Truly excellent food with amazing service that will make you want to come back again and again. The cod was melt in your mouth incredible, the yellow tail sashimi delicious and the black sesame ice cream with red bean was something special.

As always, service is 5 star. Place is clean & sanitised as befitting Shangri-La standard. One of the best Japanese food in town altho many newer competitors around. A casual place for lunch or dinner. Menu range is good.

Good quality food topped with warm friendly service! Value for money in this cozy outlet. Be it for drinks or a meal with your friends, loved ones or business associates, it is always a pleasure to be in the company of the service crew here.

The ambience is good and the service great. We had their bento set and dragon roll. The bento comprised many types of meats ( sashimi, sushi, fried chicken, eel, cod, prawn, etc ) and came with a salad, chawanmushi and soup, and was good value for money. However the dragon roll was a bit bland

Deep fried soft shell crab roll (1/5) - the sushi rice is really cold and hard. Soft shell crab is not crunchy at all. Presentation is decent but overall the roll is so bad. Its unfair to compare but I’ve tasted so much better at other entry level / more reasonable Japanese place. Charging RM48 for this is absurd. Salmon garlic fried rice (1/5) - the garlic fried rice and salmon are tasteless. It’s very bland. The garlic fried rice is so bad which is very disappointing because I thought this would be the most basic dish in a Japanese restaurant. The garlic is so hard and not crunchy at all. It’s as though, the fried garlic has been left overnight. Service & ambiance (4/5) - waiter and waitress were really attentive and quick. Ambiance is nice. Overall, I will not return because the food is so bad and charging at insanely high price where the basic dish also can’t get it right.

Pricy and authentic Japanese dining at Shangri-la KL. Highly recommended their Unagi and Miso Cod fish which actually melted into your mouth.

Don’t expect the best Japanese food that you can get out there, but still decent enough. Had one of the dinner sets & portion was more than enough. Ambience is lovely. Service is good.

Given its reputation and the prices charged, heavily disappointed during my visit. - had strand of hair in my nigiri - sashimi had bones in them Food was nothing spectacular. There are many good japanese restaurants nowadays serving at a fairer price. 10/10 would not return. More on my ig @foodadventureswme

Sushi is great, fresh with a light amount of wasabi underneath the toppings. Steak, was ok, but sauce was strong- meat flavor was overpowered by it. Fried rice was alright, same for the tempura. Would definitely eat here again, I hear the cod is great!

It's a quiet place for lunch. There is a mini Japanese Garden and waterfall which some seats at the restaurant faces which gives a serene and calm feel while eating. The salmon fish is fresh and I love the edamame. The prawns this round was a little smaller than the usual. And the garlic fried rice was a little cold and soggy. They have also cut cost by giving more cabbage instead of lettuce for the salad. Service at this place is always good. They've changed the way they presented their food. Missing the bento box especially since its a bento meal. Love the seaweed and the butter sauce that comes with the salmon.

Had birthday lunch today. The bento is a real treat. Each variety is fresh, unique taste and oishii. Always my fav Japanese spot. Service is excellent and they surprised me with a gratis dessert - domo arigato. Thanks for a great birthday treat Issac.

The ambience in Zipangu is great if you wish to meet and have a quiet discussion. Foodwise with the promotion of certain cards is good. Staff are very attentive, and the manager who was on duty is really friendly and service orientated
