Tranquil. Just what I needed to recharge my batteries. Lots of braai places and very clean.

What a nice place for getting away for the day. Relaxing with the fishing rod in the water and a beer in the hand. Nice clean environment, green grass to have a picnic next to the dam and a play park for the kids. Ablution blocks are clean and friendly staff.

Very neat and not expensive to visit, they have a small tuck shop as well. Braai arias just needs some attention. They are also wheelchair friendly. Dogs are allowed there but must stay on-leash

Very relaxing,didn't get to see the water though, it was fully covered by plant life... Those arrows show the plant life over the dam.. Otherwise lovely place to go out and have an picnic and braai.

Place is changing for the better... come and experience a braai on edge of the dam with the sunset as a backdrop...chilaxing at the best.

It is a perfect place to hangout with your family and have a wedding or a photoshoot because of the beautiful dam and scenery, however, the operating hours can be adjusted for visitors or onetime users.

Lovely, clean and well maintained park. Go there to be on your own or with your pet during weekdays and enjoy the tranquil setting, under a tree or in the sun... Bar the 'greens' and the refuse in or on the water, it is exquisite. The ablution facilities are fairly well maintained, but clean.

Absolutely breathtaking... well sought after.. A true reminder of SA beautiful nature how spoilt are we! Just couldn't get enough of this view!

This is a really tough one to judge fairly as they are really at the mercy of the weather and the flow of the water hyacinths bed (which is incidentally laced with significant amounts of pollution). So call before you drive all the way and get disappointed. The administrator was very welcoming and professional. He offered us a significant discount because of the state of the dam. The rest of the facilities are really well maintained. There are lots of braai facilities dotted around the area with adequate shading. Althoug they provide grills, some are not in the best condition. There is lots of spaces for kids and dogs to run around.

Great fishing spot for the family toilets and showers are really basic and clean not alot of shade so make sure to take tents/gazeboz.has few things for kids to do like a jungle gym and a pool.wildlife roams freely lots of hyacinths.no electricity prices are decent.shops are close to the venue.

Always such a pleasure to have a family get-together at the Oewerklub. Peaceful and clean.

It must be one of the most beautiful clubs on the water, it's well managed and extremely well kept. The lush lawns and braai facilities, shade trees and stunning views make for a tranquil setting to just kick off the shoes and relax. The rules of no music make for an almost guaranteed peaceful visit. Well done management and thank you for creating and maintaining this very rare setting.

Nice and rustic place with a extremely amazing sunset. Quiet and well maintained. Will highly recommend camping and fishing or just going on a boat ride on the lake. Will visit again.

It is a very peaceful place to be. The bathrooms were not that clean but the play area and gardens are kept in a great condition.

Awesome tranquil place with lots of trees, green grass, braai stands and picnic tables to enjoy quality time with family and friends. You can buy a season ticket which allow you unlimited entrance.

Great place for picnic along the bank of Heartbeesport DAM. Coal , ice is available there. 120 rands for adult and 50 rands for the vehicle. Water taps are there with every picnic spot along with benches. Wonderful. Only negative is that there are green plants floating over the water surface of the lack , which covers water scenery. Buy obviously its not in the hands of this spot's management. 5 stars for braii and picnic.

Pleasant experience last month, not our 1st time but surprised to see alot of green algae on the water and floating plants this time. Lovely lapas (free), with bin at lapa. There are toilets. There is an entrance fee. Lovely kids jungle gym play area. Hours of fun, relaxing atmosphere. Shops on site. Self catering and braais permitted.

Been a member since moving to Harties years ago and, in my opinion, is the best place to visit. The views are panoramic and beautiful, the facilities are well kept, and now there is even a restaurant there which is brilliant. The fishing, on the other hand, is hit and miss with the Hyacinth but there are a few good spots where the catching is good provided the water is clear.

I visited this beautiful place on 21st August 2022, was a little chilly in the morning but the afternoon was awesome. So good to see people getting out & picnicking or just enjoying leisurely activities. The lake was pretty clean & the picnic spots are well maintained. One of the nice spots in Harties👍💕 Only downside is people that come with dogs don't clean the poop. We sit on the grass & prepare food as well. The management should fine these inconsiderate people ?

Had a bit of a struggle with the lacintas in the water but other than that it was a great day and the area is clean and neat.
