This is a good hotel. We had a lovely time here. The room was excellent. We booked a family room and you may as well have called it a suite. The sofa in the separate lounge was my Son's bed and this was completely separate from our room. The roof top bar and staff here were excellent, even during a mini tornado! The view is amazing and the drinks are very good especially the Aperol! We ate a great cheese board and the pizza and burgers were good, if a little pricey. ..however..the ordering and paying process is a pain, If you are a resident you should be able to charge your room. The lifts are efficient and fast. The breakfast was great in terms of the food quality and choice, but I hate buffets generally, not their fault, but you always feel like you are fighting for your food. The pool is miniscule and not worth a visit, unless you are desperate to cool down. The location is excellent for everything in Madrid. We walked everywhere and it was a joy to return to the Riu.
