Renovation is work is partly complete and there are two heritage buildings one is still undergoing complete restoration as of Jan 2022. The property open for public is called Phulbagh palace at Mahishadal and took us an hour from Haldia city centre in a toto that we reserved and they charged INR200 per hour. Will be faster if you have your own vehicle. You can complete a tour of the palace come museum in 30 mins max. The area is quite big but a lot remains to be done to make the attraction novel. Only the frontal part of the building has been painted and you have to pay 15 rupees as entry fee, photography in the museum is not allowed which is actually 3 rooms...hastily put and lacks information or background stories for the enthusiasts. If its winter you can sit for a while in the open green space in front. Glad that we have taken a step to showcase our past to the public.

Perfect for a day trip.. though there is not too much thing to experience. But the place itself is nice. Close to kolkata. We started from krstopur at 10a.m, have breakfast at Sonar bangla, kolaghat, then straight to Mahisadal Rajbari, it takes 50min, after visiting there we go for geokhali. It's also a nice place to visit.

This Bengal palace is a place of culture and heritage, not known to many, but definitely worth a visit. We opted for a day package and lunch thali, for which you need to book prior hand. They even have an option for night stay. It also has a museum for tourists. Overall, a great place to be spent with friends and family basking in its royal heritage.

A good weekend tour place with family and friends. Just 3hour from kolkata. An eye catching, beautiful well maintained king's palace. There is an old palace and a new one. Experience the new one. Entry ticket price is rs 15 per person as on December 2022. Experience the real royal feeling,King's living room, shord, musical instruments, palki ect. Many bengali movies were shoot in this place. A huge garden and ground and many ponds are surrounded this palace. There is a huge mango trees garden called Amrokunjo. During Dol purnima a beautiful cultural program hosted in this place just like Santiniketon. Experience it's once.

We stayed here for a day in December'22. The rooms were spacious but the bathroom lacked amenities. We found a lots of mosquitos at night and the food was also pretty average. The only thing I loved is the grandeur of the palace at night after all the local tourists left the complex in the evening. The palace looks magnificent frrom outside but the interior lacked maintenance. Overall the experience was average at best.

A place of history is well preserved and used as a display of the glorious past of the area. Consider this being adjacent to Tamluk, Tamralipta of the yester era of prosperity and historical significance.

A perfect weekend trip to Haldia, Geonkhali. While you are at this place don't forget to visit Mahishadal Rajbari. This place is around 3hrs drive from Kolkata. There are two palaces- the old one is under maintainance and doesn't require ticket. The new one requires ticket of 15/- each and for car parking 20/-. There is enough space for parking. Entering into this palace you will be amazed to get a view of the preserved stuffed animals like leopard, tiger, bear, eagle, deer. No camera is allowed inside the palace. Only from outside you can click photo.

Mahishadal Rajbari is located in Mahishadal, a historical town in West Bengal’s Purba Medinipur district. The Mahishadal Rajbari is the residence of the Mahishadal Raj Gargs. The historic Mahishadal Raj palace is also called the Phool Bagh Palace. This structure was built in 1857 and is now dilapidated. It comprises two palaces ( the old one known as Rangi Basan Palace & new), a cutchery or court house, a ghat, and a massive Navaratna temple. Mahishadal Rajbari is an excellent weekend destination from Kolkata, particularly for history enthusiasts. The ticket price of the museum is Rs 10 per person (full charges apply for children above five years). Location:-Garh Kamalpur, West Bengal 721628

Heritage of Bengal Mahisadal rajbari is situation at Purba Medinipur district which is almost 2 hours+ long drive from Kolkata. The place being historic was once the residence of Mahishadal Raj Gargs. Hence, inside the rajbari there is a museum (around 30mins tour) which entails the belongings and passions of the raj gargs. Outside the place there is a large garden with beautiful scenic view, chairs and tables. The timing of the museum in the rajbari is around 10am to 6.00. Ticket prices per person is ₹20. There is a small cafe outside the main rajbari....where one can get chips, buiscuits and water. A gate also connects the rajbari with the natmandir and there is a beautiful waterside there..

Mahishadal Rajbari One name for grandeur, royalty and perfect blend with nature. This beautiful property is also known as Phulbagh Palace. We had our wonderful stay at this beautiful Rajbari. Location: Nearest station is Satish Samanta which is next to Tamluk station.. Rooms: 5 Rooms are there to stay at night.. we stayed at Nandini. The most expensive room is Kalyani. Food: They have a meal package. Foods have to be ordered the day before check in. Usually they will call you to take your lunch order. Check-in 12pm Check out 10 am Unlike Itachuna Rajbari this Rajbari is open for day trips. They have a beautiful museum with all sorts of artefacts preserved carefully. This museum and the outside premises remain busier during the day.. As the museum remains open from 10am to 6pm. You can take a stroll to the older Rajbari and Gopal Mandir during evening. Though we went there during our morning walk. We spent the evening looking at the majestic view of the Architecture with steaming hot pakoras and tea. Both lunch and dinner were filled with royalty. Everything was taken care of by the Manager (Suman Babu). Each and every staff member were so cooperative and kind.

