    Very beautiful place.... Maa Narmada flowing in front of the fort. Temples, handloom centre, boating (till Sahasradhaara - group is recommended ) Everything is very beautiful. One can spend hours looking at Narmada🙏 Ahilyabhai Holkar museum is also good. Entry to museum is free

    Its a great & old authentic place of MP state. It was kingdom of Ahalya Ji devotee of Shiv Bhagwan. Near by big Narmada River and good food places. I would recommend this place for friends & family outing

    Maheshwar, not actually a big tourist spot, is a small town in the Khargone Dist. of Madhya Pradesh. It is situated at a distance of around 90 kilometers from Indore and is situated at the northern banks of Narmada River!

    It is nice fort having great architecture and contain lots of temples in it. The fort is small but the beauty and scenic view of holy river Narmada from top of the fort is awesome and worthy. Maheshwar is great place if you are planning one day vacation. Chilling on the bank of Narmada at night is more fabulous.

    Maheshwar fort build by devi ahilya bai holkar to shift her capital from indore to here . It's a peaceful place at the bank of Holly river narmada.
