I like to order extra noodles when eating here. The broth is good. Just the right amount of flavor. Excellent service too—even asked us how the food was.

Good food, better service. Enjoyed the classic Akamaru ramen and the limited edition Kuro ramen. Buns were exquisite, especially the chicken one. Staff was very attentive and promptly served the food. Restaurant’s over-all ambiance and cleanliness are OK, but they need to disinfect the leather couches better to avoid the musty smell.

Good reliable ramen restaurant. The service was also excellent. The cost is the only thing that’s stopping me from giving it 5-stars, Ippudo in Japan is less expensive, but overall a good experience.

Although expensive, their ramen is actually good for me. I'm not a ramen fan but I could eat here every day lol. Huge restaurant with a lot of seats and tables. Accommodating staff. Will come back here.

I had an amazing experience dining at Ippudo Uptown BGC and I can confidently say that it's a must-visit spot for anyone craving for authentic Japanese cuisine in Manila. One of the highlights of my visit was the excellent service provided by Arnon, who went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was a memorable one. He was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which made our ordering process seamless and enjoyable. Arnon's exceptional service added an extra layer of warmth and comfort to our dining experience. Furthermore, I was impressed by how the manager handled the delay in serving our tofu. The manager was apologetic and took the time to explain the situation, which made us feel valued and appreciated as customers. This level of professionalism and care is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to delivering exceptional service. In addition to the excellent service, I was also impressed by the friendly staff who greeted us with warm smiles and made us feel welcome from the moment we entered the restaurant. The staff's positive attitude and eagerness to assist us with our dining needs added to the already fantastic dining experience. The ambience of the restaurant was equally impressive. The restaurant looked new and neat, with modern decor and comfortable seating. The lighting was just right, creating a cozy and relaxed atmosphere that made us feel at home. Overall, I highly recommend Ippudo Uptown BGC to anyone looking for a great dining experience in Manila. The exceptional service, friendly staff, and fantastic ambience make this restaurant a must-visit spot.

It taste good, but after eating these, it made me sick, i guess the salmon that i ate is already contaminated by bacteria. Had to go to the emergency room for assistance since my stomach is really upset. Hopefully this would be the last time that you will serve a contaminated food, it should be stored with proper clean preparation.

For a busy Japanese ramen place, I hardly noticed the crowd/ noise. Tables and chairs are spaced appropriately - didn't feel cramped together unlike other Japanese "fast" food places. Restaurant was also very clean, as well as the open kitchen. Loved the food!!! Our orders arrived quickly and it was good. Staff took quite a while to give us our receipt though - it's as if they lost it since they had to come back and ask us who we gave it to, how much we paid, etc. They apologized for the incovenience naman.

If you're looking for a ramen shop with great service, then this is the place for you. The staff is very attentive and makes sure that you are well taken care of throughout your meal. The food is also good, although not exceptional. The only downside is that the place can get very crowded, so if you like a bustling atmosphere, then this will be right up your alley. Overall, it's a decent option for a satisfying bowl of ramen with great service.

Great Ramen spot. It wasn't busy when we ate for dinner in Tuesday night. Great service and food arrived quickly. Broth was amazing. Two choices for noodles hardness. I chose medium. I got classic Tonkitsu. The special gets you an egg and seaweed and other toppings. Classic just the pork belly. Kids love their Ramen and they approve! We just came from Japan too.

I had heard a lot about Ippudo and finally I have decided to check it out tonight. I ordered Akamura Special ramen (mild spicy) (chose the chef's recommendation on the tickness of the noodles), gyoza and kaarage. I was surprise on the richness of the soup of the ramen, it was very comforting. It is very perfect for a rainy day ♡ The ambiance is nice and the staff are attentive and approachable. I will definitely recommend Ippudo!

The ramen that I ordered was mediocre compared to other ramen I tasted. The aburi shrimp roll tasted like your sipping or licking sea water. The pork bun was tasteful. Will never visit this place. One visit is enough and onto the next Japanese restaurant.

Enjoyed a great lunch here on our Japanese food trip weekend and it was really enjoyable with great food and very professional staff including the Manager Belle and our server Joe! We tried the pan-fried gyoza, goma cucumbers, Shiromaru ramen with egg, chicken karaage, pork bun and chicken bun. Everything we outstanding and while we will try different variations on our next trip, such as the deep fried gyoza and a spicier ramen, that's because we want to be able to compare and learn which item is exactly the best for us. We loved every item that we were served and are already eagerly awaiting our return. 10/10 Would 100% highly recommend!

