This is a little-known ancient temple. I don't know much about its history, but it is very splendid. The Niomon gate and the three-storied pagoda may have been built by the same master as a famous temple, or when they were destroyed in a fire long ago, the person who rebuilt them was someone with ties to Shinshu Zenkoji Temple, or perhaps Taira no Masakado's uncle? There was also a stone pagoda of Kaneko Taira. It is now quite dilapidated, and a request for donations has been made for major renovations. I would like it to be completely renovated and remain there forever. Even though it is an important cultural property of the city and prefecture, I wonder if they will take action. Many people come to worship at Amehiki Kannon and Tsukuba-san Shrines in the vicinity, but if you are in the area, you should also visit Shiio-san Yakuo-in. However, the mountain road to access it is narrow, so be careful. It seems that there is also a mountain trail to Mt. Tsukuba.

The stairs are steep and you can train your legs and hips. However, there are some places where the footing is poor, so elderly people should not push too hard. It's located in the mountains, but it's worth a visit. There is also a solemn shrine that is worth seeing. There is also a small waterfall nearby, so taking a walk and checking it out is a good way to get some exercise.

It's been since a field trip when I was in elementary school. You can drive up the side road from Tsukushiko to the parking lot 🅿️, but the stone steps from 🅿️ are steep ❗️ Be careful on stairs and slopes ⚠️ Death. It also seems to be able to ring the bell. The Hina dolls displayed in the pond were beautiful.

Absolutely gorgeous place situated on the slope of the Tsukuba mountain, this shrine is, surprisingly enough, very quiet. While the Tsukuba shrine attracts thousands of tourists every day, and even more, this place is mostly empty. It is probably due to the fact that this place is pretty hidden and relatively hard to find. From the Shiiosan Rakuoin (not sure about the pronunciation), you can also find a hiking trail that will take you to the top of the Tsukuba mountain (the tail starts behin the graveyard).

lovely temple hidden atop the mountain. dates back to the Taisho era. worth a visit if in Sakuragawa town! the temple attendant was very knowledgeable and kind. the quaint small pond was built to preserve the waterscape that once was filled by a waterfall that cascaded from the top of the mountain. the large bell at the entrance of the main shrine makes a lovely sound and is rung by visitors seeking happiness and good health. the drive up is easy enough but the road is very narrow at times so be careful at the numerous turns!

A lovely quiet temple, wear repellent during the season of insects. Plus the road here can be awkward due to steepness.

I went to preview the Mt. Tsukuba Yakuoin course in December. The autumn leaves were still visible and beautiful. There were worshipers, so I didn't feel lonely. The road was narrow and winding, and there were gutters, so I drove carefully. There was also a note asking people to feel free to take the special medicine medicine ginkgo, so I received one. thank you. I'll be back in the spring.
