also the baby change table in the toilets is loose and hangs too low once you put weight on it.

I was eating on 31/10/22 and we arrived 10pm The order machines were not working and it took time to proceed the order. Then, we were eating and the manager literally kicked us out because they had to close. So why they were opening and not let us finish the food. We had to pack everything in our pockets and let the place. HORRIBLE SERVICE. YOU SHOULD GIVE VALUE TO YOUR GUESTS.

Absolutely the most painful place to go the drive thru, don’t have the ability to serve drive thru lanes consecutively, serving 6 cars in one and then only two in the other lane, with one of those cars being last… yet there prior to four other cars sitting one car back from service point with no movement whatsoever as cars just keep getting served in the left lane…. then say oh sorry we are busy, too busy to figure how it’s supposed to work fairly. Idiots…

McDonald's Mackay is the worst McDonald's Restaurant i have ever been to. Slow to serve you. And the waiting time to pick up your food is around 20 minutes or more. The staff need to be trained properly. I don't know what the management is doing about this problem. I.I'm hoping that they'll do something about it.

Absolutely Astonishing, After collecting my Happy Meal I was shocked to find that mine did not come with the standard toy that is promised before purchasing the meal. Easy to say that I will never return to this joke of a Restaurant and they will forever lose me as a customer

First of all we get to the window we are met with an unpleasant, rude and impatient male voice. Who not only did not wait for us to say our order but when we corrected him gave us an extremely loud sigh with his clearly careless attitude. We drove forward and was met with yet another rude and impatient employee. When the wrong order appeared on the screen we quickly alerted her to the small confusion and with her disrespectful tone she asked “are you sure” while rolling her eyes even though we had stated our issues. However the girl who gave us our food was polite and showed actual respect to us as customers. It would be nice if more people in the world especially in the fast food industry to be a bit nicer and show more respect to the people paying for their time.

30 minute wait because your 'understaffed' even though three staff walked out while I was there and your drive thru seemed to be moving fine. Then order a burger with extra sauce and It comes out drowning in the stuff. Absolutely no care for customers at all. Disgraceful experience.

Ordered online through app, went to pick up at drive through with my order number I was told they couldn't find my order they needed to see my device, I ordered on the home computer and rode a motorbike. My licence and order number were not enough for them, they were rude and couldn't care less. I had to return home screenshot computer send to ipad and return with ipad to McDonalds to get what I can only describe as the worst and last burger I'll ever buy from McDonalds.

It seems they every second time I drive through to get breakfast fir the staff there is a huge mix up in the order. And more times than not, no napkins either. Staff are friendly but tired of the stuff ups.

Hygiene is spot on at this location. They don't just replace the garbage bags from the bins but they completely clean the bins inside and out! Some Maccas can be down right disgusting but I am very confident that I won't be getting sick eating at this location.

We ordered 2x large fries and a large coke and a meal with a frappe as the drink (change to a coke as frappes were not available). Our order was changed without asking to 1 of the fries and the coke being added into the meal so we were missing a fries and coke. Thankfully noticed that the little 2x was missing on the fries as I paid and reordered the missing items with some effort given the lady was like they are in the meal and didn’t understand we wanted 3x fries total and 2 drinks. We were then missing a fires we paid for when we got the order and had trouble getting the attention of a worker to get them before we drove off. Over all not a good experience, mistakes happen but several in one order is a bit much.

It is Maccas. This location is pretty solid has everything you would expect and i can't remember a time where i have gone there and they have not been able to fill my order. Dining area is good, Cafe side is good too. Nice cold air con. Staff are excellent too, it is a high standard Maccas.

Bit disappointed on the burgers now triple cheeseburger has paper thin berger meat.. come on and Thay still charging same price

the staff here are slow paced And extremely rude. I have been running deliveries back and fourth from this McDonald for about two months now and in that time I’ve been observing how staff treat customer’s they treat them extremely poorly. They treat delivery drivers with little to no respect, make us wait for 20-30min

Coffee shop is a dead atmosphere, nothing in the display case always looks like there in renovation stage.

What a joke this place is! Took half an hour to get a quarter pounder meal. They seem to prioritise deliveries over people coming in to get their food. We don't want fresh if it's going to be 30 minutes wait, go back to pre-making the burgers and being fast food again! No apologies offered. Won't be going back
