8 years and $1,000,s of US dollars with Pacific Cross with one small claim of 4k pesos and saying i had mild hypertension. They did nothing but raise the premium and call it a preexisting condition. I didn't have high blood pressure and I kept telling them that for several years. They finally said if I got a complete examination by a physician and have him state I was in good health they would take it off. I did just that and received a clean bill of health with a certificate signed by two ER doctors. They then said it was reinvestigated and couldn't take it off after spending 6k pesos for all the tests and certificate. Also when it's time for you to pay your premium they are contacting you weeks before but when they owe you money it takes months. In my opinion it was a total waste of time and money ever getting involved with Pacific Cross. I've got more coming about this issue soon with names being posted on the website. In my opinion DONT waste your time with this company and their ROYALE BLUE policy iIt's all about making money and nothing about listening to.the policy holder.

THE WORST SERVICE. EVER. EVER. Sales was diligent, of course, they needed the sales. But they conveniently neglected to tell me about the increase on my second year. Insurance Commission should really look into this. It’s fraudulent! They say claims take 14 business days. I had claims pending for 6 MONTHS for some reason that they could have fixed right away. After sales is an absolute nightmare. Don’t even bother. They are unresponsive and it’s so funny that they give you a card with a customer service contact number but the contact number is WRONG. I was redirected 2-3 times and, still, no one was able to help. They even have this service that can help you book a doctor. Don’t be fooled. Just book a doctor yourself. It’s easier. They never got back to me. Premium price for garbage service. Their inclusions may look good, but don’t be fooled, they’re pretty much just after the premiums. They’re not there to be of service to their customers.

Very poor after sales service! Tried calling their landline over 10x in the past 3 days, either no one's answering or the call will get dropped. Emailed multiple times also, no reply. Think twice before getting this insurance! If they can't cater to calls and emails, how do you expect them to approve your claims?

The company took much time to provide us with what we paid for after a considerable payment for their premium. We almost beg for updates. Where is the professionalism here? What is the value of your client? Just after the money? If you're interested in availing of their services, I suggest you find another provider. You'll waste your money on this company. So frustrating!

Flight was delayed for a couple days so i was trying to claim compensation for it.. they will ask for so mamy requirements, even an "official/confirmation letter" from the airline, which is obviously hard to get also. My airline was able to provide one but pacfic cross wanted to get more details about the reason provided by the airlines... geez. All these delays are making me think they just want to hassle you so you wont push through na with the claims since it's not that big anyways UPDATE! My airline could not provide me the specific reason for the *operational issue* which caused my flight cancellation. Told pacific cross about this but the CS was adamant that they could not process the claims without it. I have already proven that my flight was indeed cancelled, I dont know why the specificities are impt and why i have to carry this burden of acquiring it

Pacific Cross doesn't seem to care for their clients! A bit of request which I asked to return the original documents ( after declining my claim) was also ignored . Being a senior has to be considered, that I need to go to Philhealth after they denied my claim. Soo frustrating !!! Having to pay for huge amount and denied utilization when needed, very POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE

terrible insurance company. Treats everything as pre existing. I’m sure if I break a bone they will deny payment because I broke my arm as a kid! Buyer beware! They will do anything to deny a claim. And you have no recourse. There refund policy is not a straight line percentage if you cancel.

TERRIBLE insurance company. Do not EVER consider getting insurance from them. About 3 months after getting a policy with them, I found out I had a cyst. I started the process to get surgery to remove it only to be told that (surprise!) they wouldn't cover my procedure because they considered it "pre-existing". They said I'd need to wait one year and will cover me in my second year. I confirmed this with the agent on the phone, my agent, and even the manager my agent was talking to. I also confirmed this with my new agent, who works directly with Pacific Cross, when I had to stop working with my old one. Then, after I renewed and applied again to have surgery, lo and behold they wouldn't cover me! They only want to do a "pay and claim" process, which isn't even guaranteed to cover me. How ridiculous! What is the point of me renewing? It's clear they only want to get money from you. An absolutely evil insurance company.

it's difficult to contact the member hotline (despite the claim that they are open 24/7).. I hope the customer service improves. Also, their select standard plan has a lot of procedures that don't get covered i.e. diagnostic tests recommended by doctors like CT scan, blood tests, xray, etc. Outpatient procedures have generic descriptions in the policy so it's unclear what gets approved and not.

