The rooms looks decent and are decent sized, but be warned that this is not a 4-star hotel. 1. We were given a smoking room even though we had booked in advance. My mother is in her 60s and they did not give us any other option. They told us there were no more rooms left. 2. As I was ready to finally get in the shower after a long flight, a cockroach appeared crawling around in the shower…I said hell no but unfortunately there were no other rooms left. When I informed the front desk about cockroach it seemed like a known/usual problem as they didn’t seem to care or react much, and didn’t offer any reparations. 3. The showerhead in the other room we had was broken and completely unusable. If you want a good experience, avoid this hotel

The 3 bedroom apartment is spacious enough. They have a washing machine but no dryer or drying rack. Rooms are clean. Walkable dining options nearby. Drugstore and convenience stores across the street. Signage for the hotel can easily be missed. Just look for Max Chicken restaurant directly opposite.

There was work being done on our apartment so we decided to go on a staycation in Makati. The reason I chose this place over others that were cheaper was because they advertised a pool and a gym. So imagine our disappointment when we found out that both were closed! On top of that, the TV was really old and had horrible picture quality and the bed was uncomfortable. Not to mention one of the electrical outlets didn't work. As a result, we checked out early and the staff lady reminded us there are no refunds. They also charge a 2,000php deposit which I didn't find out until we arrived. We won't be staying there again.

Valero is well located. Staff is polite and rooms are clean. There were some glitches. 1- They give you a hair blower but the plug isn’t the same size as the wall socket(see photo) 2- the water is very weak no pressure (video) 3- temperature of shower water difficult to control. I burned myself. 4- AC is directly over your bed blowing cold air directly on your head. I caught a cold. 5- Korean restaurant was closed. Best thing that happened because it made us discover a fantastic restaurant a few doors away and we’ll try the hotel next door to restaurant. I won’t go back

Book 3 rooms for 3 nights. First problem is the cash deposit. It's 2,000 pesos per room per night. I avoid hotels that charge deposits but got caught on this occasion. I requested they waive the deposit requirements as it slows down the check in process and as we now live in a digital age, there must be a better way to treat good customers. They do accept credit cards but I only carry debit cards, so I was forced to incur ATM fees of 750 pesos. Next problem, bed bugs. After a night in the 12th floor 1 bedroom suite, woke up with massive lumps. Later we got a Doctor's report and medication (2,500 pesos) and showed the Manager, who took photos, but no offer to compensate us. Next the toilet wouldn't flush. We won't be back on principle. A disaster from beginning to end.

Stayed 3 nights in this hotel. Pluses: Great location, very walkable area. Felt very safe. Lots of food and bars within walking distance. Room was huge, with kitchenette. Staff was friendly and impeccable. Minuses: hardest beds we have slept on anywhere in the world. (We travel a lot, many countries, Asia has the hardest beds so far, but this was like sleeping on a marble floor.) We both had trouble sleeping and had backaches every morning. Shower did not drain into tub - it flooded the bathroom floor. We used bath towels to to surround the tub to keep the water in. Would not stay again.

This is honestly one of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed at. Firstly, the booking was wrong and my room was a smoking room, so it probably smelled so bad, so I had to pay extra to change it to non-smoking. The room itself is terrible, no view, small, smelly air conditioner. I wanted to go to the gym at 8am but when I went there they said its closed until 10am. They don't even clean the room everyday. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel! What a joke. And their excuse for not cleaning the room is because of "pandemic". Every excuse for bad treatment of guests is because of just following hotel policy. I can't wait to leave. Over expensive, terrible room, unhelpful staff. I would highly recommend trying another hotel.

I highly recommend this hotel. From the location, services, cleanliness of the rooms and affordable price, I really liked pretty much everything. Their staff are really nice and professional as well. Unlike many other hotels, Valero's staff from guards, receptionists down to their room service staff, are very courteous and will make you feel welcome and served well. Special mention to Kuya Erwin right by the entrance and his fellow staff who properly attended to us and our needs.

Check in is like an FBI interrogation, the metal detector is a bad joke, and the security level is, as everywhere in Philippines, completely insane and exaggerated. Feels like entering a maximum security prison. Food is available, but for your own good go elsewhere. Too expensive. The roof pool was disappointing.

