I come to Madison 8 to 10 times a years, decided to try this hotel . As a diamond member, no cold water or free snacks at the front, in my room didn't have enough wash cloths, did even have any more at the front desk, said they are short of them. seriously, not treated or given any respect. I will go back to the East Side Hotels, who give us cold water, and snacks. Parking here, ridiculous, couldn't find a spot in the hotel parking lot. R u kidding me... no parking. This is the hotel response...rude There should be waters in your room and we do have snacks at the front desk. Were you able to see them? Parking is free in the front of our hotel and is available within all 3 hotels surrounding us. Enjoy the East side hotels! -Greg

My dog was being treated for cancer at UW - Madison from April until last week when she lost her battle. We had six stays at this hotel during that time, all of which were consistently wonderful. The rooms are large and clean, beds are comfortable, and the kitchen has a full sized fridge, which came in handy during some of our longer stays. Sometimes I had to stay here by myself, and it says a lot about both the hotel and the area that I felt safe to do so as a female traveling alone with a dog with mobility issues. Breakfast was the typical continental fare, but that is all I needed. The staff here exceeds expectations, and truly could not have been nicer to me. Jim is a standout in particular, as he always does the extra mile. A couple of my stays were of an indefinite length of time at booking, and the staff was so easy and flexible at working with me to extend those stays when needed. My dog did not always stay with me on these trips (as sometimes she was in hospital), but when she did, there was plenty of convenient, well manicured access to grass outside the hotel, as well as pet waste stations around the perimeter of the hotel. For non pet people, there was no dog smell or fur anywhere. A lot of pet friendly hotels are a bit dingy - not this one. This hotel is truly the five star hotel of three star hotels. I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality, cleanliness, and dependability through a really difficult time.

Wry nice hotel. Layout is a little goofy, but super clean. I travel for work and definitely prefer Hilton properties. Digital key and mobile checkin/out is so handy.

Grace and Samy at the front desk were so pleasant and professional. Housekeepers did an amazing job and the folks that ran the breakfast buffet were always cheerful and helpful. I would definitely book here again.

Spacious king "suite" is comfortable and convenient with a little kitchenette and a sitting area. Bed is comfy. Good shower but the water is quite soft. Good sink layout. Will keep this on the list for staying again the next time we pass through Madison.

Repeat guest who will never stay again. Wow has this place gone down hill! There is no hospitality to be found here. We've stayed here a dozen times but in recent years the service is unrecognizable. There was no hand soap, we had to go to walmart and buy our own. There were not enough pillows for our party of 4. Only 3 towels were provided, and each day we had to ask for an extra because they could never figure out we needed one per person after a 9 night stay. Some days house keeping never showed up even when we went to the front desk and specifically requested they make sure our room was not skipped again. The kicker was when they did come, took our bed sheets off and left new sheets folded at the foot of the bed. When we went to the front desk they told us it wasn't their responsibility to make the bed and we would have to make it ourselves. My husband left a review on another site and the next morning we overheard the staff talking about it and staff said, "Don't worry about it, no one reads that site anymore anyway." Homewood Madison West staff clearly does not care at all about their guests experience. If that wasn't enough the old sagging mattress left us in pain, the pillows were paper thin, the curtains wouldn't close leaving bright lights from the courtyard shining in all night, the bedroom light flickered so bad we had to stop using it, there was pet hair all over, and the breakfast which used to be a huge draw was now full of inedible food. It feels like the end of an era, but we will not be back.

Stayed here for a little over a month in an extended stay suite and it was overall a great experience. Staff were the friendliest I have ever interacted with and always very helpful. They were very accommodating for our cat and dog as well. Room was clean and housekeeping always did a great job. The breakfast was good and the free dinner socials on Wednesdays always had great food as well. The only minor complaints were the small gaps under the doors meant sound carried easily into the hall and you could hear people’s conversations when walking past their rooms and they could probably hear yours. Doing laundry is also a bit annoying as it requires at least $4 worth of quarters to do a single washer dryer load not including the detergent which had to be purchased from the front desk if you didn’t already have some with you. Otherwise I was overall satisfied and I would be happy to stay again.

Rooms were fine. Definitely dated amenities and interiors. The room keys never worked, every time I got to my room, I’d have to walk back to the lobby I’d have to get my keys remagnetized. Pain in the butt. Front desk didn’t know what to do. Just shrugged their shoulders and went on with their day. I had to get my keys fixed 4 times in one day. I will never choose to stay here again

I have stayed here in the past. Thought it was a nice hotel. Unfortunately the hot tub was broken. There was food left in my hotel room in the cabinets, hair on toilet and a dirty refrigerator. I told the front desk and said they would figure out what happened. When we asked again they didn't do anything. When we asked for room service, the guy cleaning our room didn't even clean. He left towels.onnour floor and only vacuumed one room. Extremely dissatisfied. The beds are comfortable either of you are looking forward to a nice bed. Breakfast was bad and gross I bought my own breakfast. The free 24 hot chocolate was the best thing there with there fireplace.