Unquestionably, this is among the best ramen restaurants in the metro! We adored their generous serving of chashu and the extremely flavorful broth! Their staff members are really attentive, which is a plus! Additionally, the interior is top notch, and the entire facility is clean!

i dont care what people say. they serve THE best tantanmen in manila! i first stated this amazing dish about 6 years ago, when it was a slightly different, award-winning version, but even in its current state it is still miles ahead of the competition! good balance of heat and fullness of broth, good texture on the noodles, and melt in your mouth pork slab on top!!! i make sure to stop by here at least once every manila trip :)

It’s one of the known ramens in Japan however it is not at par with Ramen Nagi. Didn’t like the Okonomiyaki with shrimp. Tasted like Magic Sarap. Ramen is good but the rest isn’t. Giving 3 stars for the good ramen.

Ippudo in Uptown Mall in 2016, if I recall it correctly. What I love in this restaurant is that they have been consistent with their service, and their quality of food since Day 1. The ambience is nice, and the place is clean. The staff has always been friendly and accommodating. This time I ordered Tokusei Tantanmen, and Spicy Salmon Aburi. The tantanmen's spice level was just right. Some who have high tolerance to spicy food may find the spiciness lacking though. The serving size was right and if you have broth left, you can add noodles to enjoy it with. The aburi serving size was small - it was just four pieces, compared to other Japanese restaurants specializing in sushi. Other dishes worth to try and to share with include okonomiyaki, gyoza, and tori karaage.

We love going back here for their ramen - shoyu or tantanmen. Even their gyoza and torched salmon rolls are very good! I took away one star though because last time we were served with soda in can but the top of the can was dirty and the staff probably did not check before serving. Would be nice to be assured that the food and whole place is clean.

One of the best ramen places in the Philippines. Hands down. Service is fast, food is excellent, place is clean and the staff are very attentive. I'm a regular at the Uptown Mall branch

  • 3/5 James D. 1 year ago on Google
Good food, kind of pricey though. Water tastes a bit like tap. Asked for a fruit shake and was told "the blender is broken". Hmmmm....is it hard for a business owner to buy a new blender? They list shakes in their menu, so they need to serve them. Unacceptable. I'm sure if the owner's personal blender at his home broke, he would have no problems with going out to buy a new one, but I guess the customer is less important then he is. Since the restaurant charges a 10% "service fee" on top of the bill, you'd think they would have enough money to buy a blender. By the way, the "service fee" isn't the worker's tip; it's a cash-grab by the owner. If you ask the employees what the service fee is, they have no idea, only that it doesn't go to them. This place charges American prices for food, yet pays the workers standard Philippines salary ($5 a day?), so I'm sure they make enough to buy a blender.

10/10 HIGHLY RECOMMENDED During my weeklong trip in Manila, I was craving for a Japanese food with great flavor profile. I was searching for something that is near to what I am expecting. I tried several restaurants in Pasay and Makati but none of those even hit the perimeters of my satisfaction. Broth, broth, broth was the game changer of the experience. As I read the menu, the broth simmers extensively to get that kind of consistency and flavor in a bowl which I doubted at first for the reason that I ate ramen twice before getting there, and my dopamine level was telling me that this might be just another hunger buster rather than a rewarding meal. Seriously, at that time I wasn't expecting at all, but the moment I tried it, I told my sister "this is ramen". I’ll return to this restaurant and will order the other stuffs that I haven’t tried yet. The ambiance was great, they were all friendly and accommodating, and the food was pleasantly heaven. I hope the management would take my recommendation of having bamboo chopsticks be readily available on the table rather than asking for it. I have a better grip using those.

2nd time to be here... thanks to BDO for their promo (until July 2019) only so make sure to check their resto during week days. I was happy with my Ramen, tried the Akamaru Special. Suggest to try also their Karaage.

During the “new normal.” Quality of the food here is top notch. They currently have a lunch combo meal shown in the photo, which is yummy. They have a paper bag to put your mask while eating, fiberglass dividers, and strict cleanliness guidelines due to covid. They’re doing all they can to be safe. The staff were extremely polite and helpful. Good experience!

Doesnt like the new normal set up. Ur seated 2 seats apart; hw can u share food? btw, we came here as family. Be ready to what ur ordering, menu is purely in text form, kung di ka madalas dito kumain, clueless ka kung ano oorderin mo. In the end, mas madalas pa contact sa waiters kc u need to ask them kung ano yung nasa menu, ano best seller, kc nga no photos of the menu.

Ippudo is a staple in the Metro's food scene. The broth is lighter than most of the ramen houses but the flavor has just the right amount of flavor. I personally love the Akamaru.

This is yet another successful Ippudo franchise which maintained its favor and quality of materials used in a ramen. The restaurant staff is attentive and friendly. The floor can be better managed since I notice quite a little of messy and littles found in floor.