First off people you get what you pay for, if you think you were going to get some luxury hotel for $50 a night then keep dreaming. The location is good, lobby is nice but misleading because the rooms have a dank smell to them and there were cockroaches in our room, the bathroom was terribly designed so that it flooded every time we showered. The staff was okay and did what they could to help. I’d say it’s a 2 star hotel. Could definitely use some improvements.

It's really such a shame because there's a lot going for this hotel, but you'll get the worst sleep of your life. Prepare to sleep on the world's stiffest bed. I opted to sleep on the couch for the last two nights of my quarantine - the couch, though cheap and old, is a lot softer than the world's cheapest spring mattress. They tried to compensate for it by adding two very old and worn mattress topper (photo for reference), but that barely made any difference. You can literally knock on the surface of this bed and it will produce a sound close to wood. After a 28 hour journey, this was extremely disappointing. Some great things, though - super fast internet, decent food, and they allow deliveries prior to your arrival. I ordered food from Manam to complement the sometimes meh ulam or sometimes tiny serving (there was one meal I was literally served a single chicken wing). They have a microwave to heat food, but you need your own dish washing soap and Sponge if you plan on using their plates and silverware. The staff was great too, though the runners look overworked. Covid protocols, check in and check out, and swab testing protocols were all good and efficient. The room was spacious and the price for the package rate was reasonable. Just be ready to be exhausted, sleep deprived, and have a bad back after your quarantine.

First of all, the beds are absolutely hard as a rock- we would have been better off sleeping on the floor. We were so uncomfortable that we hardly slept at all. The room oddly smelled of sewage as well. Though not mentioned in the booking information, they would not let my fiancé and I check in because I am not vaccinated. I had to walk 20 minutes to the nearest clinic for a negative COVID test just to find that they were closed, thus proceeding to another clinic and wasting about 2 hours of my time just so we could check in. Upon showering in the evening when finally allowed to check in, we noticed a significant amount of mold in the shower area of the bathroom. While trying to check out and leave for the airport, we were not allowed to leave until a staff member physically went up to our room on the 14th floor and checked our room over. Despite us arguing that we did not leave anything and that we had to get to the airport, the doorman told our Grab driver in Filipino that we could not leave. Not only is this the most unwelcoming hotel, but it is so uncomfortable and a waste of money. We really would have been better off saving our money and sleeping in the airport before our flight.

Nice staff, but the hotel and the room was dirty (the floor). There is no proper shower. You get what you pay for but I was expecting a little bit more. We won't repeat, and I don't recommend it to anyone.

The staff is great, really nice people. But WiFi is extremely slow so you can't even watch a YouTube video in your room. I guess a 4 star hotel deserve a better wifi.

I spent my 10 days mandatory quarantine here and had a great experience. There's wifi in my room and the connection is stable throughout my stay. The room is really nice and clean. The served meals were also delicious but it's a little small in portion. Unlimited drinking water supply also provided. 👍👍 All the staff who brought me to my room during the first day, the swab test day and the one who fetched me in my check out day were all nice. Front desk staff is also helpful and responsive to all my calls. 👍 Thank you for accommodating me in my mandatory quarantine stay. 🥰

Only thing 4 star is the lobby. The rooms are dirty and stained with human fluids, be sure you bring a black like to make sure you’re not lying in something you shouldn’t be but also check the walls. The front desk staff is rude and condescending, definitely not 4 star service to be rude to your customers who are paying your salary.

If you are looking for a no fuzz hotel near at the center of makati business district, then consider this hotel a gem. The room is value for money. The only downside is the in room dining menu. Better to buy outside.

If you want a place to stay right smack dab in the middle of Makati, look no further than this place. Clean rooms, awesome staff, fits the budget, and is in the middle of everything! We will definitely go back again soon.

The place is beautiful! It always smelled nice, even in the hallways. Room was large for the price, and super comfortable. A/C worked well. Place was walking distance from everything - pharmacy, bank, convenience store, cafe, restaurant. Staff 100% one of the best in all my hotel stays. They even accompanied me and my kid to wait for a Grab ride when we checked out, took driver details and destination. I docked a star for service because of their restaurant (inflexible payment options, low quality food and unsanitary environment).

