a hidden gem less than an hour from Johannesburg, the tents are spacious and have everything you need for a relaxing getaway. the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. the hikes offer surprising diversity from bushveld to riverside and even a beautiful forest. we had a wonderful weekend and were sorry we couldn't stay another night at least.

12km hike is lovely. First 2km takes you past the most beautiful stream and natural river. Some parts of the trail is a comfortable easy walk through grass planes, but some parts up Leopards Rock is for the more experienced hiker and you will need gear like hiking sticks. Friendly staff, lovely shop and ablution facilities for a day outing.

An absolutely sublime, dog-friendly hike. We did the 8km trail which is not strenuous, mostly walking along a pretty river under a shaded path. We ended our hike with a lovely braai. The staff at B’sorah are also so hospitable and lovely. Not far from Joburg, it was a really great day out.

The open cable car had no life jackets. However was a fun experience. Clean place to hike.

There are different tents. Hubby booked us a tent on the river. It has a huge main area with bed, comfy chairs, shelves with kitchen crockery/cutlery and fridge. Bathroom has a tree as part of the shower and you look out onto the trees over the river. Outside is the kitchen area. A patio with table and chairs overlook the river. A huge boma area invites you to sit and braai. Look out for monkeys - they are quick!

We spent 3 nights at the Swempie Luxury tent. It was an awesome experience. It is secluded amongst the trees and has all the amenities necessary. The tent has large net windows, allowing you to fall asleep (on a most comfortable mattress)and wake up with a beautiful view of nature. There are hiking/ trail running trails of different distances from 5km to 18km. They are extremely well signposted. There are also seperate cycling trails. If you're up to it, you can even go for a swim in the river. I totally enjoyed my stay and would highly recommend staying at B'Sorah luxury tent for an overnight stay or two. Day visitors to the trails are also welcome.

Absolutely loved my day here! My husband and I celebrated with an anniversary hike, and the 1 hour drive to get here was 120% worth it! The sights are breathtaking and we stopped every 5 minutes to "ooh and aah" over things the whole time. They also have cows that are in impeccable condition, and what's better than a little moomoo?! I highly recommend this place!

Oh my gosh, what a wonderful little piece of heaven B'Sorah is! Swempie Tent is the most peaceful place I have been to in a very long time - it is simple and rustic; but so nice and clean and comfortable, with everything you need for a chilled getaway. The view from the tent is amazing, the farm is absolutely beautiful and the staff are wonderful and so helpful. The hiking trails are fantastic, so well marked and there's even the bonus of a river to swim in on the 10km trail. B'Sorah very quickly became my favourite place and I cannot wait to go back.

We went hiking with our dog and everything was exactly as advertised. Lovely 5km walk suitable for beginners, with not much uphill and at least half the trail was in shade (during autumn) Side note: incredible home made ice cream at the farm shop.

Our tented camp was peaceful and remote - it felt like we were the only ones there. The hiking trails got quite busy but to be expected. Would definitely recommend if you want a relaxing getaway.

We did the 8 km hike and what a pleasant surprise! The first 3 km was open savanna with lovely views and the last 5 km a pleasant stroll underneath trees next to a clear stream. Lovely relaxing and quiet day

Amazing hike..love the greenery and real smell of nature. Dogs loved it to, had a nice swim in the stream. Excellent coffee milkshake and a cute and yummy farm stall to buy some baked goods to eat there or take home with you

One of our favourite places to go when we want to break away from the hustle & bustle of city life. Always so beautiful & peaceful.

The hiking trails are amazing for it being so close to the city. It has a wide range of distances from beginner to advanced and believe me no matter where you walk you will not be bored. The views are amazing. We really enjoyed swimming in the stream. The accommodation in the tented camps was tranquil. It was quiet and peaceful. The tent itself was very clean and tidy. We loved waking up to the sounds of birds. Be sure to order a breakfast basket when staying over, it is well worth it. It has a wide variety and its amazing, you will not regret it!
