Went here before a show at the Barrymore. Most pathetic bar service I’ve ever received. Wasn’t even crowded and bartender took 15 minutes to even notice us (we were sitting at the bar right in front of him). Service was ungodly slow and he kept forgetting our order. Food was left sitting on the end of the bar after it left the kitchen for 10 minutes before it got to us and by that time the food was cold. Don’t go here.

I've been a Harmony patron for 15 years and this is the first time I had a not great experience. The food was good but the service was not. The server didn't close out my tab as requested. Not a big deal. Then my kid's food order was wrong - her fault as she admitted. When I explained the wrong food order, the server offered to comp my next beer which was not helpful since I didn't want another beer. I have seven years of serving experience and know you should comp the thing you messed up, not a hypothetical future need that hasn't been expressed. Just not a great experience.

Went here with my psychiatrist on my visit to the big, beautiful city of Madison, Wisconsin. Has a nice somewhat college type atmosphere and the food was solid. The burger was massive and done up medium well (perfect) and the cheese curds (I know I'm late) we're also memorable. Hopeful to come back one day..

The food is not bad but just overpriced. The burger doesn't come with fries but is 12 dollars and then they charge extra for cheese and onions. The walnut burger is good but once again this place is probably better for music and drinks, skip the food.

As great as bar food gets- the walnut burger and hot chips hit the spot! My husband enjoyed the white house turkey sandwich too. We also appreciated that they have a good cider on tap and we didnt have to settle for overly sweet bottled options. We stayed for some excellent blue grass tunes- the performances are intimate and high quality. Absolutely a great spot to catch some music and tasty bites amongst great fellow Wisconsinites.

Extremely rude bartenders and terrible service. They will ask you to leave if they don’t like the topic of the private conversation you are carrying on at the bar. Also very unsanitary food prep situation. You will probably get sick if you eat anything from their “kitchen”. Avoid this bar like the plague.

Picked a good day to poke in, the staff and service was great, the atmosphere was inviting and the live band was neat! Although we popped in about an hour before last call, the staff was still inviting and friendly. We caught the last few songs of the band playing and it was a great way to end the night! Plus bathrooms were clean.

Just got done throwing up after paying an extreme price for a simple cheeseburger and hot chips. The burger was completely raw and the blue cheese dip was rancid. I have been coming to the Harmony religiously for over 20 years and it has always been my favorite place in Madison for food and drinks. Obviously over the 3 years since my last visit something has changed, but it will forever remain a good memory.

Stopped by after hearing about the great burgers from some friends. We ordered a few burgers, yes they were great! Had some cheese curds with some ranch sauce to finish it off. The atmosphere was as if you were in your neighborhood. The staff was prompt and friendly. We will be back again! Don’t forget to leave a generous tip as they too work hard.

Great atmosphere and beer choices. Food looked great however we did not eat stopped on the way to a show at the Berrymore. Plan to head back to eat sometime looked and smelled fabulous!

Bartender was not observant, food was meh, and the scene was non existent. This place used to be my go to. But after last 3 visits…they need a better bar manager. Love the music focus, but doesn’t make up for poor bartending & service.

I was there for a special event. Friendly neighborhood bar and grill. Vintage style bar room, separate large room for dining, large patio. This was a relaxing place to have drinks with friends. We did not eat during this visit. Highly recommend. I would definitely return when in Madison.

The atmosphere here is great. Live music with a good crowd. But we came for dinner. And I would not recommend. The nachos were a joke. A sprinkle of cheese, a sprinkle of meat nothing like the Google photo on the reviews. The fries cost almost the same price of the burger and the portion just isn't worth. This is food designed for when you're wasted so you won't notice all the flaws. The burger was decent.

A neighborhood gem/institution. Good bar food (always shout-out to the house-made walnut burger) and friendly staff. The sound in the back room has improved massively since new ownership recently took over. Great place to see live bands and grateful to still have this small, independent venue in town!

Played a show here and the staff was incredibly friendly, patrons were engaged in the music and danced for all of the bands. A great environment.

Best neighborhood bar ever! Been away for 17 years and I still compare every new place to the Harmony. First time back today so here’s some advice: walnut burger, pub chips, and a Spotted Cow….

I was there for lunch which is saying something as it gets more and more difficult to find a place open during lunch. My friend had the walnut burger which he loved. I had the perch fish fry. I was attracted to it because it looked so different but it wasn't for me. Coleslaw was not so awesome either. Staff was wonderful. Still haven't seen music here yet either.

The best neighborhood Tavern. The special patti-melt included 3 cheeses and fried onions. This is the most comfortable place on the east side.

Great local bar. Need a place for a great pour, they've got you. Good pub grub too.