Absolutely the WORST HMO provider I have ever encountered in my life. They tell our employees that we have not paid for their premiums that is why their claims are being rejected WHEN WE HAVE PAID. Do not waste your time with this company. It will just end in tears.

As I am planning to get an insurance I check first the online reviews. The overall rating of Pacific Cross is average. But the numbers of recent bad reviews is overwhelming. Here’s the reason why I am not going to subscribe with you: 1/ to each negative review, there is not a single Pacific Cross response with « we are really sorry for your bad experience with us » It is just confirmation that it’s a purely transactional company that doesn’t care for its clients. 2/ long waiting time for claims to be examined and paid and even claimed that got approved first and denied later using the « pre existing condition » excuse. It’s a classic for medical insurance. If it’s time to pay, they’ve got to find an excuse not to pay. Pacific Cross is a champion! As always, they will follow up your premium payment to make sure you pay on time but when it’s their turn to cash out, it’s radio silence 3/ it’s a mistake not to handle customer’s complaints properly when you have the chance to do so. Once it is on social media, on the internet, it’s too late. Without customers you will cease to exist FYI. So yes, people do check online reviews about everything they plan to spend their hard earned money on, including insurance companies and their products .

Please do not get Travel Insurance from Pacific Cross. I got the most comprehensive travel plan from them. During my travel, the airline damaged my luggage and had to leave it in NY as I was traveling by train inter state. My plan includes 1,000 USD damage to baggage. They asked me to send all the required documents which i complied with within the stated period. In the end, they denied the claim stating damage to baggage is not part of the coverage. Anyway, do not waste your money on this company. They will just collect the money but will make claims difficult. Look elsewhere!

WORST MONEY-GRABBING INSURANCE EVER. I had one myself so I recommended my husband get one, and he chose the more premium, more costly plan. When we tried to claim for medical tests, they stalled replying and eventually denied them. When I said we'll cancel the insurance, they initiated a "re-assessment" wherein they couldn't even do their job properly. How do I know? 1. They asked us for the doctors' contact numbers AFTER A FEW MONTHS into the re-evaluation because they "couldn't find it." Wth? A medical insurance company can't call a hospital to simply do their job? The point person never even spelled the doctor's name right—not even in one email! 2. They kept saying they "can't get a hold of the doctor for more info because his schedule is erratic." If I can easily book an appointment with them, why can't Pacific Cross do the same? 3. I constantly followed up for ALMOST 6 MONTHS only to get denied again by a re-evaluation we didn't even ask for. Our case has been passed on to different people, to the "managers" and "heads" that are completely unresponsive. 4. The insurance agent assigned to us was quick to reply when she was closing a sale, but when we started following up for claims and following up for even just updates, NO ONE FROM HER TEAM REPLIES. It's like a one-person email thread with 6 other people cc'd who just blatantly ignore us. The last straw and most ridiculous part is I asked the agent a simple question DURING OFFICE HOURS and she replies to me half a day later to say she just went out "to buy medicine" and that's why she couldn't reply to me earlier, after I continuously followed up. Really, the WHOLE AFTERNOON to buy meds? PACIFIC CROSS THINKS THEIR CLIENTS ARE STUPID and will just accept any excuse given to them for lack of communication. I have been kind to that said agent and extended my patience a lot because whenever she doesn't reply on time she uses her health condition as a reason, but this last incident is proof that they just don't want to do their jobs properly. If someone is not even fit to work, why don't they let the ill person take a time off, assign another person to take over in the meantime, instead of bombarding clients with excuses and PERSONAL pictures that I, as a client, don't need to see or know? Really unprofessional. If you want to WASTE TIME, MONEY, and ENERGY and be constantly STRESSED because of their INEFFICIENCY and LACK OF RESPECT FOR YOUR TIME AND BEING, I highly recommend Pacific Cross! To the PC employee replying to the negative Google reviews with a useless, templated response: Are you really happy with your job being part of a heartless company, while the clients who need actual medical needs from them suffer?

