Darshana Tours organized a 12-day round trip in Sri Lanka for our family of 7 (4 adults + 3 children with ages 9, 7 and 6), starting and ending in Negombo. Our driver on this trip was Dushan. While this was our first time organizing a trip with a private driver, we are delighted that we did so for many reasons. First and foremost, Dushan was amazing and much more than our driver. He was almost an integral part of our family during this trip by making sure that our satisfaction came first, that our kids were taken care of, that we had pictures of our family at the best view points, ... Additionally, he was always on time and super flexible in making arrangements for everything (activities, lunch, dinner, shopping, ...) during our trip. Stuti, Dushan! Second, Darshana Tours appears to know all the right places. They know exactly what to visit where based on your preferences, and how to nit-piece these activities together based on the time that you have available. Additionally, they are very flexible in adjusting the schedule, which results in a highly satisfactory and personalized trip. Finally, driving conditions in Sri Lanka are not straightforward (left-side driving, small and steep roads, lots of tuc tuc's on the road, lots of large busses and trucks on the road, non-English road signs, ...). While we feel confident that we could have driven ourselves, we are convinced that we could not have advanced as efficiently and effectively as with Dushan. We would have spent a lot more time on the road, both to navigate as well as by being stuck in traffic. Additionally, we now had a lot more time to quietly enjoy the beautiful landscapes and sceneries in Sri Lanka from the back of the mini-van. In conclusion, we would definitely recommend Darshana Tours, Darshana and Dushan to anyone who considers visiting Sri Lanka!

We just returned from a 11-day trip from Colombo to Galle Fort, Mirissa, Udawalawa, Ella, Kandy, Dambulla, Sigiriya, and Polonnaruwa, which was perfectly planned by Darshana. Our guide, Hashu, who we now consider a friend, added so much to our Sri-Lankan experience and made this trip one to remember. Hashu is a very safe driver and was welcoming and helpful. Best tour guides in Sri Lanka! After contacting Darshana he answered quickly and crafted the perfect itinerary for my 8D/7N trip. The best guide I’ve ever had! Darshana is the best guide in Sri Lanka! We spent 8 days together with him. He looked after us all the time, made sure that we felt well. He cared for my parents a lot, he chose the right places for sightseeing. He has an air-conditioned car, always take care of our safety. It is worth trusting him - he finds the best solutions. I recommend it if you travel with children or family. I also recommend booking accommodation with him during the trip, it is much better than on booking.com. He always had better prices for us. Negombo day tour. Suneth was helpful throughout the trip. The boat dutch canal tour was the favourite. The boat driver was knowledgable to point out the ecosystem of the area. Got to try local fruits at the market and visited a variety of churches and temples. The team kept me well informed. You wont be dissapointed. i wish them well and hope others pay a visit to sri lanka. It looks rough around the edges but people are friendly.

We first contacted Darshana in 2020 to arrange our trip to Sri Lanka but due to the Covid & financial crisis, we had to postpone our trip three times. Darshana was in contact throughout and was incredibly flexible with our ever-changing plans. We wanted a driver for the first two weeks of a month long trip. We had a basic itinerary of what we wanted to do and he helped us plan the best route to include it all. Our driver Suneth was AMAZING! Incredibly friendly, knowledgeable & funny. He was a very safe driver and the car was spotless and comfortable. As well as keeping to our itinerary, he suggested other places along the route and took us to some great local (and spicy) food places! Within a couple of days we felt like we were travelling with a friend and were genuinely sad to say goodbye to him at the end of the tour. We had the most amazing time in Sri Lanka, which wouldn't be possible without Darshana Tours. I contact Darshana a few months ago when we were first planning our trip, who kindly put together an itinerary for 7nights/8days, including accommodation and entrance fees for the different places, and we couldn't have made a better choice. *Private small tour* We were in Sri Lanka for 2 weeks in September and had planned a short 4-day tour for this stay in which we wanted to see as much of the beautiful country as possible. While looking for a private driver, we came across Darshana through TripAdvisor. The contact was very uncomplicated and pleasant. Communication took place via WhatsApp. After we shared our wishes and which sights and places we definitely wanted to visit, Darshana put together an individual tour for us. All entrance fees, travel, taxes and overnight stays were included in the total price. There was both an offer with higher-class hotels (slightly more expensive) and an offer with cheaper hotels. We chose the first option and were absolutely thrilled with the accommodations. From the first to the last day of the tour we felt completely at home at Darshana. Every little thing was well planned and along the way Darshana told us endless things about Sri Lanka. A tour with Darshana Tours is a must if you are in Sri Lanka. It was consistently impressive and a lot of fun. The number of days is of course completely flexible. Unfortunately we only had 4 days. Next time it will be longer! Full recommendation from our side!

