You can appreciate the houses they used because the floors are made from wood and they are at least from the year of 1883. For local tourist...pay IDR 5,000 for 2 houses. Foreign tourist IDR 10,000. The museum itself...not really appealing because it's not really well maintained. The good thing is...they have AC inside. But you can learn a bit on the history of South Sulawesi. 30 minutes are enough to explore both museums.

Sureq Galigo or Galigo, also called La Galigo is an epic creation myth of the civilization of Bugis in South Sulawesi. To preserve its name, Indonesian government gave the name to the museum, Museum La Galigo as a state museum of South Sulawesi. The museum is located in the area of complex of Fort Rotterdam.

Local museum inside fort Rotterdam. Very cheap entry point, collection is limited but maintained well. Downside is from the many aircons there, only couple of them are working, so it's super hot inside.

La Galigo is a myth of Bugis people. It is known of its complex and long story. Unfortunately, the museum only has a few inventory to tell. Lack of narration and showcase makes the museum less interesting.

A very insightful place filled with interesting history! There was a Tour Guide called Jordan Siregar who was able to explain both in Indonesian & English language! He explained the history to us in simple terms & this has enabled us to understand better! A must visit to know more about the history of Indonesia, specifically Sulawesi in the South!

The museum/gallery is a bit dark. There is some effort with the exhibition but more improvement is needed. But the landscape and the building is great for taking photos
