Cute atmosphere but limited seating and unfriendly staff. The environment COULD be so cozy and intimate, but on busy weekends, it gets so busy that it just feels like a house party. My friends and I (four total) went on a Friday evening and could not get seating absolutely anywhere. Also, all bars should have security or at least a sign to make sure drunk people know not to take alcohol off of the premises - Gib’s instead prefers to have their bartender excessively yell profanities at customers when they step off of the stairs. I get that it’s common knowledge not to do that, but drunk people obviously need extra cues to remember. Finally, my friend had had too much to drink and one of us went to get water for her. The bartender made a rude comment about my friend skipping the line for water and then ignored their request. We just went home for the water.

I’m so sad to be giving this place a 1 star review. To be honest I really loved it when I walked in and the atmosphere was amazing and the vibes very good. The drinks were fine nothing special, but what really made me upset was me and my 3 friends got cut off from drinking because of their faulty table. 2 drinks slipped off the table because it was slanted and being blamed for something you didn’t do is unfortunate. But besides that I would have came back but after that I will not be returning

If you go here to drink don’t sit at the bottom floor across the bar you might be blamed for something that is out of your control.

An unassuming place that over delivers in every way. The staff are friendly and accommodating, drinks exactly what they say, pair that with grandpas pizza next door and it makes any date night a home run. Kyle and Kevin are both knowledgeable, easy going and fun! Have them make you something off menu once you’ve tried everything and you won’t be disappointed. Already excited to go back!

Our group of 13 had a great experience as we celebrated a small bridal shower. The atmosphere and drinks were fantastic and our bartender Kyle did an amazing job. Definitely will be coming back!

This place has fantastic cocktails and a perfect cozy vibe! It’s very small. My husband and I waited in line for 20 minutes and a couple walked right in, went right up to the counter right in front of us and ordered. We were shocked that the bartender completely ignored us and took their order before us after we had been waiting all that time. Pretty odd and was a big turn off. Would recommend going on a weeknight when it’s not too busy.

The vibe is super cool and the bartenders are amazing, the drinks are a little expensive but everything else rocks!

One of the best bars in Madison! I love the atmosphere of a bar built into a house. The drinks are creative and delicious. Everyone I've met who works there are so friendly and helpful.

I have a bias towards this place.. I think three stars is pretty resonable for my bias. If you come here expect slow bar service.. not because they are bad bartenders. Because the good drinks are classy and take time to make. The bartender, Kevin I think.. he was dope. Attentive and talkative ti the ladies at least lol. He made two excellent drinks. I hear the food is good. This place reminds me of Mickeys in Madison. It feels like you're at someone's house. I came for the Madison gallery event. I'd come here again for drinks and maybe food.. I'd suggest a hard pass on gallery night. Again, with my bias... its kind of a cool place..

This is a must stop if you are ever on Willy st in madison. It is so cute and quaint and has amazing staff and drinks. Their drinks are so unique and I’ve tried almost all, you can’t go wrong with whatever you choose on their craft cocktail list. Stop by it is so much fun!

I’m a BIG fan of this place but the bartenders (one in particular) should know that it doesn’t help your reviews (or tips) when you’re snapping at customers and pouring them inconsistent drinks. Every time I order something here it gets poured in a different sized glass and is never the same as the last one. If it weren’t for the pizza from next door, I’d probably stop coming here. Please please please just work on your bar manners and practice pouring consistent beverages. Thanks!

Great drinks, great service, warm atmosphere. Always worth the price and consistently some of the best drinks in Madison.

Craft cocktails served on two floors and the porch of an old wood frame house furnished with antiques on Willy Street. If you are looking for a cozy nook to savor a drink or two this is the place.

we love Gib's, a home away from home. The staff is wonderful, as are the drinks. I especially like to order a community cocktail and sit on the porch to enjoy the wonders of Willy Street.

Gib’s is a fantastic spot. Kevin and Kyle are phenomenal and make awesome drinks. They are so accommodating and chill. We have them make us their own drinks off menu, which are fantastic. Hands down best cocktail bar in Madison.
