Checking in was possible even in the middle of the night and were greeted with complementary water. they have a lift and well working WiFi I don't know why many said that the location is good. several locals told us that we should not be here and not stay in that hotel as the area is not safe at all and a slum. the road is sooo filthy, stray dogs and cows everywhere and the road is always blocked and busy. the whole hotel rooms have thin walls so you hear the neighbours recapping their day. The room is very small, ac is centrally controlled and you cannot change the temperature. same goes for hot water you have to tell the reception in advance and because the room phone was not working you can run up and down quite lot. the towels are old rugs, the bed sheets were dirty and the bathroom and sink where like 50% cleaned, no attention to detail. one day i wanted a plate to eat food i had ordered for, so i went down to the reception and asked for it, instead of giving me the plate directly, he let me return to the room, arrived 20 seconds later with the plate and asked for a tip.... and while we were there, there was some construction work going on inside the building.

Probably the worst hotel I stayed at. The walls should be repainted, the Bed Head Part fixed (artificial leather was ripped). It was very little space and the bed was too short for even a below average European man. The worst thing was, which resulted in me taking a different hotel after 3 days was, that every night after midnight, people were shouting, screaming, talking throughout the whole floor. Reception didn't do anything about it. Doors were incredibly loud while being shut (which happened a lot). I would not advise any European to stay there. There are many better options.

This hotel wasn't so great. We booked 3 nights and stayed 1. The staff wasn't helpful or kind right from the start. It was 4 young boys who checked us in (one of whom was sleeping when we arrived). We didn't receive enough towels for 2 people and our request for another seemed to bother them immensely. They had a terrible demeanor, bad vibes, and weren't helpful. The room was mostly clean, but it wasn't as pleasant as it looks like in the photos. Breakfast was included and it was haphazardly put together with things looking a bit disheveled and unhygienic. I didn't touch any of it. The woman who we spoke to when we left early seemed very nice and was sad we were leaving. But this wasn't a very welcome experience overall (enough to make us leave) and didn't feel like a nice place to call home during our stay in Delhi. Hopefully things will improve in the future. Also, the key card you receive works for all of the other rooms. So that doesn't seem very secure...nothing happened to our stuff, but that's not a comforting feeling.

They stole my s Levis shirt(2500₹) Xiaomi power bank for a (5000₹) and a super fast charger. Came 5 people of staff in 2 o'clock, woke up, at night and through us on the street, threatening. I understand that was the plan to rob us. I ask them to call police many times, they refused. Totally corrupted place, hope they will burn in hell

Horrible. It was very very very noisy every night. Do NOT go there If you ever want to sleep. People next door and staff where talking and screaming all night. Until 4 a.m. and further. Housekeeping comes Into the room at 8.a.m. WITHOUT Knocking!!!! I've been to a Lot of hotels but never ever have i been to Something as bad.

Very bad experience, the room smelled extremely like smoke, the bathroom was dirty and the water smelled exytemely bad, we were not able to shower, the breakfast was also very bad and the food was cold, the neighbourhood was very loud, please don’t be fooled by the fake 5-star reviews And it is also a very insecure place to stay. We realised that we could open every single room with our room keycard.

One of the best hotels in the lane of paharganj... Small yet comfy clean rooms. Good service. The owner is very helpful. Do book this hotel as it's best from others. Located on the main road. Once you visit this lane you would definitely understand. Especially if you are a female solo traveler this hotel is very safe to stay in.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at a marvelous 🏨 that left me utterly impressed. From the moment I walked through the elegant entrance, I was greeted by the warmest smiles of the staff✨, creating an immediate sense of hospitality. The hotel's interior was tastefully designed🤍, exuding a perfect blend of luxury and comfort. The rooms were impeccably clean, and the attention to detail in the decor was remarkable

Stayed in this hotel for three days as part of Govt.of Assam's program in Delhi. From my personal experience, I would like to recommend this hotel for others. In terms of food, Room service, cleanliness, location as well as behavior of hotel managers , I'll strongly recommend this hotel for others. Im comparison with other hotels in Paharganj, this City Empire hotel is much better for comfort accommodation.

Accommodation is situated in a verb busy, noisy, and dirty street. Hotel rooms are a bit small, and some of the facilities were not very clean. Rooms were cold and they did not have extra blankets. There are no tables in the rooms so you have to eat at the public sitting area on the top floor. Ate dinner most evenings at the hotel and everything was delicious. You can ask to hire a driver through the hotel for the day. Staff were very friendly and attentive.

The photos are miss leading from the booking pages and date from when they was first re renovated. Do not expect a light and airy room. Hot water was hit and miss. First day none at midday, second good and only lasted a short amount of time. Several power cuts from the fuse board tripping. Breakfast mediocre. Room had no window and soundproofing no existent. The noise from the hallway, especially at weekends was unbearable. I had the miss fortune to met Mr Singh the owner of the hotel and his boisterous attitude. I would put all these points at his thought as he is the owner of the hotel. Lady Ranjana and staff was helpful and kind, especially the Nepali doorman. Very close to New Delhi Railway Station.

I recently stayed at Hotel City Empire, and I had a fantastic experience! The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the location was convenient for exploring the city. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great place to stay.

I had a great experience staying at City Empire with my family. The rooms are good but the service and location are even more great; especially Ranjana Mam at front desk is very polite, sweet and very helpful. We overall had a positive stay.

Room cleaning,tv,ac all ok but price of food is very high.. Staff behaviour also ok. I stayed for 2 days and felt that Room price is too high as compair to others. i got a room of rs2500. There is no more amendies other than T/V , wi-fi, a/c, hot-cool water in a room..

