Excellent service, employees were very nice, but the food was so disappointing and over priced. My avocado on toast was tepid, watery, had a paper thin layer of avocado, salad was wilted and unseasoned, and it cost 8.25£!!!!

Stunning place for any occasion while shopping the busy streets of Maidstone. In the picture we had the afternoon tea for 2 which cost £10:95. Certainly worth every penny. Great customer service. Outside seating as well.

Always enjoy coming here for brunch wuth my son. Staff are friendly, kids menu is great and the food is also yummy! Clean, professional and family friendly place. Definitely recommend

If I could give 0 start I would! Shocking service!! I visited this morning with my sister, after we ordered we waited for 30 minutes without anyone coming to us asking if we wantef a drink / or give an update on our food. 3 staff were stood laughing messing around behind the counter. Making us very uncomfortable. They behaved like children not caring about us or the other customers whatsoever. After 30 minutes I had to ask where my food was. They brought it out within 2 minutes. I assume they were too busy messing around they didn't realise my food was ready left on the kitchen side. After that they made me feel very uncomfortable saying " enjoy it " I couldn't wait to get out from there. I have been there before and always had a great time. After this will not go back that's for sure.

When it's nice you do it twice. Had another treat at Patisserie Valerie but this time at Maidstone. The cheesecake was so good didn't get a chance to take a photo. Enjoyed it with hot chocolate.

Popped into the Maidstone branch in Fremlin Walk for lunch, we were seated quickly and given our menus by Adam, who was polite and knowledgeable about all the various choices on the menu. We had our fussy 4-year-old grandson with us, who had baked beans on toast with scrambled egg, while we had a vegetarian Croque Monsieur. Great food, great service and a nice atmosphere. Thank you to Adam and the rest of the team on the day.

I had lunch today with my family, usual they are busy but always has time to look after us, service is 10/10 and food also. Staff is very lovely and always working with big smile!

I had a nice lunch there. Sandwiches were freshly made and tasty. Good coffee. But I bought some cake to take home and it had dried out, clearly it had not been cut that day. Maybe it was that the cake was taken from the window display rather than the one I pointed to behind the counter.

Service was excellent can't fault that. But the food was a little disappointing. Cheese and tomato croissant was similar to what you'd get on a short haul flight. Nice but microwaved. Scone was hard and also very small. Overall a bit disappointing, not what pat val used to be.

Delicious afternoon tea with lovely warm scones, good friendly service, would have been nice to be a bit more festive perhaps with decorations and some Christmas background music as it was mid December.

Had avocado on toast, which was OK though very frugal portion. One slice of toast with a bare minimum of avocado and the salad was wilted and brown, not even fit for pigs. And that one slice cost £8.95! Used to be good but won't go there again now.

Lovely café/ small restaurant. Staff were lovely and friendly and very attentive and caring. The large traditional breakfast was very nice, sausages could have been a bit better quality but that's being picky. The eggs royale was presented beautifully and was great. Drinks were also top quality. Would be 5 stars however the prices were slightly steep. £35 for a small breakfast and a drink each was a little extortionate in my opinion. Also the only toilet in the restaurant was blocked and unusable even though it was not blocked off, wouldn't be an issue if there were more toilets. Good experience all round and great for a treat.

The carrot cake was not good, the iced tea was extremely small. The service was courteous but only showed up once even though the location was practically empty.

As last time I was there, cake had to be returned because the sponge was hard! Worse, I had to use the disabled toilet, which was filthy. It clearly hadn't been cleaned for a significant amount of time. What's even worse is that the red emergency cord had been completely removed. Cannot recommend any longer sadly. Have been a loyal customer since it first opened. Will not return

Had ome very nice coffees in store and decided to take some cakes home. We came home with four pieces of stale cakes in four different flavours. There were so many cakes to choose from, both displays were so stocked up so why decide to give me the stale cakes? Probably because it was take away and people rarely returns food unless eaten in the restaurant