Got the Blue Royale and it's quite expensive yet all numbers are unreachable when am having covid and need help. So I end up paying everything on personal account. Update: I emailed my follow ups since September 12, until now Nov 3, no feedback for a very simple claim. I certainly doubt they can deliver service at all.

If you want to waste your money and energy, you can consider this company. Their policy precess is very inefficient and they request so many papers and proofs unnecessarily. I never had this much headache with any other insurance companies. More importantly you won’t get paid unless it is a very small claims. I should've checked google reviews before I had joined their membership then I could’ve saved my money and time on arguing with them. If you are reading my review, walk off now. You’re lucky.

Be careful of this company. They will do anything to get your business but once they get it they will barely cover anything. They will go through all the loopholes. I was just diagnosed with diabetes and they wouldn’t cover it because its a “pre-existing” condition when it was only diagnosed now. Robbers. Do not give them your business

Our Account Manager is always helpful. However, I seriously think that there is something wrong with their processes. They miss a lot of details. I have to send stuff to them repeatedly. They require a lot of paperwork - ridiculously a lot. It's very time consuming to transact with them. I have never encountered an HMO provider that requires this much unnecessary paperwork and effort.

This insurance company deserves nothing but a negative review! Worst insurance I came across with. Sent a claim for almost 2 months now. They keep on coming back with the same request which I provided every time they ask, walang sistema. It will take a number of follow ups before they even reply, then will go back on the same issue. Reading all the negative reviews here, Please don't try getting their service. Once you paid, they're done! They don't give peace of mind.

Got the travel insurance. Filed claim on September. Followed up a dozen times and still nothing. It's already December and they haven't given my anything except for customer service people who just keeps on saying they escalated but don't have any update as to what the claim's status is. Do not waste your money on this company.

03/10 - Update Just to update my previous review. I was able to get a response from Pacific Cross after three months and counting. Just because I e-mailed “The Insurance Commission” stating my request and actions I’ve done before seeking the help of the said institution. Cut to, my request now has been processed and as of my parents agent who’s unresponsive. The agent resigned last December 2022 without any proper transition or whatsoever communication to me or to my parents. Proper handover ? Just my thoughts, for those who is planning to acquire any kind of insurance/policy in this company. Please learn from my experience and take note of all the negative comments here in google . Thank you. ############## If there would be a negative rating I will do So! ############## After I paid my parents policy no one dares to answer my request to change the beneficiary details, what more in case of emergency? I’ve tried to reach out with my agent seems like his Not affliated with pacific Cross any more. Tried to send email, they answered Once but its almost a month then? Email say to prioritize with any update haha When i was in the Philippines, tried to call the customer hotline but it took me forever with long queues , call ended always. My excellent customer service experience. Please consider my comment and other reviews before buying a policy! I really regret buying Two policies!!!

DON'T AVAIL ANY SERVICES FROM THEM... WASTE OF MONEY!!! That's for sure based on our experience of more than 6 months, our claims are still not processed. Most of the responses FROM THIS THREAD we get are from agents who just want to earn a commission. They require a ton of documents, then they say they haven't received them or they claim that the person handling it is pregnant, so they can't reply to emails. They would say the claim is denied, but the reason they give doesn't match the policy, which is why it got rejected. If you don't know how to read, they can get away with not paying you. Sometimes they respond to emails only when you bombard every department, and then they would say you're still lacking documents (even if you've already submitted everything). When we pointed out that their reasons were incorrect and that we have the right to make a claim according to our policy, they resorted to delay tactics. They would say it will be processed in 2-4 days, but it has already been a month and they can't even reply with an update. Are all the employees at Pacific Cross giving birth every day that they can't even reply to an email? Maybe they'll say to us that the person handling it is on maternity leave, so it's difficult for them to respond or provide a status. By the way, we copied all the departments in our email, but no one bothered to follow up. I think they will only take action if we escalate the issue to the media. Update: After more than 6 months, no updates, no claims. Nganga. Partida every month, tumatawag ako sa customer service nila at nageemail ako sa lahat ng department. Don't trust them with your money. Empty promise and wallet. Btw, we are claiming for our travel insurance. I have several trips this year, buti di na ako magaavail pa sa mga susunod na travel ko sa kanila

