Public transportation is easy. About 3 blocks from the train station as well as one of the hop on off bus stops. Reception staff provided excellent service and gave specific directions. Truly excellent customer service. Breakfast buffet offered a variety of offerings. Beds and pillows are heavenly. Room was spacious and good shower water flow. You can get lost in one of those gigantic bath towels... the size of a heavy duty beach towel. You would love staying here and give yourself a treat without breaking the bank.

Pretty good location. About 10-15 min walk from Madrid Atocha and far enough for it to be quiet. Really great breakfast. Comfortable bed. Had everything we needed. Hotel staff was really nice. Great wifi.

Overall it was great, the room was clean, the bed very comfortable, the staff very polite, friendly, and helpful. The "all you can eat breakfast, was simply excellent". The only thing is the carpet on the hallway was too old, and dirty. This gave a bad impression as I was going to the room. It think it already served its purpose and is time to be replaced.

Excellent hotel within walking distance of Madrid’s Atocha train station, and 10 minutes from the city’s main central park. Very easy check in, excellent breakfast, clean but simple rooms. Not giving 5 stars as there wasn’t any drinks making facilities in the room, just a paid minibar. Rooms are a little dated but not enough to grumble about. Excellent stay, highly recommended.

This hotel has truly won a special place in my heart. With all the comforts of a 4 star hotel, this accommodation is located within 10-15 minutes walking distance from Puerta de Atocha, which is where you will enter Madrid if you travel by train. From there it is within doable walking distance of all major attractions in the city center of Madrid, but even then there's usually always a metro station close by. All these advantages are not truly unique, however. What makes me truly happy with my stay here is the staff. I made the serious error of booking my stay a month too early. I only caught this mistake by a courtesy email from the hotel notifying that I'd soon come. I immediately emailed the hotel services to see if I could amend my bookings. That same morning my booking was changed to the actual date I was coming WITHOUT extra pay. Then, upon arrival, the staff at the reception were really courteous, and this remained a constant with all staff members I met during my stay. If I'll ever be back in Madrid, this is where I'll be staying. They've earned my loyalty through trust and understanding, and that is something I don't take for granted. Thank you very much to contribute to a wonderful experience in Madrid!

Service amazing (they speak lots of languages), location literally few steps from the metro and crossing the road you can find the Atocha Station. Rooms are clean, beds comfortable, decor could be better, but after all the hotel is good if you need to stay close by the train station. Also, they have a €14.50 breakfast and dinner that is considered a very good price in Spain, especially in hotels.

We checked in a little late, about 10 pm. The check in procedure was pretty smooth and pleasant. But when we got into the room and found everything needed to pay for, even a glass of water, we were disappointed. The room had nothing except the snack and drinks for sale, not even tea or coffee machine. When I called the front desk for where to get water, I was told to drink tap water which was never heard of in a 4 star hotel. But anyway, we still had some water left and didn't need it. We ordered Sushi that night from a nearby restaurant, thanks to the location of the hotel which is why I chose it. When I got back home and got a message in the email stating that we may take something from the mini-bar, I was very unhappy with that assumption. we checked out about 5:30 am and told front desk we took nothing from the mini bar, the staff should have gone and checked it instead of asking later. This is so unprofessional. That's why I can only give our experience a 3 star, I will try to avoid such hotel in the future.

Decent place. Can walk to rent Puerta de Atocha train station. Professional staff. On the old side but very clean and maintained.

Nice classy hotel located just few minutes walking from Atocha train station. Hotel staff are very welcoming and always there to support.

Nice hotel but badly needs an upgrade to keep its four stars. The restaurant and the bar are only two or three stars. Breakfast is fine. Some of the staff need a smile.

It's a good hotel located 10 mins from the train station, Parque del Retiro and the Prado Museum. The rooms have a safe which requires a Є15 deposit for the key but you get that back when you return the key.

Well situated Hotel close to Atocha station. Staff very welcoming and good at offering help to explore attractions of Madrid. I would recommend and stay again.

This hotel is located walking distance from major attractions and across from a beautiful park. It is also walking distance to the train station, Puerta de Atocha. This was perfect as we were leaving early on the high speed train to Barcelona. It's a solid hotel and is clean and well maintained. To get another star from me, I would love to see the dĂŠcor updated. It's a bit dated. The staff did their jobs. I wouldn't say they were friendly or unfriendly. The staff in the restaurant for breakfast weren't particularly welcoming. The bar staff are very engaging. And the breakfast was okay.

Have visited this hotel when on business on a couple of occasions, shortly to return again and have found it great. Reception team are efficient and friendly, breakfast and restaurant food is very good also. Rooms clean and made up daily so no complaints. Within walking distance of centre and minutes from metro.

Pros. Superb location and staff. The air conditioning works. Rate. Cons. The hotel has needed a complete renovation of rooms, bathrooms, corridors, common areas and FF&E for years. Noise from corridors. Towels old and smelling from laundry and storage. Collapse at reception when a group arrives or leaves. Wi-Fi can be easily improved

No air conditioning and the room smells like cigarettes. Sorry but we don't recommend your hotel.

