I booked 7 nights at this hotel and couldn’t stay even 1 night. We arrived late at night and as a courtesy they stated that they have upgraded us to an executive room, little did we know that this was all an act to hide the abysmal state of the hotel. This review is based only on the room we checked into as we never visited the other areas within the hotel. Firstly, the pictures are very deceiving. As soon as we entered the room we were shocked. The hygiene standards are so poor. The tap was rusting and the toilet seat was filthy. The bins had so much rubbish left from the previous guest and there were rat pellets on the wall behind the table. The walls are stained and needs repainting. What’s worst is we accidentally used our key for the wrong door and it went green. Could you imagine the disaster?! On arrival, we were given only 1 keycard, when we requested for a second card they stated if my partner wants to come up they can get a staff member to escort and open the door. It’s ridiculous. There was no way my wife and I could stay at this hotel. At midnight, we were on the streets looking for a better hotel. Luckily, we found and immediately booked a much nicer hotel then returned to Xaysomboun to check out. This experience could have ruined our trip but we are enjoying our 7-days in Laos now.

I reserve this hotel thinking it was a four-star hotel but by Western standard this is like a two-star hotel, the phone was disconnected no cable connected to it in the room and the TV and the refrigerator were all disconnected from the outlet. However the area is okay you are near the clubs and mall and walkable places nearby.

We stayed 2 nights at the hotel. It is excellently located fairly centrally in the city. We have been fairly satisfied with the stay. The breakfast was really good and the selection large. Wifi has worked well. The room and bathroom were clean and there was a good shower and plenty of hot water. But it detracts a lot from the fact that there is no correspondence between the pictures shown on the order page and the reality. We had booked a junior suite but got a room that looked more like a standard room. It was under no circumstances a suite-like room. The room also showed the signs of many years of wear and tear. The TV had a poor antenna signal and the security box didn't work either. Also be aware that you should not eat breakfast later than 0830 because at exactly 0900 they switch off the warm breakfast dishes and start clearing out, not noticing that people are still sitting and eating.

I stayed here from November 10 to November 14 2023, and I have to honestly say it was an amazing experience. The staffs and managers were very nice and friendly which makes it welcoming for us. The rooms are really nice and well kept. For the duration that I stayed, the service was great, all the complimentary items were replenished daily which was awesome because I didn’t have to go around asking for it. The free complimentary breakfast was really good and it was different every day. The pool was well kept and maintained, it was so fun to swim in it because it was on a rooftop and you can see the stars at night or the street view if you are sitting and just enjoying the view. The gym is right next to the pool so that was super convenient as well. They also have laundry service too, which was a great added bonus for me. The restaurant next door to the hotel is amazing, the options are plentiful and it was really good. The hotel is central to a lot of great things such as the flea market, shopping centers, street food stalls and even the night market! Overall I had a great experience here and I will definitely be staying here again when I come back to Vientiane, Laos.

It more of 2.5 star hotel, not the 4 star as advertised. So I was disappointed. Not sure they get 4 star and the good reviews. We were in standard room. The hotel is dated and rooms need upgrade especially the bathroom. The shower leaks water out from the shower area. Maybe the premium room is better. However, Good location, close to morning market and about 0.5 miles to river area. Staff was friendly and helpful. It is owned by Vietnamese so their Lao is not the best.

Everything was great at this hotel. The rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. The hot water is very hot and the water pressure is high! The pool is great. The wifi is fast. Most importantly, the staff is very friendly and professional. They will exceed your expectations and help you in any way they can. The included breakfast buffet was also very good every day ! Highly recommend this beautiful hotel to everyone!

Had a great 2 day stay here. The room was really big and the staff are very friendly. They have a pool and a small gym. The best part was the breakfast which has some great selections and lots of fruits. Definitely one of the better hotel breakfast I’ve had.

We had an unpleasant stay at xaysomboun boutique hotel . The rooms are renovated but not clean and not well finished with some dangerous item sticking out of the walls The bathroom have an awful smell !!!! Breakfast is really basic !! We had to deal twice with staff getting in our room without knocking the door for cleaning and maintenance at 9 am In my opinion it's overpriced for the quality and doesn't deserve to call itself "boutique hotel" No parking spot for customers Reception are friendly and its the only good point i fund

I do not recommend this place, the rooms are outdated and there is filth everywhere around the hotel. There elevator is constantly wet and lots of debris and an awful smell. I don't agree with Expedia 8.0 rating. I would give them a 4.5 rating. The lobby entrance was filthy with debris from constant garbage trucks and people carrying garbage out their main entrance. The lobby floor had an awkward smell. After the rain you while think they clean up but they don't, not at all. The hotel has no parking for it car. The breakfast is had very few choices and their food did not taste fresh. I could go on and on but but I think I said enough. Don't spent your money on this place.

Stayed here for one night when flying out of Laos. Hotel was alright and fit for purpose. They were carrying out renovations when we were there as the hotel had recently exchanged owners. The pool was nice and the hotel is located close to the night market.

Very good location, friendly staff but not professional. They confused our booking with another group from the same agent. The problem has been solved but I am not satisfied at all.

Room was not clean , air condition dose not work , good thing is good staff , breakfast is sick, drinking water in the room is not good quality

I was there for quarantine. Staff very friendly and helpful, rooms are very confortable, good location in center town. The pool seems good and they have a massage service but I couldn’t use it because of quarantine. This hotel is good too for the price !

We stayed for 3 nights. Room 219 was clean, spacious with OK furnishing. Room is right next to service room and thus a bit noisy. Shower was great, but drainage issues flooded water in rest of bathroom. Breakfast was good. Gym is basic, but enough for a decent workout. Pool was clean. Most umbrellas were broken though. Staff was friendly and helpful. Most front desk people spoke good English.

We only stayed one night in Vientiane but the hotel had a great location. We walked everywhere and enjoyed the pool. The room was clean, comfortable and a good size. There’s big construction going on across the street so it was noisier than usual. We thought we’d see more of the river but the “river front” walk is not on the river at all.

5 nights here. Very good breakfast with many options. Pool is very clean and nice to spend the afternoon with included towel service. Lobby comfortable and clean. Room was rather dusty when we arrived, but when housekeeping cleaned the next day it was cleaned up nicely. Beds and room comfortable with enough room in our family room. AC works, but won’t freeze you out if that is what you are looking for. 15 minutes walk to river front with a few local food options within 5 minutes walk and also a little grocery store also close by. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Minor thing, fridge in room is full of mini-bar items, though which I’d prefer to have available for my own few things. Would stay here again.

This is ASQ hotel during COVID-19 pandamic. Nice and convenient room. They have WIFI, but pls do not expect too much on the speed. For facility, I have no idea coz I am living only in the room. Nice and very polite staff.

Absolutely marvellous French style hotel in Vientiane Laos. All superb from bed to breakfast buffet. The Jacuzzi is very special one in this hotel. Laos massage here is excellent. All staff from receiving until send off are amazing people. Loving people and caring staff waiting for you.

The place was good, the food was good and staff were awesome

The hotel is in the city center, the room is spacious, clean and comfortable. The reception staff is lovely and helpful when we ask for help with sightseeing or calling a taxi. And another thing is that the breakfast is very nice and there are many, if you are going to stay in Vientiane, I recommend this Hotel is Xaysomboun Boutique Hotel.
