Excellent tour. We walked over 2 hours and saw the most important places and monuments. Our guide could answer every question and was passionate about the city. He gave great recommandations for things to do and must-see places to visit while in Madrid.

Had a wonderful tour with Angel! He is very knowledgeable of Spanish history, and really brings it to life with his explanations during the tour. I would highly recommend this anyone traveling to Madrid to do on their first 1-2 days there to get a feel for the city and visit and learn about some main attractions!

Very good walking tour! Our guide Miguel was very friendly and knew everything there was to know about Madrid. He answered every question the group had and the tour covered all the major sites of the city. He also mentioned good spots to see after the tour including bars, restaurants and general areas to visit. A must do on your first day to get your bearings on the beautiful city!

We did our your in English with Angel. He is extremely knowledgeable and passionate about history. He explained the Spanish history with a lot of ease and made the tour very digestible, despite the heat and the fact that he covered centuries in a short period of time. I absolutely recommend this tour

Wow, we just loved our tour with Miguel! He clearly loves his city and delivers information with passion but without bias. Truly exceptional. He was able to give us great historical context about the architecture and development of Madrid as a city from a fortress military outpost to major capital of the world. The views from some of the stops were incredible. He was engaging and fun as our guide. He gave us excellent suggestions for lunch that really were the best meals we had in Madrid. He also recommended a pedestrian walk that we did the next day that was just lovely, views over the city and families playing and walking on a Saturday. We never would have seen how the people of Madrid spend their Saturday outside without his suggestions! We enjoyed our city tour so much that we joined Miguel the next day for the Monument and Retiro park tour. Just enchanting. We loved this tour as it focused more on the Bourbon’s time period and art development so we got even more enriching information while wondering the gardens. 10/10 would do another tour with Miguel if we had time!

Had a fantastic walking tour with Miguel! He is so knowledgeable and passionate about this city and it shows in his enthusiasm and energy in leading the group. It lasted a little over two hours and it covers a large section of the historical city center area. Miguel was charming and made sure to personally connect with the members of the tour, even engaging with some of the younger children as well. He provided some great recommendations of what to try out and also provided a list of restaurants and other suggestions to try throughout the city. I appreciated his inclusiveness and his ability to easily lead a large group. He also spoke perfect English. I am so happy to have had this experience with Miguel and I highly recommend this tour to others visiting Madrid!

Angel was an amazing tour guide! He was friendly, very fluent in English, was passionate and very knowledgeable about Madrid and Spain. His knowledge of the history of his country was impressive. We walked away with a much better appreciation of what the people of Madrid and Spain have experienced over the centuries. Would love to take another tour from him. Would highly recommend!!

The Free Walking Tour Madrid was managed very well. We ended up with a very large group that was split in three with three different guides. We went with Miguel who seemed to be the one in charge. That was a very good decision. He laid out his plan for the tour going both forward and backward in history with specific examples in architecture and monuments. Very well handled and highly recommended. All major sites in the Central area were covered from Playa del Sol to the Bourbon Palace. Miguel ended the tour by giving us tips on where to shop and eat . Very much appreciated.

Wow! What a fantastic tour. Miguel was an incredible guide, with fantastic English skills, and such a passionate storyteller. He also answered all of my many many questions with a smile and you can see he loves what he does. Thank you to the organisers but a special thanks to Miguel for such a helpful guidance.

What a great walking tour! Our guide, Miguel, was born & bred in Madrid and its shows. His knowledge of his city is extensive and his enthusiasm is infectious. The tour itself took in all the crucial sites with lots of information about each, it's history and how that fits in with the complete history of Madrid. He gave so many suggestions of what else to see & do and where to go for every kind of food we'll have to come back again, several times!! We have done lots of free tours in various cities around Europe but this was by far the best. Thank you Miguel for sharing your beautiful city with us 💙

Angel was a superb guide! Funny, personable, and extremely knowledgeable about Spanish history. Saw some memorable parts of the dirt, but it was really brought to life by Angel’s stories and explanations of why these places were significant to Madrid and Spain altogether. The Scottish accent also doesn’t hurt. 10/10 would recommend if you’re visiting !

This is hands down one of the best walking tours I've ever been on, and I've done 30+ tours. Angel was knowledgeable, charismatic, and had a real passion for Madrid that really shined through. I went on this tour at the start of my trip through Spain, and found that the info I learnt on this tour really improved my vacation as a whole. How the various facets of history and culture tied together to make Spain as we know today was really well explained. Plus, he's a fantastic storyteller, and the Scottish accent just adds to the experience. As a bonus, I made some friends on this walking tour that I kept travelling with, and we all constantly thank Angel (in spirit) for making our friendship possible. Can't recommend it enough (and they point out the free water fountains which was nice)!

Love love love the free walking tour with Miguel! Now three days later, the free walking tour was my favorite part of being in Madrid. Miguel is SO knowledgeable (should be a professor) and he gave us such a good foundation of the history of Madrid which really helped us with all our touring following. He was so fun, animated and open to questions! Didn’t want the tour to end! Highly recommend.

I was in Madrid for half a day so I decided to join this tour to get the most out of my time. During the tour through the old town I learned a lot about the history and saw the highlights of the city. The tour guide Ángel was amazing and had a lot of knowledge, I even learned about my own country from him.

Miguel was an amazing tour guide. He knew all the history but also lots of lovely local knowledge. He kept the energy up even though it was really hot. I really appreciated that at each stop he made sure we had shade. English people aren't used to Spanish heat!

Did a Sandeman tour of Madrid. Unfortunately it was not that good. The tour guide was not that interesting, spoke waaayyy too much (ie took 10 minutes to explain something that would take 30 seconds) and too be honest didn't explain the history of Spain and Madrid well. I've been on MUCH better. 2.5 hrs I wish we had back

Miguel is an amazing and personable tour guide. He shows a great passion for Madrid and it is impressive how knowledgeable he is about the history of Spain. The tour rounds for around 2 hours and 30 minutes with many stops throughout to talk about the surroundings. It is very easy to follow and suitable for all. He offers great local recommendations on where to eat and visit. Highly recommended

We had the free walking tour with our guide Angel. He was a very good guide, telling all the important historic topics. Combined with jokes and his charme this was a brilliant experience. We've been in a lot of cities, doing free walking tours and this was for sure one of the best! Thank you so much Angel!

We booked this trip based on the fact that we did a similar trip in Athens a few weeks ago so we knew what to expect. We were a group of 7 so it wasn’t too many of us. Miquel our tour guide was very enthusiastic and also very knowledgeable. He was born and bread in Madrid and had a wealth of information about the city and knew the history extremely well. It was a very informative and enjoyable walk around Madrid. I can highly recommend this company. Value for money is extremely good. You give the guide a voluntarily donation based on your own satisfaction. Needless to say we were satisfied and tipped well.