We just finished our tour of 9 days in the north and the cultural triangle of Sri Lanka with Suneth. It was a great experience for us. As a couple it was the first time that we booked with a driver and guide, we normally travel independently. But we are so happy we choose for Darshana Tours. From the first contact with Darshana everything went smoothly and we put together a trip after our preferences. During the days there was a lot of flexibility, e.g. what places to visit when, which restaurants and at what time. We really liked that. The hotels that were picked were great as well! Our driver and guide Suneth was the best! We learned a lot from him about the country, not only the cultural and natural sights but also everyday life. We laughed a lot and in the end it was like traveling with friends. He also gave us lots of tips for our onward travel in the hills and the south. Also I am four months pregnant and Suneth made sure that everything was the most comfortable for me. From driving very carefully to making sure we got comfortable jeeps for the safari. Even Suneth’s wife gave him some sandwiches for my morning sickness. We would definitely recommend booking with Darshana Tours and will do so if we come back to Sri Lanka in the future! Darshana was the best tour guide/driver we've ever had! I contacted several companies and he responded quickly with a thorough , well thought out itinerary for our 8 day tour of Sri Lanka. We had a few ideas of things we definitely wanted to do and see and he quickly filled in all the gaps with several ideas and suggestions of local experiences that we would never have known about without his input and local knowledge. My husband and I travel a lot and have had multiple trips like this with a private driver/tour guide. Darshana was by far the best we've ever had. He was timely, thoughtful, helpful, knowledgeable and so easy to spend time with. By the end of the trip, we felt like we had been traveling with a friend. I contacted Darshana on a very early time previous to our arrival. We were 13 people traveling as a group. He worked at night so he was able to offer us best options we could have gotten. Services were high, friendship level even higher. Whatever group neded it we got it. Daily tours were long but the team was very kind to us and patient. Definitely will come back in Sri Lanka with a round trip in partnership with Darshana. If you looking to a better approach on locals in Sri Lanka I advise you to take services provided by Darshana. Our HONEST review! Nothing could have topped our first time in Sri Lanka! I know it’s always hard to base your choice on other people’s reviews, but I PROMISE, please stop looking further & just choose Darshana Tours already! Darsha was our driver, and what an amazing, humble & kind person he is! More than just a “tour guide”, he immediately became our close friend. We didn’t had much time and wanted to see as many highlights in Sri Lanka within 7 days. He suggested the best 7 days itinerary, suggested the best hotels within our budget, suggested the most instagram-able places for pictures, suggested the best restaurants & food and our whole experience was based on his recommendations. Darsha and his drivers know Sri Lanka by heart, they’re locals, and there is NO way we could have had the same experience if we had to organize everything ourselves. The car is comfortable and cleaned every single day. He was always 15 min before on time (even though we were sometimes a bit late in the morning, sorry Darsha! ). He’s a pro at understanding when to give you space & time alone, but we enjoyed his company a lot! I can literally write a whole essay about how amazing this trip was, but if you’re still reading this, you should be convinced by now!

Had a spare 9 days , got in touch with Darshana tours to request a itinerary that would take in a few sites and experiences that I have not done before , he arranged white water rafting and a few other areas of interest to my needs . Since my last visit the tour guide as purchased a new vehicle which was comfortable and could accommodate 4 people. The driver was included in the cost of the hire and was polite and knowledgable throughout my short stay. I will be returning again and will use the tour company again because I felt safe with the tour company and driver through out my visit which ended with them dropping me off at the airport , pick up and drop off was included. They arranged all accommodation on the tour to suit my price range.

Awesome 10 days trip We spent 10 days traveling with Darshana in Sri Lanka and it has been one of the best trips of our lives! Amazing 14 Days Trip Around Sri Lanka From the minute we landed and met our Driver Hasi, who greeted us with a beautiful lei, to the final farewell, we have been very well taken care of. This was my first trip to Sri Lanka and my husbands 2nd and I have to say it has been one of our most enjoyable holidays we’ve ever done! Darshna tours has been incredible from day 1! At the time of booking we shared the accommodations we were staying at and from that Darshna prepared an itinerary. As I love holidays and researching, we had booked all our hotels based on what I had read from other blogs etc however Darshna sorted all activities for us, including train ride from Ella to Nuware Eliya, safari at Minneriya park and much much more! Our driver Ranil has been absolutely incredible! Ketan and I have had such fun with him along the way, he’s really become our friend! When you’re travelling for over 7 days with someone it’s really nice to have interesting conversations and get to know one another. Ranil is very humble and incredibly honest, he guided us on what to do and what not to do when travelling and really took good care of us! Thank you! Without Darshna tours we would have been completely lost, even if I did do a lot of research 🙈 this is the BEST way to travel in Sri Lanka!

6-day spit tour The first 4 days of our stay in Sri Lanka we had a wonderful experience with Darshana, who in so little time got us to see so many things. With amazing service and with endless suggestions to making the perfect trip, he made the days very easy and well planned. After 4 amazing and eventfull days, he dropped us off at a surf camp where we would be for a week. After some surfing we still had 2 days left in Sri Lanka where we had nothing planned. We liked Darshana's service so much that we wrote to him again. And within a day he had planned and organized a epic 2 day tour, with our new and hilarious guide Suŋeth! 10/10 would always recommend!
