I loved my visit to this place. Very educating history about pirates. I liked the effort to translate the documents to English but there is some inconsistency and wrong captioning in the some of the translated texts. I will give 5 stars if the documents are corrected.

Lots of info on sea pirates but not focused on internet and modern pirating. Disappointing

Good for an hour to walk through. It is mostly in French, but they gave us an English version to read by ourselves as we went through.

It's a tourist trap. It has some interesting panels on Malagasy pirates, but don't come here expecting to get a very good understanding of piracy in the Indian ocean or to see artifacts. You will find neither. But, for 10,000AR (3USD), I guess I can't complain.

Nice idea, but not really convinced of the pirate history of Madagascar. Only one artifact to been see, a cannon.

I am not satisfied with the museum. It is a pirates pictures museum. I saw just very few items that can belong to previous eras. Even the other available items are newly made.

👍 For an European definitely an unforgettable experience, but be careful. Can be dangerous, both street food and people - a friend of mine was robbed during a bright day in the middle of the market.
