We arrived pretty close to opening and I am glad because when we left, the car line waiting to get up to parking was extremely long! This was a beautiful temple with many areas to get gorgeous photos! They even had photo spots for dogs which I am always excited to see! There were many ADORABLE babies and children dressed in traditional wear, as this is a place people go to pray for children. I also noticed for the avid hiker, that there were many trails around here!

It's a heavy raining day though Hydrangeas are beautifully full-bloomed. This temple is famous for Hydrangea. "Chozuya," a place at shrine for washing your hands to purify, has the flower on the water now and from 1st of July Hydrangeas will float over the ponds.

My 3rd time Hike to Mount Kaba starting from this Shrine ! This place always give an immune pleasure! The biggest attraction is the peacock 🦚 roaming around the place and the greatest spot to see the Mount Fuji ! Also a new shrine is been made very recently (2020). It’s an one of the recommended place in Ibaraki.

Nestled in a peaceful mountainous area in the east part of Ibaraki, the temple is widely recognized as a famous spot for viewing hydrangea. The belief is it was originally established by a monk who travelled from China in 587. It is also visited by people who pray for a safe and easy delivery of babies. Once you enter the temple, you will spot a pair of beautiful peacocks roaming around the temple. As of June 1st the hydrangeas were not in bloom - I would guess probably the second week of June would be best. Free parking is available.

A lovely temple that had lots of plum trees flowers at the time of the visit. There were 3 forlorn looking peacocks (and peahens) in a very small barren enclosure in the car park (sad), but ducks and a peacock were roaming free in other areas of the complex. The temple buildings have some very intricate carvings on them. There's also a small pagoda and a bell tower. There two pond areas which are popular with visitors who feed the ducks. The temple seems to be a place popular with families bringing their newlyborn babies to be blessed. There's also a small gift shop (where you can buy the duck food) The view from the top is also very nice and I'd be interested to visit on a clear day again in the future. Finally, word has it that the large black entrance gate was originally from a local castle, so it's worth looking at too.

The temple is located atop a small hill with great views to the plains. Beautiful place enshrining the "rain pulling" goddess. (The temple is also a special place to pray for safe child birth. one can see many new mothers and babies). There are peacocks, geese, turtles, ducks, koi fish...in the multiple ponds in the temple precinct. There's even a cute little waterfall. The place is famous for both sakura hanami (cherry blossom viewing) during spring and ajisai (hydrangea) festival during rainy season (late June/early July). There are ajisai delightful decorations in the ponds! With 1000s of hydrangea flowers of various shades blooming on plants covering all sides of the little hill, the place is a little heaven during the rainy season. A must visit if around tsukuba (an hour's drive from Tsukuba center). Good also as a part of hiking/bicycling (along Rin Rin road from Tsukuba followed by uphill walk/ride). The place is also connected by the bus.

(Translated by Google) Bando Sanjusansho Sacred Ground No. 24. Togoku Flower Temple Hyakugaji Ibaraki No. 6. There is also a nice stamp book. The parking lot is large and there are many attractions in the precincts ♪ Wheelchair users do not have to worry about stairs as there is a private parking lot. The second parking lot can be reached from the mountain gate than the first parking lot (the number of stone steps will increase). Peacocks, ducks, and geese are echoing in the precincts. Since it is located on a hill, the view including Mt. Tsukuba is the best. (Translated by Google) When I visited the shrine a few years ago, I felt that the precincts and the parking lot were small, but when I visited on November 22, 2020, I was surprised that the surrounding environment was in place. .. At the time of Shichigosan, can only the Shingon believers know that the precincts are a kind of three-cs (not a secret)? ,,,,. However, we Japanese, when we stepped into this precinct, I felt a strong desire to pray, as if I had forgotten about that. Shingon sect Toyoyama school temple In the 2nd year of Emperor Yōmei (587), he was founded by a Dharmachakra resident who came from the continent and was naturalized. A collection of good men and women who have been around for a long time, with the principal image of the Kanzeon Bodhisattva, who is in charge of childbirth and childbirth. While there were many people, I participated in the praying and cooking in front of the main hall in order to go back and forth in the precincts for about an hour and share the benefits of the congratulatory people. After that, Mr. Mizuko Kannon also visited the lively precincts. Some lives were born safely in this life, while others have crossed from the equinoctial week to the equinoctial week. It is the fate of a person who cannot avoid it, but I thought about it in front of Kannon. Oh yeah, when I was praying for the guesthouse, I passed by the uncertain people in such a gorgeous atmosphere. However, this is the reality of the buoyant world, life and death are two sides of the same coin, and for a moment, my heart became sick. If there are no events, cherry blossom viewing, or maple hunting, I think it's okay to arrive around noon. In some seasons, arrivals from 9:30 to 10:00, I think there is plenty of parking. The number of toilets is small. It's inside the temple office, but it's a little difficult to find the location. It will save you a lot of time if you make a reservation in advance for cooking.