Value for money hotel. Stayed here for 2 nights. Location is walkable from ND railway station. All the popular eateries are stone throw away from this place. Rooms are not spacious but clean. Wash room was hygiene. Overall 4.5/5

I am giving it a "4" star because of one reason. There is not an hot water for showers. It does sort of get warming but not enough. Otherwise it would be a good "5" star rating. The staff is very friendly, very polite and helpful.. The food here is worth the saty just to eat it. It is best I've had since I arrived in New Delhi, with the exception of one. The food at their other hotel is very excellent as well. I highly recommend at least earing at either restaurant. For rooms, Prime Delhi is more costly but most of the rooms are very nice with a big window, A/C , etc.. The staff at the Prime Delhi are all very professional and very friendly. The owner, Mr. "SING" and his son are superb and it is always a pleasure to talk to. Their hotels are little bit higher for some budgets but thr rooms were worth it. Thank you so much.

I and 2 other mates stayed here in our trip to India. It's all our first time in the country and Delhi. We really appreciate the service the hotel gave us from airport pick up to helping us plan our 17 day trip around India. Madam Ranjana was very approachable and accommodating. She helped us create an itinerary at a very reasonable cost which included car rental and driver and toll fees in the costing. The drivers were very polite, honest and reliable especially Anup who has been our driver for 2 weeks.

Ambience was not best. Rooms were too small and conjursted.

Room was a bit smaller than I expected, It was clean place and the staff was good too..the only issue was the front window, although the window was translucent but things inside the rooms were visible blurry, so I had to cover them with towel from inside to maintain privacy don't know about the rest of the rooms but I stayed in room no. 208.

This is a good property. Manger along with staff are very friendly behavior. So near to New Delhi Railway Station. But cleanness of hotel is not up to mark.

The stay was okay! Rooms are fairly clean. Even though we took an early checkin for 1 room, for the other 2 rooms we checked in late into the night. When we asked for a slight extension in stay for just 1 room, the management started giving excuses on how it will be chargeable. They were rushing us to pay and get out. Another issues: 1.Air condition is controlled by receptionist. 2. Most amenities were received only when asked. 3. Water bottles were charged more than MRP P.S: never take the taxi facility provided by the hotel. Got the worst driver who was not ready to help out or roam us around. From our long 20days trip, this was the worst.

the room were alright, I liked the interior and all but the service was definitely bad no one seemed to help out very much. The hotel provides body wash and hand wash which is amazing but in my room I asked for them multiple times but it never came so I moved out. We are three guests and asked for single bed rooms but we had to adjust in a room with only double bed which was very inconvenient. The services are slow. Overall experience was okay I might stay again when I'm in Delhi, Definitely dont recommend if u hate lazy services and bad management. While my stay every day I've heard guest complains.

Decent stay near to New Delhi railway station, Rooms are cleaned. *Water bottles charged more than 100% rate of maximum retail price. *never take the taxi facility provided by the hotel. Got the worst driver who was not ready to help out or roam us around. From our long 20days trip, this was the worst. Staffs are okay okay.

The rooms advertised are not at all what you get in real. They don't provide any wardrobe, table, sofa or anything. There was no window in the room while booking it was mentioned as 'Room with a view'. Further, the food was not good and they have a so called restaurant at the top floor which is not clean and just a table and few chairs thrown around. Though, staff is nice and room was clean. Just that they advertise falsely. Don't get you expectations up while booking.

Room was well equipped and the owners were extraordinarily kind and helpful. I missed their taxi pickup from the airport and I missed a train that they booked for me and despite my ineptitude they were very kind and understanding and helped me book new tickets. Very good people and next time in Delhi I would stay here again.

A neat and clean hotel. In Paharganj area me thinks it is cleaner than All hotels in that crampy area. Linen , towels are clean too.

  • 1/5 Abhishek S. 2 years ago on Google
Very very poor service and hospitality. Cigarette smoke is there, no ventilation. No kitchen is here. They told resturant is on the top floor but got to know that only few tables with dirty table clothes and chairs are there. Food gets cold, when it is taken from outside and upon that they will surcharge the service charge. Room service is very pathetic. On the day of checkout they there was no hot water and when called the staff, they told that we run out of diesel and so no water will be available. The bed sheets are stained and the towels they provide are not cleaned properly. Staff not good. Overall all the reviews that are more than 3 here are fake. Number of good hotels are there that can be booked directly.

Hotel owner is a gem of an individual. No hotel was giving us a room in the night. He gave us a room at low price. The staff was excellent and very cooperative. Nice a nd clean hotel. Should be rated 5 star

The first room had to be changed because the key didn’t work. The second room had to be changed because the deadbolt was broken on the door. The final room we ended up with was terrible! The bathroom ceiling was crumbling down. I had to go around to the office yet again because there was no batteries in the remote. She gave me a remote I had to google the instructions on to get it to work on the TV. The bed was terrible! A thin mattress thrown on a broken down frame that lifted on one side when you sat on the other. The tub was horrible and couldn’t have been cleaned every day because there was staining and mold that gathered in places. Something that would not happen with proper daily cleaning. If not for time constraints I would’ve asked for a refund and left.

It is a value for money hotel, if they manage a few more things, cleaning isn't thorough. On my side table there was a lot of hair. Shower area is badly designed. Staff is super unhelpful or sometimes procrastinating. Attitude needs a change everything else will follow for sure.
