Rooms are poorly kept, wear and tear. Wasn't like this a year ago! Alot of people loitering at the lobby. However service is still very good with very good staff here!

I will try to review this hotel part by part. I came around 15.00 by taxi, nobody there to help with my luggages. Ok and then I proceeded to the reception to perform check in. One staff at the desk, short line. But the one behind me seems unpatient. I welcome by the staff but he looked so busy, try to welcome and at the same answer some phone (fix phone). Which i totally understand because he was alone. And I proceeded to my room. Room is good, clean, simplicity modern design which i love. Bed quality is also great. The shower pressure also great. But i realized at night the sound proofing of the room is not so good. I can hear the sound of the road which so annoyed. In my opinion they should informed it in the first place. Im so lazy to ask them to change to another room. Gym facilities is ok , they have basic item. The food are great, i ordered for my lunch and breakfast as well. So yummy. Check out precedure was great. Quick and efficient. I just hope they can improve better for some item. And remember greeting is a must when you run a hospitality field, for all crews.

The staff is really charming and helpful (as always), the room are very clean (sober, just a jug of water) but... we are so far from Mercure standards: staff not at their post, dishes lying around, tables not set, missing cutlery, dry bread, full ashtrays, cold dishes, canteen level coffee,... I've been called 3 times, and explain 3 times about a simple room extension,... All little details, nothing bad but all together it doesn't give a professional look :(

Undoubtedly high reputation Mecure with international standard. The superior room is comfortable and roomy. The only thing that bother me is the closet door is multi-function as the lavatory’s wall-mirror. So if you close one it will open the other.

The first six pictures are of a superior room number 601 which is nice and spacious but needs a serious fix of air circulation or simply a better exhaust fan because it smells rancid when you first enter the room. Loose socket next to the working station has to be replaced. The other pictures are of a deluxe room number 728 which is fine and smells fresh. I just don't comprehend why the door to the closet is the same as the one that covers the bathroom sink from the bed. In other words, you can only choose to see through the bathroom or the closet (why would anyone ever use a sink right from the bed?). The restaurant is located on the same level as the lobby. Service could be improved up to the standard of other Mercures. I notice staff are not smiling or saying greetings when encountering guests.

Has booked for 5 night. But the room is very TERIBLLE!!!. The bathroom light BROKE, the AC BROKE, the exhaust of bathroom BROKE. Very disapointed to the room. NEVER come HERE again!!!. I was chat the hotel to tell them bfr i come to help me to provide the proper room bcs i take my baby this time, but wht the do is give me the BROKENN ROOM!!! And give me portable AC with very noisy voice!!!

Overall all good, cleanliness no dust in my room and near from airport ( all facilities in this hotel working out and doing their job perfectly ). Then, One of my point when i stay in here, i tried a massage in there. Its quite good for spa hotel. Quite Recommeded for hotel near in airport and in makassar ya☺👍

I was staying for 1+2 weeks - mostly enjoying my day working from the hotel. Moving from street view to be pool view on the same 9th floor. Street view had more things to be seen but traffic sounds could be annoying at some point. Breakfast got many options but lack of specialities. None of them were delicious even the cereal or porridge. Bread and pastry taste were not fresh. I love the room and cleaning service. It has a lot of parking lot outside and underground. Not much you can expect from the gym but you can count on spacious lobby and lounge area to meet your guest.

This is a nice hotel strategically located in Pettarani Street, very close to coto restaurants, and cafes and mall along the Hertasning. It is a short distance to a toll gate to the airport. The room was clean and staff were friendly.

Perfect place for staying unless you add swimming into your agenda. The pool's cleanliness was intolerable. The rest was good.

Simple yet nice place to stay and hold a meeting. The hotel is clean. The location is strategic, easy to find.

All the staff were great and hospitable. We appreciate the free extra bed for our toddler since we are a platinum member. Here are some improvements that i'd like to suggest: The air con in the bedroom need to be fixed, it took a couple of hours to really be cool, considering this is makassar air con is crucial, because the weather is really hot as in burning hot. Please do proper maintainance for your rooms. The glass doors for the toilet and shower need to be fixed, they literally dragged on the floor each time we open and close it. The ceramic on the bath tub and the woods on the furnitures were peeling, they did not give a look of 4 stars hotel. The floor mat in the bathroom were terrible, not just old, but you can see that it is falling apart, there were strays of strings all around the sides. No air con in lifts or hallways, again this is makassar it's really very hot everyday. Thank you

Nothing problematic with breakfast and rooms - all great. We even had good times using their spa and gym. Also Good thing they have nightlife bar with live music. Only disappointing thing is their swimming pool which is ridiculously unhygienic, and comes with broken shower and clogged drainage.

easy hotel access to reach, the hotel is suitable for families also, the staff is amazing providing birthday surprises so feel like own family. For sure will recomend Mercure Makassar for my friend and family

Almost everybody from the staff speaks very bad English. They pretend to understand you but they don't which causes things to repeatedly go wrong and you have to constantly check on them (this was the case with check-in, room service, etc.) Restaurant menu seems extensive but it’s not. Many meals are always 'sold out'. We took a massage but again: bad communication. There also were burps and the masseuses were talking and laughing during the massages. Not so pleasant.

Room quality is good, taste of food also nice, but need to improve speed of check-in time, too slowly in the receptionis, glass of welcome drink not ready and take arround 10 minutes process there. So far still a good hotel for you when plan to stay in Makassar.

First time staying at this hotel. and it turned out to be fun. clean and fragrant rooms, clean bathrooms, and friendly service. and most importantly, the buffet is all delicious. especially bread pudding, I like it when hotels provide bread pudding with cinnamon and raisins. and the donuts are also deliciously soft. the food is also friendly for children. very recommended for those who are married.