I was eating breakfast and the front desk lady accused me of not staying there and eating a free breakfast. Not that I need to say this but I have been a diamond member for 12 years now. I have stayed here a few times and won’t ever again. It was embarrassing, and almost makes me want to switch hotel brands. I’m sure if the conversation and/or situation was handled better it wouldn’t be a problem. We didn’t need to have this conversation in front of the whole breakfast area they could have pulled me aside and talked to me.

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. The area was nice there's a Target across the street and a few restaurants around. Only thing was the elevator kept going out and we had to walk all the way to the other side of the hotel to use that elevator

Stayed here a few times and it's generally a pretty good value for the price. Sometimes it's overpriced, as most hotels are, during events and such. But at their usual rates it's one of the better values. The look is getting a bit outdated, but the rooms are clean and the person who checked me in at the front desk was very friendly.

Amazing staff, clean spacious accommodation, great location, outstanding service, remarkable kitchen staff and cleaning staff. Best aparthotel I've stayed in for a while. They're really coming up fast to challenge Airbnb

Complimentary breakfast was literally the worst one I've ever had at a hotel. I'm not sure why it was so bad but most of the food was basically inedible. Even the waffles were chewy and bad, and those are usually a pretty safe backup.

Quick and professional check in. Beautiful lounge and breakfast area with ample seating. The king studio suite was beautiful with full size kitchen. The sofa and dining table were comfortable. The bed was comfortable but the duvet takes the cake as I have not experienced such a soft duvet ever. Breakfast was delicious with enchiladas, oatmeal, sausage, many kinds of bread. I really liked the coffee. I was happy they had a breakfast buffet instead of the grab and go breakfast which are popular now a days. Muffins were tasty too.

The room had a kitchen with 2 burner stove top, full fridge and ice maker, full sink, cabinets with dishes, pans, pots and utensils. The room had a full size desk and chair, couch, king sized bed with 2 side tables, and huge bathroom with 2 shower heads. I enjoyed the outdoor fire pit. Very cozy.

Just stayed at this beautiful property for two nights. Staff from Front Desk to Breakfast crew were outstanding! The hidden eggs made my son happy 😊. Thanks for the small touch. Property was clean. Breakfast offered fruits, pastries, yogurts, bread, and hot items (varies by day).

I have had the pleasure of staying here a few times for business this year. The rooms are comfortable and generally well kept. I have come to appreciate the quiet noise level and great sleep I get when here. The location is minutes from so many businesses and restaurants, you cannot go wrong staying here when in southwest Madison!

One of the best places to stay. Service is phenomenal. Upon check in received two bottles of water for being an honors member. Received texts daily asking how the experience was. Room had a full kitchen and utensils. Very clean and well maintained rooms. Beds and pillow were very comfortable as well. Breakfast is included and good selections are available daily. Plenty of free parking also available. Good location. Highly recommend.

The staff was friendly. The facility was clean especially the hotel room suites. And the complimentary breakfast was delicious with varieties of hot and cold foods. We'd definitely come back again.

Jeb and the rest of the staff make you feel like family. This hotel is in a great location and is always clean and comfortable. This property is my first choice when I am in Madison.

A nice little apartment! Having a full size fridge with an ice maker was awesome. Overall a very good experience. On the down side, we needed to rearrange furniture just to watch the TV (from either the bed or the couch! ) Also, the water temperature in the shower kept fluctuating from cool to scalding 🔥 hot!

We had a very pleasant stay for a weekend. Clean and decent size room. Lot of natural light inside the room. Nice options for breakfast on both days. Cozy fireplace for small gathering.

    - positives - happy with room/hotel/service - good fresh food for evening and breakfast items - seems to have working heater in bathroom area - counter staff is friendly and helpful - - negatives (for manager regarding improvements) - shower/tub area not as clean as would have liked, hairs and stuff in there before used - refrigerator not messy, but not real clean visually in details, my food should go there, ok for sealed items per comfort level - ironing board did not look like I wanted my nice business clothes on there (not sure if it was messy or just looked messy, was faded/stained) - room rate got increased during staff room swap (after I checked in via app, selected room, it got changed, price increased), was resolved after reported - towels in pool, not worth it, too small/thin, and look dirty, white towels should not look brownish Overall a good pleasant stay, would return. (5 star if a bit cleaner in room, bathroom, kitchen areas, it's in the details)

Clean - CHECK! Courteous staff - CHECK! Solved a heater unit noise issue (upgraded me with ease and convenience) - CHECK! The accommodations are starting to appear just a little "worn." Some cracked floor tiles in the bath. Spots on the sofa. But far, far better than most facilities!
