An agri-restaurant immersed in the Tuscan Maremma where you can certainly eat well and where the portions are right (personal opinion: perhaps the portions on the cutting boards could be slightly revised). Unfortunately there were a couple of episodes that ruined the beautiful place and good food a bit. The first when we were greeted as if only us were missing but we honestly didn't understand why (reservation at 9pm so the table could very well have been booked by others until 9pm). We arrived 5 minutes late from booking so it didn't even feel like we were crazy late. The second when at the table while we were asking questions about some dishes and the size of the meat, the owner got a little annoyed telling us that if we did this it wouldn't be okay because there are also other tables... I'm sorry but the customer has the right to ask for what he wants!! In his favor I say that he was very helpful in finding the type and size we requested (but the table part in my opinion should have been avoided) What I hoped to find by going to that place was an evening of total relaxation surrounded by nature but in some moments I felt like I was in a club in Milan where everyone is frenetic and in a hurry. It's really a shame because the place deserves it and the raw materials are really excellent and cooked well. I hope the owner understands that some of the reviews are or can be valuable for his business and that his attention to customers must be as special as his raw materials. RESPONSE TO THE OWNER: Evidently you are not a person who accepts criticism and/or suggestions to improve the environment in which the customer finds himself (this is always demonstrated by the responses you give to customers), sometimes a little humility would be appreciated instead of arrogance. Personally, I prefer constructive reviews with a minimum of criteria rather than giving a random 4 or 5 stars just because otherwise the owner will be disappointed. You are certainly not the only place in the area where you can taste good quality typical Tuscan dishes. Therefore my suggestion to customers is to carefully evaluate what the area offers before making a decision. The food is undoubtedly good here but if you want to spend a quiet evening during peak periods, consider it carefully.

It was lucky that Magliano was sold out, because I had to look for a restaurant a few kilometers away. That's how I discovered this gem. A quiet place immersed in the countryside. Good local cuisine (picci, wild boar, glione...) and excellent wines. Good service and courtesy. Compliments!

Didn't had a Reservation on a Saturday night (which we learned is a beginners mistake in Italy), 4 restaurants in Magliano weren't able to provide a table for two, but Orto 219 made it possible and we were very lucky we stranded there! Super quality of the dishes, very polite staff, reasonable pricing and mega ambiente. We will probably visit again!

Lovely concept, sloppy execution… While the raw products, decor and house wine shine, we were underwhelmed by the cooking, which was very oily, especially the pan veggies and lamb dishes. An additional minus point for the industrial bags of grano, which don’t fit the farm to table concept! EDIT: Following the answer from the owner of this establishment and visits to other similar Tuscan restaurants, I would suggest he spend less time lecturing unhappy customers and more time learning his grandmother’s recipes in order to meet competitors’ standards…

Genuine and spectacular food I started in this restaurant my holiday and I started with a smile. At the first, we taked cured meat, was very good. We ordered the main course, one of the best plate, pasta with vegetable and pesto, and a very good pasta with boar. For finishing a plate of meat wonderful. In this resteraunt you can taste all the best italian food, vegetable and meat. The wine was cheap, but a very good. The local is very nice. Higly recommended.

Had dinner at Orto 219 yesterday. First of all, the location is beautiful, from parking space via green entrance to an atmospheric romantic setting in the middle of the farm. Good menu, clear in terms of drinks, wine or water, and what more do you need?! Hospitality is also great here. Delicious regional dishes and the tiramisu is, as it should be, classic. Recommended if you are in this area! Thank you for a wonderfull evening

A place out of this world - FARM TO TABLE like in a book, beautiful scenery, very friendly and attentive staff... wonderful wine suggestions! We will come back for sure to see Federico amd his team, this place will stay in our memory.
