Cute little bakery in Kihei! The treats we got were yummy and a fun start to our day. One thing to note is that you have to order some items a day in advance. Luckily, I had read that in reviews beforehand so we were prepared and ordered the day before, but some items showed as “out of stock” on their website (I.e. the lilikoi pie) while I noticed they had it the next day in the display at their store (but we weren’t able to order it then). I was disappointed we didn’t get to try it. Also, the shop is quite small and they only allow one party in at a time, which makes it a little difficult to browse, and the wait can get long.

My husband i and just went and got the malasadas donuts. Wow absolutely amazing! We will be back for more for sure! Also the best coffee I’ve had since we have been here. Wish I got the name of the girl helping us, but she was so friendly and helpful giving us info on what to order. All around a great business.

The staff were Super lovely. This place is dangerously good. I understand why there was a line!! The cream-filled Malasadas were excellent, especially the Lilikoi and coconut ones. The strawberry coconut muffin was delicious too! I wanted one of everything but got out while I could 🤣! Definitely give them a try!!

We wanted to try the malasadas and went to this bake shop after a quick google research. The first time we arrived after 12 o clock and they were already completly sold out. We felt that the lady even chuckled a bit when we wanted to order malasadas that late. We took a small mango cake which was ok, but nothing compared to a banana cake we had at another place! Next day we arrived at 9 o clock and there was already a line waiting infront of the shop. After 10 min we got the malasadas (4pieces) and they were good. Nothing special though! Based on the reviews the expecation was way higher. Maybe we are used to very high swiss bakery standards (?)... Its like a not very sweet berliner, less sugary. Somehow not worth the hype, sorry. The service was alright, they were fast and friendly.

Local small bakery shop. Many options to choose from. It was our each morning destination for coffee and freshly baked goods. Coffee is freshly brewed with robust flavor which is expected from Hawaii. They practice the social distancing and let one party at one time to enter inside. Which is understandable given the shop is small. They are open super early in the morning. My go to order was chocolate croissant and Coffee latte. We were also looking for authentic traditional banana bread of Hawaii. We got a whole mango banana bread and we were snacking on it for over two days. It was still fresh and delicious! My partner was fan of their blueberry citrus scones. I found out late that they had savory pies as well unfortunately didn't get to try them during out stay. Waiting for the coffee here and watching the elegant chickens roaming around freely bought a piece of my childhood memory back.

The toasted coconut filled malasada was amazing. We also liked the passion fruit and vanilla filled. The plain, hot malasada as very good was well.

The best malasadas and pies on the island. The filling has strong flavor but not too sweet or overwhelming; the dense dough perfectly balanced the filling. Amazing croissants, flakey and soft! Friendly and helpful staff. Cute local feel. Get there early as things run out fast (it’s a popular place).

This bakery is a MUST TRY when in Maui. First off, it's the best cup of coffee in terms of flavor and cost ($2.75 for a 16 oz!). The passionfruit key lime pie is to die for. It is a little more on the tart side, but not too sweet, and the bite ends with a hint of passionfruit. We did enjoy the ube and passionfruit creme donuts too, but found them to be a little sweeter than we prefer. Definitely take a couple loaves of bread to go. The banana bread is delicious but the mango bread is where all the flavor is. The macarons have good flavor too but the texture was more grainy than expected. Overall, incredible experience here. I would definitely come back, and I highly recommend this place to everyone!

Keeping this review sweet & simple, just like the delicious treats you'll find here... From the venue to the staff, it's charming & hospitable. And, everything we tried here was fresh & yummy! *The ube malasada was our favorite, and you can't go wrong with a "power bar" (spam masubi)... both were some of the best around. Take your goodies to-go, on your way to the beach or sightseeing... Or, grab a seat at one of the picnic tables and scarf down every last morsel. Either choice, is an easy one.

Love this place! It's tiny inside, but it's packed with so many good things like muffins, croissants, coffee, etc. We got a coffee cake muffin, two cinnamon sugar malasadas, and an oat milk latte. Everything was delicious!

Really enjoyed all of the malasadas we ordered (cinnamon, ube, coconut and lilikoi). The lilikoi one was our favorite. We also really enjoyed the Bee’s Nuts latte.

We went twice on our trip! Malasadas one day and pies the other! We have been here many times but never had the Malasadas! We stopped early in the morning on our way to West Maui on a day trip from Kihei. They were absolutely delicious and I think we decided perhaps our favourite on the island! The staff was really friendly and loved our choices! We had the lilikoi and coconut ! They were both amazing!! We didn’t plan on eating two each but they were too good not to! The ube sounded intriguing as well! They only take credit card! We had the pies the other time! The lilikoi was by far our favourite! We will be back!

