One of the best restaurants I've ever been to. Good service and beautiful atmosphere. Slightly expensive but it's worth every penny of it. The seafood platter is delicious, and their main courses are full of flavor. 100% recommended it.

Excellent food & a great atmosphere, service is very good but this is a very busy popular restaurant so you must be prepared for that. Found some dishes can be very spicy even though they weren’t marked as spicy on the menu but overall the selection is excellent and the wine list caters for most tastes. In a good location with plenty of pubs around Malahide for pre or after drinks, and the fact that there is so much competition close by means Kajjal always aims to make your meal a memorable one.

Amazing service here. I have serious allergies to so many foods and the chef here prepared the most beautiful meal that I enjoyed without side effects. The level of concern in getting it right(safe) was outstanding. Beautiful ambience and a wonderful location. With friends who thoroughly enjoyed their meal and the lunch menu was very good value.

My friend and I did TY work experience here at Kajjal for two days. The staff were extremely welcoming and very professional. The executive chef, Monty and the staff taught us a lot whilst we were there. They were extremely helpful and kind whenever we did a mistake or had a question, and we got to learn a lot about the environment and what happens at a restaurant. On break they gave us delicious food and were very generous. Would highly recommend going here for the food or work experience!

This restaurant is amazing. It's a very romantic atmosphere & the staff are very accommodating. I've had no complaints here. I've been here twice - one about 3 months ago & one time about 4 years ago... I've had a pleasent experience both of times I went.

Great dinner, crab claws and grilled shrimp both excellent appetizers.Nehari Gosht, and Makhani Murghi we’re excellent main courses. Ask for non spicy if you prefer. Top notch meal with friendly staff.

From the perspective of an American tourist... GO DIRECTLY HERE, CURRY HEAVEN. APPROPRIATELY SIZED PORTIONS OF PERFECTLY SPICED INDIAN FOOD. ...I want a chicken korma from this place fed to me on my death bed. Also, had the tandoori lobster, surpassed expectations. It saddens me that Indian Food in America is hot garbage, this is worth a six hour flight.

Amazing Food and Great Service Went for dinner today with a friend (we were finally able to book a table) and had already seen the menu at home so we knew what we wanted. All the waiters went to the extra mile to give us a top-notch experience. The kindness and politeness of the staff left us amazed and pleasantly relaxed. The atmosphere inside was lovely and the wine-bottles wall is stunning LoL We enjoyded and will look forward to another chance in the near future. ps: we had Mushroom Baji Tandoori Tigh Chicken Tikka Chargrilled Sea Bass

A warm, cosy Christmasy atmosphere awaits all diners to this lovely restaurant. The decor is lovely and tables are spaced very cleverly to create personal spaces for couples and groups. The place was teeming with happy diners on Sunday last and there was a great positive buzz about the place. Its popularity is testimony to the quality of food and service here. The place is spotlessly clean. The clientele is upmarket, and many dress smartly for this special occasion. Wide selection of food and wines is available, and portions are generous. The lunch special during the week or the Sunday early bird special are particularly good value. Recommended, and not as expensive as you might think. It is surely one of the finest dining experiences in Malahide.

Been nearly 2 years since we’ve been here for obvious reasons. Been coming here since it opened and this place never disappoints, the food is consistently excellent, the staff are always genuinely interested in making sure you have a good time and the atmosphere is always great.

One of the tastiest lamb kormas I've ever tasted. Lots of lamb, completely lean and very tender. Staff were really pleasant and obliging. Presentation of the dishes were immaculate, (until we got our hands n them). Cocktails were perfect. Restaurant was full yet laid out perfectly so we weren't cramped. 10/10.

Shocking. These guys had the audacity to serve me a naan stuffed with cheddar cheese, and call it a paneer naan. What's worse is that upon making them aware that they had given me a naan with cheddar, they then tried to convince me that it was paneer. Really???? Red paneer? New to me. Their food was poor. I ordered a lamb dish, and the lamb was really tough and chewy - neither marinated long enough, nor cooked slowly enough. If you want decent indian/pakistani food - there's better places even in malahide village. For a busy place, the hype is far from warranted. Advice - go elsewhere.

A beautiful venue that gave us a warm welcome. The service was great and the food both complimented and surpassed the service. The cocktails were both unique and exquisite. The curry I had was the best I've had in Ireland thus far. Actually had a kick but not overpowering the aromatics and rich deep flavours. Highly recommend visiting Kajjal should you have the chance.

I cannot say enough about the service we received prior to and during our meal. The food is exceptional without comparison, but I would go back again and again because of the service.

Always a delight to be eating here. Staff are wonderfully attentive. The food quality is superb, the cuts of meat, be it lamb or chicken , are sumptuous. The lamb chop starters are so good. The Chana masalla is superb and the cocktails pre dinner are highly recommended. Can't wait to go back

Very nice food and nice balance of spices across the board. Highly recommend trying it. Service was ok waited too long in some aspects. Atmosphere was ok but seating slightly cramped and uncomfortable many times not enough room on the table for everything. My recommendation is to allow for more dining space and improve communication on delays with more attentive service to attract back new customers. I liked the food but overall wouldn’t return.

Hard to get booking here but worth booking early , food is fab

food exceptional. Staff peaceful, cheerful, knowledgeable and welcoming. Our first meal out in Ireland in 18 months and it never disappoints. They took our booking at very short notice. They had a bottle of champagne ready at the table when we first walked in the door so we quietly toasted my girlfriend's birthday. Then a candle in her dessert and a chorus of 'happy birthday' at the end which I hadn't even asked for! Such detailed attention from the staff, they're on it. ? Worth every cent of the more than reasonable prices.

The service and food are second to none here. I can't get over how good the butter chicken curry is. I even took the leftovers home and had the next day...was still awesome! My new fave restaurant. Cocktails are pretty tasty too! The door guy is really funny, had the pleasure of hearing a funny story or two since we sat outside. Such friendly staff!

Kajal had come highly recommended and did not disappoint. I booked it for 6 and the service and food were absolutely second to none. There is a good choice on the menu and the restaurant atmosphere is lively. It's a stunning restaurant with elegant decor. I liked it so much that I booked it again for my husband's birthday this weekend. Highly recommend.

Delicious! I don't mind eating here every day. The chicken was tender and overall the plate was perfectly cooked. One thing that I didn't like the rice for two wasn't enough at all. This portion should be for one. Staff are really kind and friendly.

Kajjal was recommended to us by a friend. This cuisine will be as close it can get to Pakistani food in Dublin. We wanted to try the place and we didn't regret a bit. We tried the Buhari kebab, a must try if you're a meat fan. The Biryani was well blended along with the flavours of spice. Apart from the food, the ambience is quite warm and ravishing for a nice family/date night.

Food was nice. Staff very friendly and attentive. I like dimmed lights but a bit too dark in here. Nearly had trouble reading the menu it was so dark. Bit on the pricey side too for what you get imo. Portion sizes were small but didnt leave hungry. Had heard a lot about Kajjal but wasnt blown away by it like some of the reviews here. Price would put me off going back, although luckily given the area the restaurant is in money is no object for a lot of the locals.. im sure they probably won't miss my custom anyway.