Very courteous and friendly staff. Rooms are big with all modern amenities including mini fridge. Food was delicious and was presented in a grand manner. We were shown around the property in a guided tour manner. The area is big enough to explore and enjoy for a full day. Really enjoyed our stay

The location is good. Appx 120-140 km from kolkata. By road it will take 3.5 hr .Compared to other over hyped Rajbaris , this one is budget friendly. A big area with cultural heritage and history. It's perfect one day stay. A perfect location for photoshoot. Room was clean. Food was also good. But don't compare it with kolkata's bengali restaurants. They are old local people who have been working there for 30-40 years or more than that. So cooking style is a bit different. Manager is a nice person. Others are also helpful. Definitely a good option for one day tour.

Rajbari now turned to a hotel as well,it is beautiful and rich in heritage. The rajbari is turned into a museum. Entry fee is Rs 15 and we had to open our shoes(₹2 for keeping shoes) and go inside. It has 5 rooms which are accessible to the visitors. Photography is not allowed inside.

Popularly known as Fulbaag Palace, established in around 1934-1935 by King Satiprasad Garga bahadur. Palace's design is awesome. In its ground floor there is an iconic historical museum. Now, to see this museum, the entry fee is 15/- per each. To know how incredible place it is, take a short trip here that'll definitely amaze you.

HERITAGE OF BENGAL MAHISADAL RAJBARI situation at Purba Medinipur district. almost 3 hours+ long drive from Kolkata. Inside the Rajbari there is a museum (around 30mins tour). Outside the place there is a large garden with beautiful scenic view, chairs and tables. The timing of the museum in the rajbari is around 10AM TO 6.00 OR 6.30PM. On rainy days roads to the pond and natmandir becomes thrilling. However, entrace road to this Rajbari is quite narrow and ofen there gets a traffic jam on weekends. But people visiting kolaghat or near purba mednipur shall once visit this rajbari for a day-tour. Unlike other Rajbari It is well maintained till now.

Mahishadal Rajbari Museum was a great experience. The ticket 🎟 price was 20/person. You can spend time as long as you want. People can visit this place, especially in wintertime. You also can do picnic in the Rajbari Garden but you have to pay 100 as ticket price.

A excellent place for spent weekend with family and friends. There is ferry service ( lunch service) to cross the river.Neither there is any arrangement of food or water. It is an ancient palace where the king's used sword and gun are stored. There is a huge chariot next to it and it is drawn every year and the king's descendants inaugurated it. There is also a temple beside it and a garden, ful mango trees

If I do not explore this great historical Mahishadal Rajbari that will be a huge mistake to know the history of our state. Every guardian should visit with his child to learn the practical lesson of our rich history. Education department should also take necessary action to visit all the school children here. Please arrange some food stalls and rest shed for the child and elderly people if they needed. Some staircase should fecilited to use elderly including ramps to use physically challenged person or students. A light and sound live history should included in the front of the palace. Heritage Authorities should involved immediately as the old piano and some many more priceless things are out of recognition. The staffed animals room or the kings Sikar room should be more spacious. Visitors are also get scope to see the first floor of this historic Rajbari. I respect and love it.

It's really amazing experience. The swords, hunted wild animals, their dinning room etc are very neat and clean. Seemed just a memory of few years ago. From children to adult both can feel/experience the ancient life/culture of our history of Indian kingdom.

Well they only show you the ground floor of the building ..nothing unique or much to see except for the vastness of the property and beautiful architecture of the rajbari.... for me only the stuffed hunted animal section is good but still the entire section felt very less maintained and dusty.

Few days back Me and my friends planned a short trip to Mahishadal Rajbari as we wanted to experience a zamindari hospitality. It's 109km away from Kolkata and takes 2hours. This palace is surrounded with greenery. You can plan for a day tour or you can book a Homestay as well. The rooms are spacious yet royal and classy. The dining hall was quite big and was giving the proper zamindari feel. Apart from this the main attraction of this palace is their museum. Room prices starting from 3000+12% gst. The staffs are attentive and well mannered. The palace has a lot of picturesque corners too. My trip to Mahishadal Rajbari was a success for sure. Recommending to book a stay here.

The house looked beautiful with antique furniture in display... There's a total of 5 rooms, that are opened to public, each showcasing various things used by the rajas of the area. Weekends are a little bit crowded with 10 rs entry fee.

It is a historical place of 350 years old. The original palace has been damaged with aging. Govt is not maintaining. The new palace is being maintained by Royal Family.

Very nice place for a weekend trip. Very serene as well as magnificent. But maintenance is very poor. A lot could have been done in the huge open area in front of the palace. We went by car and road was very good. Overall experience was memorable!