The first hotel in Philippines that check in like when you get an interview in NBI ,they'll double check your id and your face in case it was the fake one. The first hotel in Philippines that bike parking need to pay. The first hotel in Philippines that picture id not allowed. Residence id not allowed. Even if you're far from the hotel. They didn't ever been the one who's understanding. Instead just like a robot. The best service hotel in Philippines. 👍🏻👍🏻

Overnight Staycation with my family (kids and senior citizen). 3-bedroom. Front desk employee (woman, wasn't able to get her name) was rude and condescending. Guard at entrance was helpful but those in the parking were not. Parking was very bad. It was too steep and narrow. Elevators were too slow. Only a few works. Had to fall in line for sometime. Rooms were too plain. A bit old furniture. Beds are too small. Dirty bathrooms. Location is good. Not senior citizen friendly. Overnight stay is enough. But to stay here again, might not be ideal.

Really mixed feelings about our stay here. We had just a one night booked to stay here and wanted to extend. We were quoted 50% higher rate than the night before. When I went to the reception to pay this, the reception worker had printed a receipt but used correction fluid to write 4500. I asked him about this and he told me that he made it cheaper for me. He printed out a new receipt and had a quote of 7000 for a nights stay. More than 250% higher. I turned the page towards the light and could see that the price first printed out was 4000 and he had increased it to 4500. Really untrustworthy acts by receptionist and the management team when told of the issue.

Unfortunately while this hotel might of been a four star a few years ago, I am afraid that is definitely not the case now. The reception area is nice enough, but once you get to your room, reality comes crashing in. We attempted to get another room, after being held 45 minutes before being allowed to check in, and were told they had nothing else available. The shower was not working properly, and the bathroom was not what I would expect in a 4star hotel. Not Recommended

We’re on our third night at this hotel. I understand were quarantined and not allowed to get food delivered, but goodness, their in house restaurant didnt have any dessert, or drinks to offer. I’ve tried three times the past three days and nothing. I even asked if we can get some delivered but they said “No, we have milktea” but they dont. The bathroom clogged on out first night as well. No mattress, just a box spring to sleep on. The customer service is good but it can be improved. If I were to book a hotel again or know someone, unfortunately I wouldnt recommend this hotel.

Shower not working. Found a solution myself to make it work. Bath water dripping from shower area to bathroom floor. Last time we were here, shower and plumbing were also the issues. Access to get into tub is difficult for senior citizens and pwd. Internet died , reported it but solution took a long while. Towel rack is about to give way and detach from wall. Very careful not to tug against it. Bedside power outlet is about to get detached from the wall. We did not use it as safety precaution against possible electrocution and fire. Hoping that hotel management reads these reviews and takes action. I may check again the same room 2210 next month. Best regards.

We stayed here for a couple of days last summer. The rooms are pristine clean and they got comfy beds. The staff are friendly and responsive to our needs. We highly recommend this plcae!

The room was okay. I didn't like the fact that the AC was directly next to your bed blowing in your ear/ face at night. Also, be prepared when you check out to wait 15-25mins which was ridiculous, and my wife was very upset regarding that. Some staff was friendly while others not so much. The breakfast was okay, and we didn't get to try the Japanese restaurant. The gym is okay, and we didn't get to try the pool.

This is an outstanding property and all of the staff were amazing. Our front desk manager, Love, happily and gratiously catered to our every request and was most helpful in ensuring we enjoyed our stay. Even our room caretaker, Marian, who looked after our room most days was very pleasant and helpful. It is ideally located in an area with tonnes of shopping choices and a wide variety of eating establishments.

Decent place for the price. Great location but the building is odd. Some rooms have no views. Parking is a challenge with tight and steep driveways. Paid for parking too.

It was ok, not much facilities other than the small swimming pool on the roof top and small gym. Receptionists seems as if they have too much botox on their face that they dont know how to smile. The only time they smile is on my last day. I guess they're more happy when guests leave than welcoming

In the middle of Makati theres this quite economical hotel which provides excellent service. However there's a few things I'm unhappy with, the bathroom has this gap where its hard to clean so its quite dirty. My room is facing the road which is quite noisy. The breakfast is unique that you can order stuff for free but the taste is only decent, and the free flow fried food is always lacking. Overall i will give it a 7/10 for its good service and location.