Location is great, close to the main train station. Rooms were a bit outdated but comfortable, however closed in with not natural sun light etc. I recommend this hotel if you are looking for something affordable.

The location was really good! Easy to get anywhere with a lot of public transportation close by! The service and breakfast here was really good! The room was really nice too, only negative here was the shower! Should be a little longer hose and more pressure in the water, but everything else with the room was pretty close to perfect and also very effective and working aircon! I would definitely recommend this hotel! 😁

THE place to stay in Madrid. Super kind staff, nice spacious rooms and the best service you can hope for in a hotel. Recommended

  • 3/5 Mai B. 5 months ago on Google
The location is very accessible and convenient because it is between 2 bus stations. 2 stops from Atocha Main station. Sadly the room smells smoke from cigarettes. Although it was being clean everyday without us telling to do it. The internet is very slow, it is not helpful at all. And on our last night, we automatically disconnected to the internet and cannot connect anymore.

Used the hotel as part of a tour and was disappointed. Bathroom had mold, a/c did not work, blow dryer did not work, no iron available when requested from reception. Fridge was locked and no snacks or beverages were available in the room. Room was very dusty and noisy (outside). It also took a 15 min cab ride to get to the plaza mayor, which reception declines to call for the patrons. The bed was hard and lumpy.

Clean and well maintained but small room. Excellent location and staff. Great for being out in Madrid as it’s so central, but not a lot of space to work or relax in the room if that’s what your trip calls for.

  • 1/5 Cristian V. 6 months ago on Google
Worst service in the planet, there’s not people that can help you with the baggage. The staff does not open the door for you to bring in your suitcases. When the staff is going up the elevator they don't let you go up with them. The worst service that can exist in all the land.

  • 4/5 Ary E. 6 months ago on Google
Good hotel overall, the only things I noticed is the rooms are small in size. Plus, the rooms an hallways look somewhat old. Other than that, it looks clean, and rooms are quiet.

  • 3/5 Marc M. 5 months ago on Google
The hotel is dark and dismal. Looks like something out of a 70s horror movie, which I suspect was the last time the refurbished it. The breakfast buffet was just about the worst I've ever had.

There is a train station near this hotel, due to the time difference, I went on 23.11.2023 at 03.30 and the station was closed. I couldn't go back to the hotel I was staying at. I went to this hotel and asked, I have a 7-year-old son with me, it is cold, can we spend time here for two hours? I said I could also pay money. They didn't take us. Everything was closed in that cold weather, except for disco places etc. You can't go there with a child either. The child was cold and cried. The receptionist said that due to our company policy, we cannot let you in. It means that your company policy is insensitive to a child feeling cold outside. inhuman creatures.

Although the location is perfect, room and staff is good, it does absolutely not make up for the fact that the walls are paper thin. Therefore the hotel is not suitable for its primary purpose -sleeping. You can hear everything, and here I do not mean anything extraordinary like party next door, but like talking, baby crying, walking even... So all in all I would not stay here again.

This was a perfect location for one night in Madrid near the Atocha train station and Alamo car rentals, which is located at Atocha. We enjoyed the clean room. The breakfast buffet was delicious and very impressive and was included as part of our stay. I would definitely stay here again.

This hotel was perfect for our stay in Madrid. Walking distance to so many things or an easy Metro ride. Breakfast every morning was great and clean rooms and bathrooms! In a quiet location so perfect to come back to after a busy day in the main hub of Madrid, will recommend!!

Efficient, professional and friendly staff. Not my first time there, so I can safely say customer service is really good here. On the down side, housekeeping left some dirty towels in the tub. When you make it really late at night like we did, at around 23:00, this is a downer. They were immediately taken away, but that left us fearing the toilet could be not as thoroughly taken care of as you may naturally expect these days. In addition to that, no room service was available. We ordered some delivery, which was fine. You have to go down to the front desk to pick up your order, though. Doing that after a long day may very well be the last nail on your coffin. All that said, it's still my go-to place when taking early trains at Atocha.

Great, clean and well appointed room with a large, comfy bed and a spacious bathroom. Staff were extremely helpful, fluent in English, and accommodating, giving us a dinner recommendation and hailing an early morning taxi to the airport.

Worst hotel I have been for quality-price ratio. 150€ for a night in an old and noisy room (bad sound-proof between rooms). Old furniture, lights not working, uncomfortable bed... The only thing saving this hotel is its position close to Atocha.

Easy access to atocha train and metro. Terrific breakfast buffet for 11 euros. Little old but upgraded hotel. Close to park and other sites.

Very nice hotel situated close to Atocha railway station. Asked for a quiet room as was coming off a long haul flight and was pleased to say they honoured this. Ideal place to stay in Madrid, walking distance to Plaza Mayor. Would definitely recommend

4-star hotel with a retro style. It could do with a little makeover to live up to its stars. Clean, courteous staff, good breakfast.

