The place where a Muslim imam of nearby Karbala mosque offered a cucumber to Swami Vivekananda when swamiji was about to die to thirst and starvation. The great soul saved the life of Swamiji.

Swami Vivekananda, while travelling as a wandering monk came to this spot one day and fell unconscious. A muslim beggar caretaker named Zulfikar Ali gave him a cucumber and water. Since then this place has been a site of pilgrimage for those who have affection fro Swami Vivekananda in their heart. A beautiful place to witness the Harmony of Religion and Universal Brotherhood preached by Swami Vivekananda.

Excellent location on Shitalakhet hilltop, gives beautiful view of Himalayan peaks, has a very old & devout temple. A must visit place for those who live nature.

Best place to chill out for groups and couples. Avoid going after dark as the area is surrounded by dense forest and leopard siting is quite frequent. If got some time, visit the Dolidana Temple, Leprosy Mission and Vivekanand House as well.
