Very nice hotel, loved my Jr Suite on 10th floor, huge room, great floor to roof views. Tons of various seating, bath, shower table. Great views of the city below and wonderful, attentive staff. A very good Coto, beef rib soup w room service . Only small complaint was that a big modern hotel, I could not get soda water at either the restaurant or the upstairs lounge.

The hotel is located in center of Makassar. The room's view at eleventh floor is veey good, Losari beach is very clear. Not far from the hotel, there is a shooping center. Recommended for vocation with family.

Aston is located near Losari Beach (10 minutes walk). If you're lucky, you'll have that famous 99 Domes Mosque view right before your window room. Service is great. Staff are helpful. Room needs more attention, especially its floor and bed cleanliness. But overall, it was a pleasant experience staying at Aston Hotel. Thank you to Mas Andre, who prepared a generous breakfast box for us because we couldn't have our breakfast at the hotel.

I had a very good stay at the Aston, it is the best hotel in Makassar. I stayed at multiple hotels in the area and this Is by far the best, especially the service from a good man named Riswan he had so much valuable information about the area and Sulawasi. any hotel at home or abroad would be lucky to have a good man like Riswan working at there fine hotel.

Very pretty and elegant hotel! The ambiance was very nice! The rooms were very clean! The personnel was also really friendly! Furthermore, the diningroom ON20 looked cozy as well! The amount of food to choose from at the breakfast buffet was astonishing! So many options(!) both hot and cold: bakso, bubur, gado-gado, western food, egg station, saladbar, fruit, pastries, danish, juices... I was speechless! I also visited the Olympus restaurant to dine in the evening, and the food was delicious. We had an amazing view over the city and I really enjoyed the city lights! I enjoyed my stay at the ASTON Makassar Hotel!

I seriously do not know how does this hotel have such a good rating. It’s one of the worst hotels one can stay in. 1. The hotel rooms and washrooms are old and dirty. 2. There restaurant is not even functioning and they have converted a hall literally into a restaurant with half the items on menu not available. We ordered a pizza and after waiting for 30 mins the waiter told us it is not available. 3. So the next thing we ordered was a pasta. That’s the worst pasta one can have. It looked like it has been cooked by someone who doesn’t even know cooking. It was bland uncooked and without any toppings. It looked like they didn’t even have a proper chef. 4. The breakfast menu is very limited. When asked for a coffee (latte/ cappuccino) it was informed we only have americano premixed. How can a hotel not have a coffee machine ? 5. The hotels wifi was hardly working and had frequent disconnect 6. The walls are made of paper you can hear voices from other rooms and corridor. The list is pretty long but this hotel needs a refurb. It has a good view and location but if ever visiting makassar again I will never stay here.

The hotel is really nice and breakfast is great. The service is awesome! We are traveling with mum who needs special assistance. They went above and beyond. Starting from the pick up by Pak Syam over a delayed flight. Very attentive and very helpful with mum's condition. He is very kind. The next day we met Pak Andre at the restaurant. He is super helpful and it's always great to meet him, such a friendly person and happy to be around with. Oh wont forgot to mention how he prepared our breakfast in the morning and how great it looks like even inside a package as one morning we went travel outside of makassar. There is also the room service man, I missed out his name but then again very helpful and very kind to take on our questions, etc. Highly recommended this hotel for their great service, hospitality, location and just things where they went extra mile to assist person on wheelchair. Aston Makassar, thank you. It's been a great pleasure.

Comfy room to rest after full day activities... It's a standard 4-star hotel.. They also served local dishes for breakfast, it's good for visitor to easily knowing the local culinary..

Say your flight got canceled and you have to spend the night and have no idea where to stay. Fret not - we stayed at the Aston Hotel overnight and let me tell you something . . . The reception speaks English They are extremely nice The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable The WiFi works perfectly The breakfast is. Extensive buffet that is very clean Walk out of hotel and go right and a great restaurant (Bistropolis)beholds you, step out to the left and there is a coffee shop that is amazing. Not sure the name but as soon as you walk in it has a legitimate espresso machine. The owners name is Johnny. We are two Americans traveling the world who got stuck here overnight and would highly recommend this place to anyone. Two Thumbs up 👍👍

We stayed two separate nights at Aston Makassar before and after our South Sulawesi trip. First night, they gave me room with connecting door where the next room were noisy. I requested another room and hotel gave me the new room very fast, so I could get a good night sleep. Second night, Aston upgraded our rooms to the executive one where it has bathtub and very spacious. It was a nice experience. Strategic location, 12 mins walking to Losari beach. Pros: Services were great and very fast-response. They have water jug so it should be less waste from water bottle, breakfast were quite varies. Cons: please don't give room with connecting door for single book. There was't key chain from inside to give more protection.

Great 4th star hotel at the city center. Awesome service, delicious breakfast and spacious room. In-room WiFi had a good connection, made me WFA (work from anywhere) became so comfortable. Keep connecting with boss and colleagues.

The bed was incredibly comfortable, with soft linens and fluffy pillows that ensured a good night's sleep. The room was also impeccably clean, with no issues or concerns.

Clean, relaxing room as per photos. Wifi, air conditioning and hot water. Large swimming pool and good breakfast (more savoury than sweet). Friendly staff but they didn't really know how to help me get to Bira by bus or taxi. July 2023.

I've been here for enjoying afternoon tea at D'Lounge and much fun. You could see the City of Makassar and the sky after sunset just beautiful..

The staff was incredibly helpful and the location was perfect for exploring the city, and the food at the hotel's restaurant was absolutely delicious, especially Makassar seafood. The hotel was okay. When we visited it was warmth and full of energy. I like the vibe of the staff there. Very friendly and accommodating.

I give it 5 stars. Well, if you are looking for kids friendly hotels, i choose this hotel . The pool service at 15 floor is very kind and friendly to kids, without missing their concentration for watching those kids wandering around the pool.

Room is good overall, located at a very strategic location also nice service from the staff. The only thing i complain is when you stay during holiday or weekday most probably you have to wait for a seat during breakfast

stop looking, this is the spot - I stay in hotels all over Indo all the time - these people get it period, it's almost not real (or some kind of trick) compared to other same price range accommodation, no reason to go anywhere else, you are home at Aston Makassar