For the most part I am really happy with my health plan with Pacific Cross. Thank you for providing a very comprehensive medical coverage. I also got a Premier plan (for senior citizens) for my mother. Though she has not used it yet, am still happy because she is healthy. Pacific Cross also offers travel insurance plans through their website. My domestic and overseas trips are always covered for medical and travel inconveniences. I just take note of the claims requirements so that it will not be difficult for me when I file a claim.

Does not worth the money with plenty of agents making commissions on customers without knowing policies. Took medical coverage for my family and I, had to face lot of difficulties to get answers to basic questions and finally found out that when they computed our billing statements, they made mistake (intentionnaly or not, who knows) and insured us for more expensive plans which none of them noticed (main office who issued billing statement, local agent who is only here to get commissions, nothing else). They are making mistakes then ask us to make letter and keep promising to refund overpaid amount - still waiting refund since several weeks (will probably need to open a case for few 1000s pesos) and in top of that, family and I (with a 6 weeks new born) are now left without insurance at all. Dissapointed.

I paid for my renewal last Sept 2020, but until now they haven't processed my payment yet. 2 months, no receipt, no concrete proof! Very disappointed. They are quick to remind you to pay, but very slow to process your payment. I haven't actually been hospitalised yet. I can just just imagine how slow they probably would be when processing payments for hospitalisation. Update: Got the receipt Nov 2020

A truly evil company if there ever was one. Got their health policy via Raroco Insurance. Months later, I needed an in-patient, partial mastectomy. They denied my claim on the basis of all my past ultrasounds since I started getting them, all of which had benign findings. Basically, if you're a woman, and you've ever had any sort of cyst, mass, lump, pigsa, pimple-- so 90% of women-- expect to have your claim denied because they will consider that a pre-existing condition, kahit benign or normal pa yan. Of course, none of this is conveyed when their agents are preying on you with emotional lures about caring for your family, worst-case scenarios, etc. etc. I liken getting health insurance with Pacific Cross to playing those claw games at the mall. You'll drop your money, but the vast likelihood is you will walk away with nothing but a sunken cost. I hope not poorer health due to stress, but the way they operate, it's a possibility. I asked my doctor friends for alternatives to health insurance and their advice was ridiculously simple: Just budget the money you would give to these scammers in a separate health emergency fund. It's boring, difficult for most in the reality of the Philippines, and doesn't have the quick-fix appeal that Pacific Cross sells to you (then weasels out of delivering), but at least you have peace of mind knowing that you didn't just sink tens or hundreds of thousands that you'll likely never see again. Insurance is an invented need by evil capitalists like Pacific Cross. They stay in business by circulating the money they swindle from people, knowing that they will never deliver on the vast majority of valid claims. Evil. Evil. Evil. How do you people, in your posh Rockwell offices, sleep at night?

If I would get an insurance in the Philippines , it would be Pacific Cross . I am an insurance believer ( I don’t sell btw ) . I am currently not based in Manila but I had Pacific Cross when I was working in Manila before . I got my mom’s personal health insurance from Pacific Cross , and during the beginning of lockdown my mom was in an emergency non-Covid situation . We were not able to access her card but it was resolved after I contacted their customer service . I understood that due to this current pandemic we are transitioning globally to work from home and I know we can always reimburse. Our second attempt was 2 months after that incident . My mom needed a surgery . Our experience with Pacific Cross specifically with Miss Michelle S. from Contact Center Department and Miss Marianne A. from Members Relations Department was worth commending ( above and beyond !) .They were on top of my mom’s pre -approval process. They were responsive and helpful to my mom’s insurance needs . Thank you again Miss Marianne , Miss Michelle and Pacific Cross team . I highly recommend Pacific Cross as always .My mom got discharged smoothly ! God Bless you all! From Dubai ! 💕

Don't ever consider signing up with this company. Promising their clients within 10-14 business days turn around time never happens. They don't even communicate the reason if there is a delay You will be wasting a lot of time for follow ups. Basically you are at their mercy. Fyi, thank God I am not their client.