  • 4/5 E E. 4 years ago on Google
This hotel was completely satisfactory. A standard room is smaller than average but the quality of the modern bathroom and flat screen TV make up for the small size. Staff cordial and spoke good English, not too far from Atocha metro/Ave station. You can walk from the station to the hotel if you don't have too much luggage.

Terrible hotel. The whole interior is extremely old. The decor, walls and carpet….everything is so dated it looks like something out of The Shining. The walls are paper thin and offer zero sound proofing. To paint you a picture, our next door neighbour’s phone vibrated and it was so loud we thought it was in our room. If somebody is talking at a normal volume in an adjacent room you can easily hear every single word, let alone if they happen to be noisy…It feels like they are inside your room. My wife saw a massive cockroach in the breakfast room next to the coffee machine. Staff was friendly but this place is a dump. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

I would give 5 stars, but we has trouble finding working outlets and the room service kept hanging up on us when we asked for a menu. The room was great, view was amazing, and the couch in our suite was cozy! The nearby city is great for walking around, with a hamburger restaurant across the street, market a few steps away, and more in walking distance!

A nice hotel with friendly staff. They failed to meet our request for a double bed for the first night but when they cleaned the room they noticed we had pushed the beds together. They rebedded to a double bed and got us extra towels for our baby and a babycot even though we didn' t ask for it. They even wrote us a cute little note to appologise for not having met our request for the first night! The breakfast was good but simple.

For touring downtown Madrid this is a good choice. Located at the south end of Retiro Park it's a pretty easy walk to many tourist locations and restaraunts at worse a short taxi ride. Keep in mind we found Madrid to be a very safe city. My wife and I walked the full length of Retiro Park between 1130pm and midnight. There were families celebrating birthdays, parents with strollers, dads teaching kids to ride bicycles, teenagers having fun, it was a real pleasure. So location, very good,. Room was clean, and while not large big enough. The mattress was excellent!!! Best we had our whole trip. On the not so good side, the wifi was useless. Which for foreign travelers is a major inconvenience. The showers are really small. The breakfast is good but for Spain a bit expensive at 18 euro each. Finally they could do better with the restaraunts/bar. This last might be unfair as we had been spoiled by amazing restaraunts for a week and only ate at Agumar the last night. Finally this is a nice facility in a great location, and we would return, with a bit more customer service it could be exceptional. A lot of opportunity here.

It's good for the price especially if you don't intend to spend a lot of time in your room. The location is very good close to the metro and retiro park. Needs renovation.

The rooms here are fine. Lobby is very fancy, lots of marble. The restaurant is fine but it's a bit more interesting to go out into the city. The location is good, very close to the train station.

Dated, but economical. This hotel likely hasn't seen a refresh since it was constructed probably in the early 1980s. It's everything you would expect from a 3 star hotel in Spain. The elevators are small and cramped. The bathrooms could use a refresh and the shower - while it has a larger tub than most hotels I've stayed at - are still challenging (try to keep the water from spilling out into the bathroom!) There is a mini-fridge with minibar and room enough for your own items. Wifi is not great and limited to only two devices. TV has a good selection of channels but you cannot connect your own device to it and stream your own content as the hotel menu locks you out. There is a large breakfast hall with a hot breakfast and large selection, which I recommend. And there's a restaurant in the lobby for a late dinner. There just isn't anything that's very impressive about this hotel. It's an OK local, near the Atocha train station, and while there are certain hotels nearer to the train station, this one is certainly the most economical.

Fantastic property! Highly recommended. We stayed only one night, but enjoyed our stay immensely. It's proximity to Estacion Atocha is awesome. It's about a 7 minute walk. The hotel also has a great number of amenities, as well as an excellent on-site bar and restaurant. When we return to Madrid, this is where we'll be staying!

Felt a bit duped by the man who booked me in. Said he couldn't get me a double bed and then he miraculously found the last room with a double bed for me, but what he failed to tell me was that it was dark and faced into a brick wall! Next time I will ask what is the difference between a room with twin beds and the double - as I would have preferred to have a view of at least some light in my room. He should have given me that information. He made it look like he was doing me a favour when in fact he gave me a very inferior room.

Good location for Atocha station and so therefore easily accessible from the airport. Good sized hotel and good spread for breakfast. Unfortunately the walls and ceiling and quite thin so any comings and goings will wake you up so just hope that your neighbours are considerate. There are no hot drink making facilities which I found to be the most annoying thing about the room, but you can pay 3.50 Euros for a can of coke from the mini fridge!

Worth the price. Very near to the Train station

  • 4/5 Diana R. 1 year ago on Google
The hotel is conveniently located walking distance to Atocha train station. The hotel was busy and serves tourists and business people alike. Nice breakfast buffet. Bathroom had an unpleasant odor, which I didn’t expect from hotel such as this. But I would book again anyway because it was the most reasonably priced hotel near the train station.

More like a cheap 2-star motel than a 4-star hotel. Rooms haven’t been updated in decades! Wallpaper & marble are showing stains, grout is wearing out, and overall is very dated. Service was fine and sheets were clean.