I don’t really recommend this hotel. I booked for a non-quarantined room. No notes in Agoda or prior to booking that they are not allowing outside visitors except those that are registered. They asked for 5k security deposit which was fine but the policy is not even explained nor being shown. If i knew, i wouldn’t book this place. But i already paid in agoda. I booked a premium twin suite and there’s 2 double bed. I booked this because this is the room with bathtub and i had a friend who slept over so I had to register her but she is the only person that can go in and out. Again, I booked a non-quarantine hotel. And they don’t offer a housekeeping to clean the room even if i booked it for 5 nights. What a bad experience. No breakfast inclusion, no visitor allowed, no housekeeping to clean the room is provided. The lights are flickering. Incomplete kitchen materials.

I stayed in this hotel for my 10 days of quarantine. Since this is part of an international chain with good reviews, I thought my stay would at least be fair, but that was opposite of my experience. My room looked good: spacious and well appointed. Lots of light, and it looked clean. But my room was like a good looking apple that's rotten to the core, nothing was as it seemed. For starters, the room was full of cockroaches. I was told at the start of my 10 days stay that I would not be able to transfer rooms, so I was stuck with them. The bed...sigh. it looked great, but there was no mattress; only a box springs with some if the spring ends pointing. It was as hard as the floor, and with the bad springs, I would have rather slept on the floor...except for, you know, the cockroaches. Finally...food. My stay was supposed to include meals for 10 days, and because it was a quarantine stay, no food could be delivered from outside the hotel. The hotel staff assured me when I booked the room that the meals would be great. Turns out when they said 'great', what they meant was liver and cold. 30 of 30 meals served cold, yeah all of them. 5 times in my 10 days they served liver. I saw more liver on my plate for that stay than I've seen in my previous 20 years. 1 star for the worst hotel stay I have ever had in my life.

  • 2/5 Rafael M. 1 year ago on Google
The rooms were spacious, cold, and neat but the shower / bath tub needs renovation. The elevators were slow. Parking is not included, you need to pay PHP 180, the parking is also difficult to maneuver for big cars as the roads that leads up are too narrow, thus street parking is advisable. Although the front desk staff were attentive, it was obvious that they were just doing usual job without the filipino hospitality. We were in a hurry to checkout but they kept us waiting for 30 minutes, the worst checkout experience for us, they could have been flexible in just letting us go ahead and contact us if there were any issues.

I usually pass by this hotel every week days. It is nothing extraordinary since there are a lot of options in Makati. It is simple and this is the only hotel that I haven't tried visiting. It is fancy and it is a great place. I also asked my friends if they have visited that place. They were not able to experience the gorgeous place.

I wasn’t able to stay kasi pang quarantine lang pala ang tinatanggap nila pero okay lang. Ang gwapo ni kuya receptionist. Too bad I didn’t get his name pero he was so helpful and he recommended me a different hotel. The guy at the entrance is super nice din. I think manager sya or something or security. He even helped me carry my stuff when my grab came. Thank you Valero!

I’m still here at the hotel for another 8 days. Anyway, I asked the housekeeper if possible to transfer me to another room and she said she will refer this to her supervisor and will get back with me, until now she has not. The reason why I want to move to another room is the shower area, the water doesn’t drain well because of the way it’s tiled. There’s no plumbing problem. And I don’t get how the shower door is positioned. I stay in a lot of hotels and I haven’t encountered this issue. If I was just here for 1,2,3 days, I’ll put up with these issues but I have another 8 days to go. And the faucet in the bathroom isn’t working well… To be fair, the whole staff… the front desk, the guards are all very respectful, pleasant people. They are all exceptionally commendable! Would I stay here again, probably… After this was posted, the reception called my room for a transfer to another room, much bigger, the faucet works well and the shower door is positioned correctly! Thank you so much for listening to my concerns. And this room has 3 full mirrors which I didn’t have in my initial room. Everybody, let alone women need a full mirror, an added bonus. Can’t thank you enough!

We stayed for couple of weeks. We really enjoyed our stay. The staff were really kind and helpful. The pool and gym were really clean and kids also enjoyed it. Room and toilet were clean and comfortable. We enjoyed in room massage and food. The bathroom needs a little fixing as the water keep spilling out of the bathtub and flood the floor we had to tuck in towels to stop the water leaking. The wifi connection was very good.