I was hospitalized just recently and had a horrible experience with them. So, I was rushed to the ER because of high fever and a pimple on back that got infected. Apparently it needed to be drained so I had to be admitted and go under a minor surgery. Prior to being admitted, the hospital called them and they gave the go signal for admission. Everything’s fine until I was about to be discharged and had problems with the billing department because this scammer of a company decided not to cover even a single peso on my bill stating that my condition was a pre-existing one. Mind you, the diagnosis was Cellulitis. They were pointing the note that the doctor indicated on the medical abstract that I was “at risk” of having diabetes, I was not even diagnosed yet they are saying that “at risk” and “have” or “diagnosed” are all the same. Also, they said that they don’t really cover cellulitis as it was associated with diabetes. Had they said it first hand before admission then we could’ve been prepared or transferred to a semi-private hospital or a public hospital will do and not ending up spending thousands of pesos because they have put us in a situation where in we don’t have any choice. We felt robbed, really. So, please! Take this experience as a lesson not to put your hard earned money to companies who do not take care of their clients. I hope you don’t end up in this kind of situation. Please read other reviews from google, there’s a lot more bad experiences than good ones there. there’s a reason why their review section in Facebook are turned off. Personally, I won’t believe stories from agents because whatever they say, it’s always biased. They needed the sales. I will believe stories from actual clients that had already experienced their service then I will decide from there.

They asked me for a flight irregularity report since I got delayed for 12 hours. I told them that the airline is unresponsive given they (AirBerlin) declared bankruptcy and I will never be able to get those papers. I messaged the Airport and they directed me to the Airline. No further help was given, no reply. Maybe it's just me because unluckily the Airline shut down during my case. But nevertheless, no reply and alternative help offer means I need to look for a better company.

Just availed their insurance beginning of this year. I cannot believe it is so difficult just contacting them! I tried calling two of their hotlines and every time I press a number for one of their prompts, it is not working! I've also been trying to call their mobile and Viber number and the other person on the other side is hanging up! I have also tried to schedule an APE last February with them 2 months ago and to this day hey haven't replied. I will not be renewing my insurance with them!

I availed their travel insurance and I got charged 3x by paying online using my credit card. It's almost 2 months since then. I have paid those charges in my card bec it was due already. I have sent several follow ups and these are their excuses - endorsing, still waiting, checking and now ignoring. This wasn't even a claim for insurance. This were just payments that has to be reversed and it's taking sooo long.

The worst experience happened a year ago, when my assigned agent assured me over the phone that my future exam would be covered (so I proceeded), then Pacific Cross later rejected the claim, then my agent simply stopped responding, and after months of frustrating and time consuming back-and-forth they finally reversed their decision. I'm paying for an expensive plan plus "Executive" add-ons, and this is how they treated me. You think they're interested in your health? Haha...no. Other things to improve: constantly ignoring emails and failing to follow-up (I'd guess 80% of email threads just dead-end if I don't keep pushing), disapproving items in claims without any explanation, an ever-growing list of non-covered items (beware!), long pre-approval process yet even if pre-approved your claim may be flat-out declined should the underlying cause not be covered. I hope this company realizes how terrible their customer experience is, but I'm not holding my breath.

This insurance company doesn't even deserve to be rated 1 star. They said claims processing will take 10-14 days. It was already past their turn around time yet I have not heard back from them. No return emails, NOTHING. Don't waste your time on getting their travel and medical insurance even if it's the cheapest among the market.

Dont get travel insurance from them. Filed a claim, sent all the requirements. Never got any update since the acknowledgment of my claim application. Their premium is much cheaper than bpi, but bpi's claim process was so quick - it took them only 4 days. With pacific cross, nothing will ever happen. Will never ever again get travel insurance from pacific cross.