Absolutely delicious Malasadas. I had 2 Ube (purple yam), passion fruit and coconut. They aren’t overly sweet so they go down easy. Thanks so much for allowing me to try the Ube first, I’ve never had it before and I’m so glad I bought them. Delicious !

The malasadas were great. Unfortunately, the lady at the till just seemed upset and annoyed that we were even there. I’m not sure why, or what was up, but it just felt like she didn’t want to be there. No complaints about the food, or prior experiences, but today was just awful.

We love their malasadas. Last year, my husband went first thing in the morning and brought home the first batch of warm malasadas. They were heavenly. This year, we went around noon, and got malasadas that weren't warm, but they were still just as delicious. The dough is perfectly fluffy and "donuty" with the perfect amount of creme inside. The creme is not overly sweet, but rather tastes light, slightly whipped, and packed full of flavor. Our favorite flavor is the coconut creme. Our family loved the coconut malasada so much that the kids begged for more. We normally don't eat sweets much, and even the kids don't have much of a sweet tooth, but they loved this. I went back into the bakery the same afternoon to buy more coconut malasadas for the brood. Because... why not? We can't get these on the mainland. The malasadas did not last long at all.. So good.

This place has unreal delicious treats. I have a major sweet tooth and I eat any and every type of delicious sweets around the world. It’s hard to impress me in this domain and I can truly say this place is above and beyond. My favorite was the mango muffin and the mango cheesecake. Even the staff is so friendly and welcoming. I rarely post reviews on google but I was so impressed that I was compelled to leave a review for such small businesses. Love it and highly recommend!

The malasadas are the best! The lilikoi, ube and stawberry cream are my absolute favorite. I also got a Mango muffin and my husband got a sticky bun and they were the best! Definitely check them out, they are super nice and the desserts are the best!

The strawberry coconut muffin has a crumble top that is lightly coated with powered sugar, and the flavors accentuate the soft melt in your mouth texture of the muffin. Best muffin I’ve ever ate!

Totally delicious! Expect a queue even if you go early and don’t miss the savory baked goods! The macadamia sticky bun and cheddar, bacon, jalapeño scone were our favorites.

Really good breakfast bakery nook across the beach. The spinach croissant is fluffy, the quiche is jam packed with spinach and the spicy spam musubi has a spicy tang to it. -- $5.75 = Spinach & Feta Croissant. -- $3.50 = Mango Muffin -- $3.00 = Spicy Spam Musubi -- $9.00 = Spinach, sweet onion Quiche The downside is the price of the quiche for the size. A little too sweet, but still very flavorful. The side crust is flaky, the top is hard and there is a lot of ingredients packed into it. The spicy spam musubi has a small kick with the jalapeños used, the rice is not dense, and the sweet teriyaki sauce adds a bit of nice flavor to it.

Their croissants are delicious, crispy and flaky. Their lemon and blueberry muffins are super moist and sweetened to perfection, not ridiculously sweet. Just right, and the blueberries are very fresh. The sweet onion quiche is good too, if you like onion. Try it warm. It's all good!

Literally could eat one of everything in here but our favorites were the hot malasadas (li hing topping) and the stuffed malasadas (lilikoi and Ube) were our favorites out of the batch. Be sure to arrive early though because there is a limited batch 💪🏽

The ladies here went above and beyond for us! We were able to visit sugar beach as a big family group. My husband and I have a little boy who is going to be a big brother. We were so excited to be able to share the gender with the whole group and reached out to sugar beach bake shop to see if they could help us do so. They were excited to help us and they made 32 malasadas with one containing the gender. Turned out to be another boy! This was such a fun way to tell our group and support an awesome local shop!

The servers were friendly and welcoming. They only allowed one group at a time, so the line moved slowly. We ordered malasadas and a mango cheesecake. The malasadas were average. The filling was good but the malasadas were so small compared to other places we visited. The dough was a bit chewier and denser too. The mango cheesecake, however, saved this visit. It was delicious and was my girlfriend's favorite dessert during our stay. Light cheesecake and a great graham cracker crust.

Desserts: 3/5 Service: 4/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Overall: Lots of options for sweets! The extended review... Desserts: Lilikoi Key Lime Pie - 3/5 - I was super excited for this. It definitely ready more key lime than lilikoi for me. I would have loved just a bit more lilikoi flavor. Service: 4/5 - Super friendly staff. Ambiance: 4/5 - A super cute shop.

Delicious Malasadas!! The cinnamon sugar are where it’s at! We waited in line probably 40 mins, it was worth the wait but I wish I would have known to order the night before. My husband got the coconut cream pie, it too was great!
