This
is
a
little-known
ancient
temple.
I
don't
know
much
about
its
history,
but
it
is
very
splendid.
The
Niomon
gate
and
the
three-storied
pagoda
may
have
been
built
by
the
same
master
as
a
famous
temple,
or
when
they
were
destroyed
in
a
fire
long
ago,
the
person
who
rebuilt
them
was
someone
with
ties
to
Shinshu
Zenkoji
Temple,
or
perhaps
Taira
no
Masakado's
uncle?
There
was
also
a
stone
pagoda
of
Kaneko
Taira.
It
is
now
quite
dilapidated,
and
a
request
for
donations
has
been
made
for
major
renovations.
I
would
like
it
to
be
completely
renovated
and
remain
there
forever.
Even
though
it
is
an
important
cultural
property
of
the
city
and
prefecture,
I
wonder
if
they
will
take
action.
Many
people
come
to
worship
at
Amehiki
Kannon
and
Tsukuba-san
Shrines
in
the
vicinity,
but
if
you
are
in
the
area,
you
should
also
visit
Shiio-san
Yakuo-in.
However,
the
mountain
road
to
access
it
is
narrow,
so
be
careful.
It
seems
that
there
is
also
a
mountain
trail
to
Mt.
Tsukuba.