I will not recommend this insurance company. If you don't want a headache, please don't ever avail this insurance. Agents are not reliable (mine is Edgilou Mendiola) Reimbursement is so slow and my agent is not helping me and not replying with my messages and not answering my calls. If you want to get a health insurance, please consider other brands and stay away from this company. You'll just get sick and stress!!!

Think Twice Before Choosing Pacific Cross for Your Insurance Needs ⭐ 2/5 I recently had a terrible experience with Pacific Cross Insurance, and I feel compelled to share it with others who may be considering using them for their insurance needs. I am on the Select plan, with my parents under me, and I can't help but feel frustrated with the lack of support we've received. In fact, I was considering upgrading to a higher tier plan after trying out their standard plan, but after this experience, I'd rather not. Firstly, their SASSI team seems to be incredibly slow and inefficient. My parents needed to change the password for their account, and it has taken a painstaking two weeks without resolution. The inefficiency of their backend team is worrisome, especially when you consider that they are responsible for handling critical communications in the event of an emergency. While our agent was helpful and tried their best to assist us, there's only so much they can do when the backend team doesn't deliver. This has led me to question the overall quality and reliability of Pacific Cross's services. Additionally, the company's advice on password creation has been rather questionable. They repeatedly suggested that I use my birthday as the password, resulting in a series of weak and easily guessed passwords. This is far from the level of security one would expect from an insurance provider. I would also strongly advise against availing their outpatient add-on. It turned out to be more of a hassle than a convenience, as it required multiple visits to the doctor for them to fill out paperwork. This is counterproductive, especially when you're seeking medical attention. Frankly, I believe it's better to save your money monthly and use it when needed rather than relying on Pacific Cross. Their insurance policy has proven to be more of a headache than a helpful service. In conclusion, I would urge anyone considering Pacific Cross to look elsewhere for their insurance needs, even if you're opting for a standard plan. The lack of support, slow response times, and unnecessary hassles make it difficult for me to recommend their services. Save yourself the trouble and explore other options before settling for Pacific Cross. -- UPDATE: I'd like to mention that after months of frustration, Pacific Cross Insurance finally addressed the issues with the SASSI app. The resolution was due, in large part, to the consistent efforts of our agent who remained helpful throughout the ordeal. While this does alleviate some of my earlier frustrations, I still believe there's a significant need for Pacific Cross to upgrade their backend operations. Despite the eventual resolution, the fact it took several months to address the issue underscores the inefficiencies I experienced. For those considering Pacific Cross for their insurance needs, this recent development might make the company a bit more appealing, but it's essential to weigh the potential for similar issues. I stand by my initial advice to explore all options before settling on Pacific Cross for your insurance needs.

I had a horrible experience and I will not buy their insurance again. I bought an insurance package that should have covered medical expenses. I had to go to the ER abroad and I had all possible documentation and receipts from hospital bills, medical bills, and prescriptions -- all of these were incredibly clear. Upon placing my claim, Pacific Cross simply pointed out a random detail on my application form that rendered it invalid. So I did not get any reimbursement despite PAYING for this travel medical insurance. WHAT A SCAM. NEVER BUY INSURANCE FROM HERE.

I raised concern with pacific cross on my mother's reimbursement for her hospitalization around 2nd quarter of 2023. Several emails has been sent to them asking for some clarification on the computation because the reimbursed amount was way lower than how much i expected to receive. I was ignored until now, they dont want to explain nor clarify how the computation ended up that way.

Worst insurance company, don't deserve even 1 star. I filed my refund and sent all necessary documents since June 19 and I was advised it will take 15-30days for me to receive my refund and its turning 3 months now.. Kept on sending emails and messages in their viber contact as well but kept on making excuses and funny thing is they will deduct 20% to the amount that you avail for admin fee. Please don't avail any insurance from them.

😐 Their new LOA request using a ticketing system is fast and easy to use. However, their customer service hotline is pathetic and unprofessional. They will put you on hold for around 15 to 30 minutes or even longer for a simple request. I've experienced this several times already. I have no choice but...
