Undoubtedly the best place for veg thali in Arakashan road. I noticed a guy making delivery to a hotel and immediately asked the hotel manager where it was from. The next day I went to this restaurant and I am so glad that I did. It's a rather small 2 storied restaurant and the ambience is not for those who are hygiene conscious. But those who love food irrespective of location and surroundings, this place is for them. I ordered Gurudev special thali which was served hot and with dessert. The following day I ordered their Deluxe thali along with Lassi. Trust me, their lassi was the best I have ever had. Their thalis were also quite delicious, were full of flavours especially the veg item that came with the special thali. It reminded me of the thalis I had at Sri Udupi Park restaurant in Bangalore. I definitely would've tasted their other times if I had some more time.

Very tasty food! Easy to find. Near to hostel. They serve very good chai. The staff don't speak very well English but they aretl trying their best to welcome foreigners.. they provide local price for traveller which makes me feel comfortable eating here. They kept the restaurant clean. It's not smelly and dirty

Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff and accommodating for dietary restrictions! Note- they didn't make naan for late afternoon orders at the time I was there (Oct 2023), but the man who helped me said that they would be making naan after 630pm.

Food is actually quite good than other restaurant in Paharganj. Prices are reasonable. You will not get Non Veg food here. The cons are it's not an AC restaurant and tables and chairs are quite small and not so comfortable. But quality of food is quite good and delicious. So if you want to eat delicious veg food and looking for a budget friendly restaurant then you can visit Gurdev Punjabi Restaurant. Here you can order Thali food or you can choose individual item just like I did. :)

That hidden gem. At the end of a trip across the north, including Amritsar, this random hole in the wall place proved to be a total surprise. Had the most amazing lassi on the whole trip and a thali that had the most delicious aloo palak and dal to die for. Wish it remains this way and always focuses on the taste and not in building hype around everything other than food. Prices also very reasonable with lassi @35 and a wholesome veg thaali @just100

First time in India and first meal in Delhi. I got malai kofta, palak paneer and naan bread. Really good and I also love their lassi too.

Good food for a reasonably price, you can get half and full dishes which is great if want to try a few things. Dal fry was delicious potato dish bit oily but taste with the cumin seeds.

Had a client take me here for dinner tonight. Excellent food. Very well cooked. They had both options of a buffet style dinner or order from a menu. The staff were friendly. They brought us little bit of samples to try and see how the spic3 and flavour were in a few of the main dishes. Excellent service. Dinner was thoroughly enjoyed

Travelled with family to Delhi.... Got to know about this place. Visited and it was an instant love at first bite. Do yourself a favor and visit this restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths. We were a family of 4 and had an absolutely the best meal we had.. Highly recommend!

The food was well-priced and plentiful: the half portions were more like full portions from other places. However, it was a little too spicy for us and with too much butter and cream for our tastes. We definitely didn't need the butter on the excellent tandoori rotis! It was a little too loud being open to the back streets of Paharganj. However, if you want authentic, tasty and cheap north Indian food and love butter and cream, I would say give this place a go!

I got the food delivered in train. Quality and Taste was very good. Aloo paratha & Puri Chole is a must have. Packing was also done nicely. No issue of spillage.

Reviews seems like paid reviews. If you visit place you won't be able to seat there, very had smell, in healthy food, cleanliness was ZERO. Staff was good, you won't see real photos of restaurant place, all are beautified pics shows only items... Look at ambience, if they can not keep place clean where you have to seat and eat what could be there in kitchen?....

Third class resturant..no it was not even qualified to call restaurant . It was in small gully having minimal space to walk. Also we got a hair in chola batura .and left the plate so owner was good as he didn't took money for that single plate but place is very untidy and food is ok

Quality, quantity and hygiene of food is best in Paharganj area. Food served is far better than the dhabas present in Chelmsford Road (near New Delhi railway station).

Had Paneer Parantha and Aloo Pyaaz Parantha with chole. The food there tasted really good. Lassi was light with cream on top. It's good food for the price tag and place is pretty hygienic compared to the surrounding places.

The food quality is exceptionally good, however, it's spicy. If you ask them to make it less spicy, then they can add some cream to it & customize it as per your requirement.

Well...I was skeptical at first as it's small place BUT when food came...I ordered half Kadhai Paneer of what is like full at my place ...taste and quantity was awesome! And who gives Salad and Lemon these days for free!! They do! On top of that price was very reasonable. When I Appreciated owner about it...then paaji even offered a complimentary Kheer. I was already full but he lovingly insisted to take few spoons. Super Awesome experience!

I have no words to explain the quality of FOOD they provide means Food quality is so delicious that we always book our Hotel near Gurdev Restaurant. Food quality is awesome, service is so fast, staff is very cooperative, prices are very much normal especially Coverage is very good. Gurdev's half plate is similar to other Restaurant's full plate. My recommendation, if you come to Delhi then must try Gurdev's FOOD.
