Went for lunch with a friend, we had the prawn linguine and Sicilian lemon tart along with a glass of wine. It was gorgeous, the linguine was seasoned to perfection and the lemon tart was zingy and tasty (although a little on the mean side, portion wise). Afterwards we ordered coffee which we had in the garden area, only quibble was coffee cup had large crack down the back of cup which was obviously an oversight on their part. Well worth a visit and will return.

Attended for Sunday lunch. I get it's busy but the portion supplied was 2 potatoes, 2 parsnips and 3 spices of meat and 3 mini carrots. When I politely asked for some greens the plate came back absolutely drowned in cabbage and broccoli to the point I couldn't see the plate, I mean I asked for it I suppose. I just think the kitchen staff showing their arse over what was a ridiculously small portion was a bit laughable. Lamb was nice thought but the potatoes were solid 😂 shame as the starters and desserts were OK enough

I'm very disappointed in the food. This time, it's usually good. Maybe the chef has changed. The prawn linguine had 1 small prawn in the whole dish, and the pasta was greasy. The sweetcorn and courgette fritters weren't cooked in the middle, so we're basically just stodge on the plate. Torfu kebab was very dry, not enough sauce. I usually leave good feedback for the punch bowl, but this time, it wasn't good. I'm not sure I will visit again for a while.

Me and my wife visited for my birthday on Saturday the 3rd. First impressions were great, really welcoming and organised from the start. Sit down order drinks all fine, we order our starters, my wife had the paťe and I had the goats cheese which was a 10, really nice. I ordered a gin and cucumber and it come with lime, for anyone who drinks gin, this really does make a difference. Especially for £10. I asked for a new one, they just took the lime out and put in cucumber so I had a flat/watered down from the ice lime/cucumber drink which I thought was poor. My main was lovely unfortunately my wife's duck was over cooked, so we decided to leave the desserts. However we did speak to a gentleman who ask for feedback and I could tell her really wanted to know my thoughts, after explaining he offered a discount which I really wasn't expecting and it really made the night and experience for us, this wouldn't be 4 stars if he didn't manage it the way he did. We will be back and if it an improved experience I will update the rating.

Really friendly staff and nice setting. The food was presented nice the only thing I would say is, I had the steak kebab and asked for it pink and it came out well done.

Not bad place. It used to be a typical pub called the Punchbowl with a typical pub menu. Now it's called EGO. It's a popular place with plenty of free parking in a quaint village setting. Reception on arrival is quick and friendly. Took us to our clean table straight away. Jugs of water appeared. No glasses and we had to goto the bar to get our own drinks. The bar staff are really helpful, chatty and engaging. I ordered the ribeye £26 medium. When the food arrived the steak was well done but really tasty. Can't fault it. The jugs of water are still there. Great place, great food. Just the jugs of water with no glasses and getting our own drinks knocked a star off

Good gluten free choices, including a range of desserts which is rare. They even have FreeDamm the gluten free, alcohol free beer - so I'm well looked after. Just need some variety in the early evening menu as it's getting a bit boring 🤷🏻‍♀️ a salad on this menu would be much appreciated 👍

Service was excellent but... Given a tiny table with a Shared starter that was basically all put in a fryer. A bit disappointed with this. Had a bottle of wine that we had to put on the floor as the was no room on the table. Placed near the kitchen where every time the door opened there was music blasting out. Quite expensive for what we had really. The table service we couldn't fault but won't be returning soon!

Came here for Lunch to celebrate my sisters birthday two adults and two children. Food was lovely and well presented and childrens menu available with a good selection. It did become a little busy, but it was managed very well and clearly shows how nice the food is. Would definitely recommend and will be coming back in the future.

Had a familly meal here tonight, excellent experience from start to finish. Food was absalutly lovely, steaks cooked perfect, staff went above and beyond to accommodate us and our children. I would like to give a special mention to Paddy, Hayley and Tom for going the extra mile with their customer service and making our evening special. Look forward to returning again soon! 🥰 x

We have been the punch bowl and enjoyed it st least half a dozen times. Today's visit was our last. Terribly long wait on food - was made up for by the food itself but the service was disgusting. I cannot explain how bad it was, my partner was left with an empty glass I'm front of her for an hour and in the end we were just desperate to go. So desperate, we stood up with the baby in the pram and were left there for 5 minutes until I actually approached our waitress and informed her we clearly would like the bill to leave. Will not be back

Amazing as always. We love the punchbowl! It's the type of place you go for a special occasion, birthday, anniversary, it's a bit more expensive than your normal pub but the quality of food is always amazing and the service is very attentive too. Food is quick but always the best quality, great selection of drinks too and they also have a great beer garden to enjoy a drink after your dinner and enjoy the countrywide surroundings

This is a regular reliable restaurant for us. Girls catch up night midweek and we were not rushed. Menu was good quality and good value. We also love that there is a dog friendly area too and often pop in with our pooch. The staff are genuinely friendly and make you feel so welcome.

Good selection of dishes. I chose fish cake for starters which was a bit bland and Moroccan lamb which was quite spicy. Ice cream ended the meal. Good food without being remarkable. Very busy place and quite noisy. Our server was great helpful and very attentive

Always have a good meal here, best to book as equally popular for lunch and evening dining. Extensive menu. Smaller lunch time bites, fixed prix, pizzas and main menu all on offer during day. Little bit more expensive than average pub grub but quality. Comfortable dining area, only issue on last visit were 4 members of staff who were having a heated discussion right next to us about service, didn't spoil visit but if something needs addressing, do it away from your customers.

Although the food was nice service was abit off. Ordered wine with meal told the one one i wanted was out of stock so ordered a different one which never came. so ended up eating half the meal with no wine until i could grab a staff member and ask what happened. Also we were served by five different members of staff which didnt help maybe they were having a bad night but its put me off going back.

Fantastic girls evening of laughs, delicious food & plenty of mocktails (driving!) - thank you so so much to the extremely polite, courteous, friendly & enthusiastic Paddy who served us all evening, the PERFECT host! Thank you also to Imogen and the team, all welcoming and helpful. Clean, spacious, warm and cosy surroundings. See you again soon!

First visit to this lovely pub today. Very welcoming and friendly staff. Food delicious, and beautifully presented. Staff made sure we were happy with food and service. Went out of their way to accommodate everyone in their chosen seating area despite being busy. We will certainly visit again.

We wanted to reserve a table for a small wake and Rob was so wonderfully helpful in booking us the private dining room. The team were so accommodating and helpful throughout our stay and couldn't do enough for us. The food was lovely, the service was brilliant. We were given the privacy we needed, but they popped in every now and again to see if we needed anything. We can't fault them at all. Rob should be very proud of his team! We will definitely be back x

A great place gorgeous a special treat, rather expensive for just "lunch". Surroundings very pleasant, no children running around. Peaceful until a screaming baby, very young, started.i cannot understand folk bringing such a little one to such a restaurant. Other than that, a very enjoyable time, staff pleasant and cooperative. Nothing too much trouble . Many thanks 😊

A nice pub with very friendly staff. There are lots of dishes to choose from with a separate vegan menu. Nice cocktails which were reasonably priced. It was a shame that on the day we visited there was a burst pipe in a nearby area so the restaurant was rammed, and our food took a long time. Nevertheless, the staff were more than apologetic, and you could tell everyone pulled in together to help eachother out. All in all a nice meal.

Went on Wednesday evening for husbands birthday. Extremely busy but enjoyed the meal food tasty good portions and served piping hot. Only criticism is side salad with starters very tired and limp looking. Service good apart from having to ask for more water 3 times .
